For so many lonely years
Searching for that someone
Who will wipe away the tears
To be there when the nightmares come
And to chase away the fears
To protect and keep away
All of the bad memories inside
Someone who understands
There are things that you must hide
Waiting for someone caring
Whose arms are warm and strong
And to at last hear the words:
"With me is where you belong."
Hoping to find someone
With a friendly, smiling face
And finally knowing that at last
