Finally, he sighs, he shall be free
Soon enough he shall make amends
Deep within the dark, cold night
Above shine delicate crystals of light
Small beads that could give him joy
But he dares not glance upwards
He cannot risk a connection with his past
The future is kind and gentle and quick
The thin black glass shall offer sweet respite
Yet not forgiveness
For forgiveness only comes to the worthy.
Not to him.
