  To The Star of My Life.

To the star of my life:
 
 
I guess the inevitable has come our way,
After all we’ve been through, you and I,
And now that it’s here, what can I say?
Whatever it is, I promise, it’s not goodbye.
 
But still, our lives head in separate ways,
The time has come for us to part,
But rest assured that in all my days,
You’ll always be with me in my heart.
 
You’ve given me so much, my life is whole,
And will be so forever, just because of you,
You’ve given me love, lifted my soul,
The one person who made my dreams come true.
 
I know my decision is hard to bear,
But so many have the life they shouldn’t be living,
And my heart now, belongs elsewhere,
It’s time I’m the one who did some giving.
 
I don’t mean to tear you up inside,
Although I know full well that I do,
Please understand that I must abide
To what my conscience says true.
 
And I know that it’s so hard to let go,
But remember that I’ll always be there,
No matter where I am, I want you to know,
That you’re my hero, I love you Papa Bear.
 
You’ll be in my soul, tucked away inside,
The star of my life for all my nights and days,
You’re my guiding light, and you can confide
That I’m more than just your navigator...always.
