  Think of the following as a letter from Kit, during a time before he met 
Baloo.  Possibly during the time when he was with the Air Pirates.  I hope 
the rest will speak for itself.
 
 
 
To whoever you may be:
 
I had a dream one time, not long ago,
Where my life was so fulfilled,
And when I woke up, and it wasn’t so,
It’s like my hopes had all been stilled.
 
But in my dream, I saw you there,
Though I can’t remember your face,
And I felt…  your warmth, I felt your care,
I felt that in your heart, I had a place.
 
I don’t know why you’re in my mind,
Because I know I’ve never met you before,
I guess I’m just stupid.  How could you at all find
That this miserable wretch ever deserved more?
 
I’m no angel, I have and will make my wrongs,
That’s who I am, I hope you’ll understand.
And I’m not sure yet what my heart truly longs,
But if you’ll still offer, I’ll take your hand.
 
I remember sleeping in the streets at night,
Looking up into the sky at a single star.
I wonder if you ever held the same sight,
At the same time,  I wonder who you are.
 
Where I’ve been, where I am...  my life at a glance,
I’ve always felt coldness,  so alone, dejected, torn apart,
But for giving me hope, or at least a hopeful chance,
I say thank you, whoever you are, from my heart.
 
My life,  it seems so empty, I feel so lost,
I know my choices haven’t always been right;
The paths I’ve taken, bridges burned after crossed,
I can only look to the future, maybe you’ll be in sight.
 
Then maybe I’m just a boy with dreams,
So foolish to think they would come true;
But I hope life won’t always be as it seems,
And if you do come, I’ll be waiting for you.
