The Money Vanishes

Reviewed: 12/28/2009

..AGAIN!

Scrooge seems to have a real problem when Gyro inventions and The Beagle Boys come together. If it isn't the Stop spell in Time Teasers; it's now the Warp spell in this one. I smell another long talk by Scrooge on Gyro after this episode is over. So let's rant on shall we...?!

This episode is written by David Schwartz. The story is edited by Patsy Cameron and Tedd Anasti. Ah; David Schwartz has been a writer since 1982 with Richie Richand wrote mostly animation episodes like Potato Head Kids, Glo Friends, Snorks, Sky Commanders, G.I. Joe, Gobots and the like. Nothing out of the ordinary. He also wrote a Super Mario Brothers Super Show episodes and kept writing until the Addams Family animated series in 1992/1993. Ducktales was his only DTVA writing credit; but he would have storyboard credits in TaleSpin, Darkwing Duck and Dave The Barbarian. His most recent credits are TMNT 2007 edition movie, Bratz: Super Babyz and Leapfrog: A Tad of Christmas Cheer.

We begin this one with a far shot of the Money Bin BEFORE HAPPY HOUR (sunset) as we pan up and zoom in while Scrooge hums. We then go inside the vault as the nephews are watching from the door as apparently; Scrooge's assets have grown about 500% since we last saw them. Seriously; the money is now up to while Scrooge dives from it. Scrooge is enjoying his money according to Dewey. NO?! REALLY?! I see that he built a top hat and cane rack on the left wall of the bin too. Scrooge is shoveling gold coins out of his wheelbarrow proclaiming that he loves to shovel it and swimming in it. And he wipes his forehead on a dollar sign cloth as he states that he loves counting it most of all. He throws the shovel onto the pile like a girl and then goes over to the rack and takes his top hat and cane off of it. See; the more he has to count; the more he loves it. He spins the cane and goes outside as the nephews follow him. Then Scrooge comes back and it's until tomorrow his beautiful cash; sleep tight and don't let inflation bite. I'm sorry; but this makes Baloo look absolutely reasonable in comparison. And yes there is a light switch in the vault as well as he closes the vault. So we logically head to....

...the prison AFTER HAPPY HOUR (after dark) and we zoom in and go to the hallway of prison cells. Then we pan over to the cell as we see the Beagle Boys pull on the bars while Big Time bounces on the bed proclaiming that they need to get out of here. In other words; just another typical day at the office. I see Burger is here as he wants to get a hamburger or a doughnut or something. Big Time tells him to relax because Ma's escape cake should be here any minute. Man; even Big Time realizes how stupid DTVA authority figures are. I see Baggy and Bouncer are also here as Bouncer wonders what Ma is going to put in the cake this time. Big Time thinks it's a file, TNT, the flamethrower or something like that. In other words; the usual. Burger wants some chocolate chips instead. I guess the cookie dough no longer agrees with Burger's stomach; which is a HUGE shock to me. And here comes Officer Parolski with the cake as he greets the boys and proclaims that Ma has outdone herself again (Hal Smith). Man; the TaleSpin police are REASONABLE compared to the Ducktales ones. I mean; there is a FREAKING SHOVEL in the cake and somehow Patrolski DOESN'T NOTICE?! Burger is all giddy (duh) but the cell door flings open and Burger is REJECTED. HAHA! Patrolski proclaims that Ma still loves those bad boys as Baggy talks about not being easy being wanted when you are wanted while standing NEXT to a Wanted poster of himself. HAHA! Irony is not their strong suit; though they would think it means Ma's ironing of clothes.

Parolski (I got it wrong) puts the cake down and walks away slamming the prison door as Burgers takes a nasty MAN-SIZED bump into air despite missing the wall by a foot and then drops on his ass. HAHA! Burger truly defies the laws of gravity on that one. Big Time thanks Officer Parolski for being so stupid. Even the wanted poster in a picture frame (Irony much there boyz?!) looks smarter than him. He tips the hat and calls the token of Ma's affection warming their hearts. That is so sweet of her. NOT! Burger likes the cake though, duh. Parolski walks away asking the Beagle Boys to send her something nice on Mother's Day. Burger takes the shovel from the cake and licks it. HAHA! I knew Burger had a shovel fetish; I just needed the evidence to prove it. Big Time takes the shovel away (BOO! HISS!) as Bouncer calls it a shovel and Baggy almost calls it a sh**; but recoils as Big Time calls it a ticket to get out of jail of course. Big Time's plan is to do the old shovel with spoon trick out of prison as the boys call it a good idea. Big Time doesn't like that response and they change it to a great idea. Yeah; the smallest guy in the room has the most power; go figure. Big Time accepts that one easily. It will take a whole night of back breaking, work aching muscles, dirt, sweat, tears and blood; but it will all be worth it. As soon as Big Time discovers where to dig first of course. And of course Bouncer gets the shovel and has to do all the work. HAHA!

So we head out in the streets as we pan right to the middle of the street and a hole is dug out and out comes the Beagle Boys. Should they be IN the sewers?! Logic break #1 for the episode as we hear Burger asking for bearing and of course they don't know. Bouncer sees some lights and hears a siren wail as a police car comes towards them and they bail down as the police car stops in front of DA...HOLE (god bless Baby Plucky!). So we go to the scene changer as we are on a lawn as another hole appears with dirt flying everywhere. Sadly; a helicopter whirls from above and flies overhead as it puts the spotlight on the park and the boys are forced underground again. To the police: I know you are stupid; but climbing down after them would be a great idea right now if you want to send them back to prison. So we go to another scene changer as we see another hole breakthrough and the Beagle Boys pop up...about a foot away from the first hole they dug. HAHA! Baggy sums it up very well as Big Time slams their heads into the hole and bail. So we head to Gyro's house in the morning with the blue bird flying and landing on the right pan shot. He goes for a worm and then another hole is dug and the bluebird flies away stage left. The Beagle Boys climb out as Big Time wants to find a good hideout. Burger gleefully thinks that a big fridge is a great hideout. HAHA!

The Beagle Boys practice the fine art of not being seen stage left (what is Big Time wearing on his head?) as a yellow flash comes OUT OF NOWHERE and we see...a fridge?! Burger is in his glory! SCORE! Burger opens the fridge and raids it, DUH! And then Big Time hears Gyro's voice as we head inside with Gyro calling his lamp a little bulb. I see where Scrooge gets his human relation with money from. See; Gyro has invented a Furniture Mover Ray which will make the world a cleaner place to live. And of course it's in the form of his tiny manhood laser. Oh goody! I get to finally bring Norton's dick jokes back for Gyro's last major appearance on DVD. I think. We then pan over and see little light bulb is a robot light bulb on the table reading in a little chair. He lights up of course. Gadget Man? More like Gadget Monster. AHHAHAHAHAHAHA! ZAP! OUCH! Ummmm....

Li'L Bulb (I'm guessing Frank Welker here) as Gyro promises to make his place cleaner too. I see the girlfriend stuff in Sir Gyro De Gearloose is off the table now. Lil'Bulb jumps for joy as Gyro comes over and sprays his television with the PINK HEMROID REMOVER SPRAY OF DOOM (he does call it Preparation Spray natch) as we see the news with the guy from Time Teasers at a desk near a globe (Chuck McCann) and he says nothing of note as he gets zapped by Gyro's tiny manhood laser. This is like shooting ducks in a barrel; both way. Plus; he can program it to be anywhere he wants as we see the Beagle Boys watching on as Big Time is on top this time. Gyro re-programs his manhood laser and zaps it just outside on the left side of the Beagle Boys as the news guy proclaims that the Beagle Boys have escaped again (and with a different voice pitch; despite being voiced by Chuck McCann still). Baggy (the one with the fold in his criminal number plate) blows him off because that wasn't his best side. BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHA! I'm not going to do a witty retort on that one; it speaks for itself.

So we head inside as Gyro dusts the floor with his brush duster proclaiming that he can dust under the furniture with the greatest of ease. And despite being a light bulb and not a living thing; Lil' Bulb sneezes when the dust comes his way. No really; I'm as shocked as you are. We then head outside the window as Big Time is standing on the television asking for them to imagine what they could do with that gizmo. I think your boyz are not the best guys to go to for imagining stuff Big Time..... And of course they come up blank. I am so damn good. Big Time invokes the Homer Simpson promo (D'OH! Why is it surprising that Homer's D'OH caught on despite being used by DTVA character long before this?) as he jumps down and proclaims that they can use it to make Scrooge's fortune disappear and reappear in their pockets. Cue evil laugh in muted tone of course. Did we really need a glorified shot of Big Time's ass there TMS?! Logic break #2: The boys should be standing behind the house; but the background is of open skies and it continues with Baggy's promo only with a tree on the left side. He wishes for bigger pockets of course. So we head to a shot of the doorbell and it gets crushed by the POWER OF THE PUNCH. Who did it? Does it matter?

Gyro answers the door and we see the Beagle Boys dressed up as door-to-door doctors. BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Now if Gyro was really smart; he would have noticed three things wrong: (a) Why would doctors go door-to-door these days? (b) Why would doctors wear black eye masks? and © Why would they wear criminal number plates on their chests? And on the c one; Is that their medical practice serial numbers or something? See; they are here to check on Gyro's health and Gyro thinks it's thoughtful. Riiiiiggggggghhhhhtttt. They grab Gyro and run with him into the room as Little Bulb watched on from the table helpless as they slam Gyro onto a chair and strap his arm with the blood pressure pump to the chair while Big Time checks his heart with the chest scanner. Usually my doctor does this one at a time; but with four doctors I guess it makes sense. Burger tells Gyro to say cheese; and then sticks the tongue stick in his mouth and proclaims that Gyro has trouble speaking. HAHA! Big Time was afraid of that; and usually trouble speaking means a sign of a stroke; but I doubt DTVA could do that kind of medical research.

Big Time places the chest scanner around Gyro's ears and takes out Gyro's alarm clock from his pocket and tells him that he's an unhealthy time bomb just waiting to go off. In other words; they are implying that he's going to have a heart attack. They pump the arm with a tire pump (HA!) and it's worse than expected according to Bouncer; implying that he has high blood pressure. Now THAT is getting crap past the radar as Big Time wants the spin test. And they spin him like a whirlwind because that is what this episode needs: More windbags. Gyro is dizzier than Jake The Snake Roberts on a Friday night. Big Time calls it Inventoritis. Geez Big Time; why don't you call it “Male De-Enhancement” while you are at it. AHHAHAHAHAHA! POW! OUCH! Ummm...Gyro's fist stings like a snake I see. See he has been sitting around thinking. These days; that would be playing Brain Age. In other words; Big Time is anti-gamer. Bouncer and Baggy grab Gyro and force him out to door as he needs a lot of exercise. They go out the door and then the boys jog backwards and tell him to jog a few hundred miles and they laugh. And Little Bulb gets tied up to the chair just to overkill the entire scene. Wow; you know the boys are on when they don't overlook that little detail.

So Bouncer grabs the Gyro's tiny manhood laser along with Big Time getting the HEMROID REMOVER OF DOOM as Big Time wonders how to make it work for him. Bouncer asks how and Big Time wants to do this scientifically. Apparently; Megabyte Beagle is unavailable for comment right now. Big Time wants a guinea pig to test on and there is Burger standing RIGHT TO THE LEFT OF HIM ready to get screwed. Burger smells the stuff and it's lemon flavored as Big Time takes Gyro's tiny manhood and zaps him as Burger gets the target shot (wiped from 4Kids dubs I should point out) and disappears. See Burger wants a food place while he doesn't have to wear a tie. Try East Side Mario's; the food is great most of the time. Big Time then goes to the back of Gyro's tiny manhood to find the location. And we logically head to the supermarket as various furries are shopping and the PA announcer (Joan Gerber) brings to attention that the bakery is featuring a special on fruitcakes.

We logically cut to the baker's shelves as two shoppers are looking for cakes, and out comes the ultimate fruitcake kneeling on the shelf seeing cakes. HAHA! It's like a kid in a candy store, a bull in a china shop (I always Fruedian slip that one), like Tommy Dreamer (now retired from wrestling after leaving the WWE last week) in a weapons match at the ECW arena. Burger tries to eat the cake as the shoppers flee; but he is back and the cake is gone. HAHA! That's good attention to detail there David. Big Time sums up why Burger didn't get the cake back of course as Bouncer gets the spray. Big Time uses the target shot again as we pan over and see the Money Bag as Big Time proclaims that Mr. Money Bags will have to change his name to Mr. Empty Bags. Cue evil laugh and we end the segment nine minutes in.

After the commercial break; we head to a haunted castle with bats and howling wolves AFTER HAPPY HOUR. And there is a blood moon rising. Geez; did I get the wrong episode or something? We then see a girl duck (Joan Gerber) in a pink dress being chased by a duck wolf. Okay; we zoom out as we see the nephews (without baseball caps on) eating popcorn from a shared bowl as they try to psyche out the other on being scared. And they are scared; while Scrooge is not as we are really in Scrooge's drawing room as Scrooge is at the desk writing. Scrooge is an adventurer because he has seen every kind of fictional creature you can imagine. Of course the new Disney sees Scrooge as a greedy old bastard and they run the place so Scrooge is out of luck on his character. If they want a greedy heel Scrooge; we will get a greedy heel Scrooge. And we have our commercial break as the announcer (Chuck McCann again) as Scrooge proclaims that no television program is going to show Scrooge McDuck anything new. And then Scrooge panics and the popcorn goes flying as we see Burger as a purple moth bug eating a big ass dollar bill behind a background as Big Time states that this could happen to their money. The funniest thing about it: No signs that give the Beagle Boys away! Why didn't they do this ALL OF THE TIME?! Oh wait; there's the criminal number plate; never mind.

And here comes Big Time in his greasy hair outfit from Super Ducktales #1 (thus showing how much of an airhead Scrooge McDuck was in that one) as he explains that money moths have been invading Duckburg at this very moment. Riiiigggghhhhhttttt. And they have Burger's case of the munchies too. Big Time shows the HEMROID SPRAY which is called Cash Guard (a pun on Right Guard body spray) and Burger growls on cue and tears a dollar bill. Spray a little Cash Guard on your cash and Burger Moth chokes and fake dies on cue. HAHA! I guess the lemon flavor made him a dead sour puss. AHHAHAHAHAHA! And he has his legs in the air and is dizzy as Scrooge proclaims that he needs that spray. And Big Time proclaims that yes; he needs that spray. It's lemon scented just out on the market and better than ever. Seriously; I think Big Time went to prison for fraud and bad business practices. I see he hasn't changed his ways as he looks like one of the seller of the male enhancement drug. Oh come on! You knew that joke was coming a mile away. Supplies are limited and it's 555-5555 which is really Doctor Herald's Sex Line from the Red Green Show. I see Kermit the Frog and Santa use it too. And it's in white computer numbers too on the bottom of the screen. They must be watching public access television at this point. Scrooge dials the number and asks if they deliver and the doorbell rings.

So we see Duckworth answering the front door and it's Big Greasy Time Beagle with the spray as Duckworth has an urgent delivery for Scrooge. Apparently; going door-to-door wasn't good enough for Big Time on this one. He then runs in (with no door mind you) into the drawing room and shakes hands for Scrooge and gives him the “final bottle” for just five dollars. Because Scrooge might be getting too many questions from his nephews if it was free. But Scrooge wants it for one buck so Big Time goes to four, three, two, and then one and he sells it for one dollar. Like it matters at this point. The fact that Big Time is fine with one dollar makes this look obvious. Big Time walks out and proclaims that there are money moths coming his way and he should spray the bin right away. Duckworth slams the door shut and wipes his hands clean of any responsibility for this matter. Scrooge tells Duckworth to bring the limo around and grabs his cane to walk out. The nephews huddle together near the television and they think Big Time was a fishy salesman. NO?! REALLY?! Huey calls out Big Time's Axe spray he put on his hair as Dewey asks why he didn't spray the dollar Scrooge gave him if it was the last can. Maybe because he likes to burn through money Dewey. Have you thought about that? Or maybe Cash Guard can protect against all moths and he sprayed his coat to protect himself and the pockets of money. I'm winging it of course; but at least it sounds plausible. The nephews turn off the television set as Monster Ducks is about to come back on. Notice how no ads were spoken during the time Big Time was in? That to me is very creepy as Dewey wants to go with Scrooge.

So we head to the vault of the Money Bin as the nephews watch on while Scrooge sprays the entire money supply with Cash Guard Hemiroid Remover of Doom~! I wonder if Money Moths can chomp on gold coins as Scrooge proclaims that a penny sprayed is a penny saved. We get more spraying and then we cut to a shot of the Money Bin and then zoom out. Then we head to the Abandoned Beagle Boys Building from Super Ducktales #1 as we head to the open window (the one not boarded up) as the Beagle Boys watch on from afar. Big Time proclaims that he should have been in there long enough to spray every dime he has. So here comes everything as Big Time shoots Gyro's tiny manhood laser towards the Money Bin as we see Scrooge inside the vault as he lies on the money proclaiming that his worries have disappeared while wiping his head with a golden dollar sign white cloth. And then the gold flashes and disappears as there is nothing to break Scrooge's fall and he free falls down to the bottom floor of his Money Bin. Strangely; he lands on the gold coins he didn't spray and it seems that the Money Bin level is back to normal.

The nephews climb down the ladder to console Scrooge. The nephews realize something is wrong; but Scrooge thinks he sprayed too late and the moths are too small to see. So he sprays some more around and around as the nephews try to tell him to wait; but no dice. The rest of the money disappears as everyone free falls to the ground with a wussy bump. Sigh. Huey grabs the spray and blows it off. There are still a few more gold coins left; so he sprays those and they disappeared as Huey gets Quackeroonie #1 for the episode 13 minutes in. Dewey realizes that this was like a smoking product and sprays Scrooge's hat and it disappears. Scrooge sits down and sulks in defeat and then the nephews realize that there is one way to find out where the money went and they spray themselves with the spray and disappear as Scrooge is SHOCKED and HORRIFED. So we get some zapping as we return to the Beagle Boys Abandoned Building of Doom. Big Time stops the zapping and then tries to set it to their hideout as he seems to have Baloo's troubles of spelling to boot. HAHA!

The Beagle Boys are clueless on that one as well as Big Time sets it just right and zaps the ground as the Beagle Boys are in the money, they are in the money, they're in the money and have what it takes to get it all. Big Time wonders how their friends would react to this and Bouncer responds that they would probably rob them blind. HAHA! That's why when you win the lottery; when they ask what you are going to do next the sane response is: Tell them it isn't me. They swim in the money as the gold coins are bursting the apartment building at the seams. Ma is going to be happy and they can even bail out the family out of jail for Christmas. Now THAT would be a reunion from hell to be sure. And then Scrooge's hat appears as Baggy notices it and Big Time realizes that he has just screwed himself because the nephews reappear with the spray. The nephews gasp in horror as the Beagle Boys stalk them (with Big Time on manhood duty) as Big Time proclaims that the little squirts are going to disappear permanently. That ends the segment 14 and a half minutes in.

After the commercial break; we go to a shot of the apartment as the gold continues to burst at the seams as we zoom in and then see the Beagle Boys cornering the nephews near the window. Big Time proclaims that they need to zap them before they call the police. The nephews dodge the first shot; but then they bounce down the golden hill and the spray can gets stuck in front of Big Time. The Beagle Boys stalk again as the nephews raise their arms into the sky;. But a Beagle Boy steps on the spray can and i9t creates a pink smoke cloud on them. HAHA! Big Time loses his vision and the nephews run out of the door stage left and then slide down the golden coin staircase. The smoke clears and Big Time realizes that they are screwed if they get away. So they follow down the golden coin staircase as the nephews exit the abandoned building. The Beagle Boys follow outside and are about to shoot the nephews to Aussie Land; however, the pink cloud coughs out of the window and Big Time has the target on the nephews; but doesn't see where he's going and goes down the manhole cover into the sewers. D'OH!

Big Time yells at Burger to get him out; while Bouncer and Baggy get to play with Gyro's tiny manhood on the nephews as they leave stage left. Burger of course dives in and gets stuck because Burger is just TOO FAT! HAHA! We get some Burger tummy action which sounds a lot more disturbing than it really is. Baggy asks how they use the manhood and Bouncer states it's just like Big Time did. Seems simple enough right?! Just shoot a bunch of buttons of course as the pink cloud zooms down to the ground as we cut to two roller skaters (one male, one female with red/pink tank tops, white shirt for the male, shorts, knee pads, roller boots and no elbow pads. One is dark skinned, the female one has a bandana and earrings. The male is voiced by Frank Welker) as the pink cloud blasts them as the male one states that it would be a cloudy day. The nephews excuse themselves as they go underneath their legs (EEEKKKK!) and then the roller skaters get zapped good. Baggy pushes and shoots on cue as we see the roller skates on top of the lamp poles skating on the high voltage wires. That is not a good sign for them as they hold each other in pain.

So we head to the zoo as the nephews run in and elephants trumpet some sounds. Baggy and Bouncer then stop and Baggy ponders wanting to follow them into a zoo with Bouncer. See the bars make him nervous. HAHA! I knew prison life would harm their self worth. I just needed the...well you know. We cut to a cage with the lion as the lion gets the pink cloud spray treatment as the nephews hide behind the white lion sign in front of the cage. We know this because there is a picture of a lion's head on the sign. Baggy and Bouncer have their tiny manhood set to profits as it's so harmful that the bear on the left side of the background is not animated at all. He shoots and he misses the nephews; but nails the lion. Baggy pushes on some buttons and the lion head to a beauty parlor as he is sitting in a hair dryer chair (a pink one) beside a dark skinned fat dogsperson wearing curlers in her hair, yellow shirt with flowers, blue skirt, white pumps reading a red book with a star on it . (Joan Gerber)

She blows off the lion's hair of course and then shrieks on cue as the lion bumps his head into the top of the hairdryer. So we head back to the zoo as an elephant has his trunk in the pink star wash basin and blows up water to bathe her little boy elephant sitting down. They get cloud sprayed of course as the nephews run north with the Baggy and Bouncer hiding behind the bushes of the tiger cage. He shoots again as the nephews dodge; but the elephant gets nailed (the adult one) and disappears. So we logically head to an elevator lobby as the two rich pigs from some Ducktales episode I have seen already; but won't refer to it; enter the elevator (the female one is Joan Gerber again – Geez; Mrs. Beakly isn't in this episode and yet Joan is getting most of the voice time.). They go up the fifth floor and the doors opens and the pigs gets all washed up in the kisser by the reappearing elephant. Okay; this is seriously overbooked now as the female pig with the stick glasses proclaims that it's the wrong floor. No crap on you , Sherlock!

So we head back to the zoo as we get more pink clouds dusting (this time a gorilla); more dodging from the nephews and more zapping animals from Baggy. And more pushing buttons too. So we head to a country road as we see two dogspeople in a purple car having some love. The female one has blond hair and a blue shirt; while the male looks like something out of Underdog only with a Hawaiian shirt and a regular hat. And the female girl in the car is voiced by...say it with me...Joan Gerber. Was Russi Taylor too stubborn today? They try to kiss each other in a way that is impossible to do at that distance and of course they kiss the reappearing gorilla. HEE HEE! The girl wonders if he's growing a mustache and as soon as she realizes that he isn't, they panic and run away in different direction complete with HB looping run effect. What? No HB running sound effect? That's pretty sloppy as we head outside the zoo as the nephews run away and down the road towards the main street and they run with the marathon runners in the annual Duckburg Marathon. No relation to the Ducktales marathon that I'm currently doing right now. And it is crowded as the nephews would say. We then cut to the finish line and to the announcer on a tower box who is a dog wearing a red baseball cap, blue shirt, blue pants, white Mickey Mouse gloves and has the MEGAPHONE OF JIMMY HARTS.

The Duckburg Marathon's Fleetest Feet are approaching the finish line. He also has his clipboard of doom as we cut to the runners on the street and there is Gyro in his marathon wearing outfit. Man; this dork thinks blue and banana yellow go together. The pig running behind him is a lot more classier. And the hat Gyro's wearing does him no favors either. Gyro gets cloud dusted as the nephews join him. Gyro greets them thinking that they are out for a jog and the nephews claim that they are not really. Baggy shoots and he hits Gyro and then Gyro suddenly reappears about five inches from the finish line and crosses it for the win. The announcer is in shock. He'll be in more shock when he finds out Gyro was unintentionally cheating to win. HAHA! Gyro soaks in the cheers as the announcer (Frank Welker) proclaims that he was so fast; he didn't see him until he crossed the finish line. Yeah; Gyro lied, and cheated and steal! The late Eddie would be proud of him too. The balloons fly on that one too.

So we head back to the man hole cover and Burger is STILL trying to get Big Time out; but Burger forgets that he's just TOO FAT! HEE HEE! The nephews jump over Buger's ass as Baggy and Bouncer chase them. And then stupidity clicks in as Burger FINALLY pops and gets Big Time out; and the Beagle Boys have a meeting of the minds. And it wasn't at the prison shower. Gyro's tiny manhood flies into the air and Dewey grabs it and gets off Quackeroonie #2 for the episode nearly 19 minutes in after six minutes of Quackeroonie free action. Big Time orders them to get the ray gun as the nephews stands their ground as Dewey cuts the lamest Clint Eastwood in history. You wish you were Flint Sherbwood Dewey. The Beagle Boys realize that they are screwed and they bail stage left as we get the SCOOBY DOO CHASE SEQUENCE THE MANHOOD EDITION~! A rare sight when the babyfaces are chasing the heel with a gun; even if it's not a killing gun. More so when it's kids.

We then see a dog wheeling some coats on a hanger (which gets cloud dusted) as the nephews clearly see three boots of the Beagle Boys (Big Time is likely on top of one of them again) and they are not fooled as Dewey shoots the ray gun and the coat rack disappears and we see the Beagle Boys so BUSTED! They chase the Beagle Boys again as the boys go into a ladies dress shop as the pink cloud dust goes in with them on the folding doors. The nephews run away from the store; and then they back up and mock the little jailbird suit in the window. We then see the Beagle Boys doing poses right in front of the dummy models in the store as the pink cloud dust finally consumes them. I believe their hope chest is gone now. Dewey blows them off and zaps them for good and then sets the device to jail. So we head to the prison courtyard (from Top Gun) as the Beagle Boys reappear in the prison cell just as Officer Parolski arrives to see them. He calls it a welcome home party as the Beagle Boys get the dummies to symbolize their dumbness. HAHA! Big Time groans as a dummy would say: You got served. HAHA!

So we head to the sidewalk as the nephews are running and proclaim that they zapped all the animals back to the zoo. They go back into the abandoned building and into the main room as they are going to send Scrooge's money back to him special delivery. He will be shocked as they say as Dewey cuts a one for the money promo and zaps the gold coins (remember that they are still sprayed with the spray earlier?). Then they zap each other using the boarded up window (I didn't know wood could deflect lasers?) and Dewey sets the coordinates for Scrooge's Money Bin. So we head to the bottom of the Money Bin as we see Scrooge sitting down with the newspaper sulking as he has to find a job now. HAHA! If Gladstone were here; he would be laughing his ass off right now. He wonders if anyone needs someone to swim in their money (EWWWWWW!) and then the gold piles up from the bottom and goes right back to the top of the ledge as it was before. And there are the nephews sitting down proclaiming that he does. Now this should be the ending to the episode in any other universe; but there is a minute or so left; so I fear for the worse.

Scrooge is shocked and then he swims into the money like a senile old man. Scrooge hugs the nephews and proclaims that they are the best friends he could ever have. And in comes Gyro Gearloose as he has his big ass trophy he won from the marathon (Gyro stole the race, the trophy and the Kurt Angle picture! I had to get that one in.) and he wonders how Dewey has his Furniture Mover Ray. UH OH! I think Gyro is going to get a long overdue talk from Scroogie after this one. Dewey blows him off and explains what happened as Gyro gets his tiny manhood back as he is going to invent a Furniture Floatation Ray which is easier to clean his house. Scrooge then looks horrified as we go to the dream sequence as we see the Money Bin and money bags floating away from it as Scrooge chases the Money Bags and the citizens get it as they are rich and a dogsperson in a suit blows him off (Hal Smith) as the dream ends right there..and I betcha Scrooge chases Gyro out of the Money Bin because he wants to MURDER his tiny manhood floatation laser (and yes I'm done with the dick jokes here)..I check the DVD...Damn; I'm good. On second though; this is the best ending EVERAH! The nephews watch Scrooge chase Gyro all over the money bin as Huey gleefully sums up the whole thing. Louie proclaims that he might not catch him for hours. Scrooge tells him to shut down his brain for the rest of the year which seems less impossible now. The nephews giggle as the chase continues to end the episode at 21:15. Good last hurrah for Gyro as it ends in a fitting way; dork gets chased by angry mob for making a bad customer reception. Too bad the overbooking and logic breaks didn't make this one better. **** (80%).

Well; this vanishing money trick turned out to be better than the first episode of Cash As Catch Can #1 which seems to have logic breaks out of the wazoo and a hurried up finish. This one was overbooked; but at least they stopped it when Dewey got the laser and then there was no looking back. There were a few logic breaks and a few TMS mistakes; but it's was all right. And Gyro was a hoot at the end as he now wishes he never made a laser gun in his life. I thought we were in for a CDS ending; but it turned out the dream sequence in the end made it a very unique ending and make me like to see Scrooge MURDER Gyro's ass after screwing with his money again. The nephews really did a great job here as a collective and Dewey really showed his stuff here the most which is nice to see. And Burger was always a hoot as usual. Thankfully; the Beagle Boys have one more episode to go which is Hero For Hire; but first we move onto a really low point of the season with Dinosaur Ducks; if only because somehow it manifested into what would become Bubba and Tootsie later on. So.....

Thumbs up for this episode and I'll see you next time.
