The Avalon World Tour Part 1: The Canadian Raven Inspires...
Welcome aboard on the rant ship "S.S. Avalon" as we begin part one of the "Avalon World Tour" officially. YAY! So our very first trip is to head to an island in Western Canada to tackle a bird like gargoyle called Raven. No relation to ECW's Raven though. How will this story unfold? Let's rant on shall we...?!
This episode is written by Adam Gilad and story was edited by the late Gary Sperling. Animation is done by Sun Min Animation Productions.
Opening Moment #1: Very random recap this time around as it mostly centers around Avalon's rules of transportation and about having a full life. I think some of the footage is from Reawakening which is silly because Coldstone is not involved in this episode at all. There is footage from Shadows of the Past too. I thought this would be one of the few season two episodes to not have a recap; but I was wrong. As usual.
We begin this one on the foggy seas as we pan west to the incoming boat with the Avalon Tour babyfaces as Eliza proclaims that when she gets back to Manhattan; she's buying a hotdog from the street corner. Bronx is all giddy about something and Eliza then pets him and states that it will be two, two hotdogs. UH! UH! UH! Actually; that joke would have worked in the last episode since there was a lot of thunder and lightning around. Then we have lots of fog as an island appears in the background with probably the worst drawing of trees possible. Unless a serious forest fire ravaged this island; when it comes to artwork, this episode is really going to suffer. Then some shark like fin appears out of nowhere and Angela notices it right away. The boat gets capsized as everyone except Goliath bumps into the water. Goliath bumps onto the head of a sea monster. The sea monster rises up and Eliza cannot swim in the current ocean as Angela goes over to the sea monster of doom and scratches it in the typical show red marks; but no actual blood flow. It's usually a concession for not showing blood because of some moral guardians who have "sex on the brain" and don't realize how stupid they sound and need help for their dirty minds; but no audience is buying that red scratches don't cause blood flow. If you don't break the skin and there's no blood; then they have to be white marks. Idiots! Apparently; this sea monster has a water spray attack because Angela goes flying after water is sprayed in her face. Bronx bites on the long end of the serpent's body and the monster screams...badly. Imagine a Mighty Hercules fight with toned down noises (because monster screams in Mighty Hercules are instant nightmare fuel) and a lot better animation; and you got this fight. Goliath pulls on the head; but gets thrown into the water. Bronx lets go and dives in as we fight underwater with Goliath getting behind and trying to break the monster's jaw; but no dice. However; that is still enough for them to go topside and the sea monster swims away stage left because he has had enough. Angela proclaims that they defeated the monster; but Goliath looks around and realizes that there is no Eliza.
Goliath yells for Eliza as we get a sky shot of the gargoyles while a black raven appears out of nowhere and circles the babyfaces in the sky before leaving. I have a bad feeling that we are going to be meeting this raven bird later on. We head to the island as I realize that indeed; a forest fire ravaged the island at some point as there are literally no living trees present. I should point out that the boat suffered some damage during the last scene and thankfully; it's shown here. The boat is on it's side; snugged onto the shoreline. We take a look around as the raven is flying around and we see totem poles which looks very familiar to me. They look similar to the ones from the Haida tribe which means that they are on Queen Florence Island in B.C. The gargoyle babyface all get out of the water and cough as they notice the totem pole and Angela thinks they are gargoyle carvings. Before anyone else can get a word in; the raven sits on the totem pole and stares at them just after the sun rises and the gargoyles turn to stone to sleep the stone sleep. So we cut to a small shanty town like village on the shoreline as several young adults are on the motorboat waving goodbye to an old woman with white hair wearing a light blue coat and a brown skirt carrying something green in her arms as the kids on the boat tell her that they cannot stay here because they finally found work in the mainland. They wave goodbye to Nick who is wearing a green shirt underneath his fur coat and has black hair; who is carrying boxes. He no sells them as the motorboat leaves as we discover that Queen Florence Island biosphere is dying and dying fast. So the grandmother turns around and addresses Nick as Natsilane which according to one Gargoyles Wikia: The name "Natsilane" is derived from a culture hero of Native American mythology, specifically that of the Tlingit people of Western Canada. The Tlingit and Haida are aware of each other, although the Tlingit live on the mainland and the Haida live on islands out to sea. Natsilane was most famous for having created the first Killer Whale out of a block of wood. That actually sounds compelling over what the storyline is going to be.
Anyhow; we discover that Nick is the chief of this island and the only one who can restore Queen Florence Island to it's former glory. Nick claims that he has run every test to see what is wrong because apparently; Nick is a science and Grandmother claims that science is not the answer as she puts the green cloth down onto the dock and states that the only way to save the island is to go to some volcano on the island and defeat Raven. Um; madam? Raven is in ECW in Philly. He is a LONG way away from this island to be causing any trouble. You must be confusing him with some villain from Captain Planet. As for the voices; Grandmother is voiced by Amentha Dymally who started her career doing cameos of Run For Your Life and The Girl From UNCLE in 1966. She did mostly bit roles and mother roles from there until 1979. She then disappeared until 1990 with 227 as a shopkeeper. Gargoyles is her DTVA debut and only appearance. A-GuruPhobia as June is her most recent credit. She has 24 acting credits to her resume. She also wrote The Prince movie and was a voice for Cleopatra Jones in 1973. Natsilane is voiced by Gregg Rainwater and he started his career as Running Buck Cross in The Young Riders in 1989. He appeared on Walker, Texas Ranger and The Street Fighter movie as T. Hawk. Other non-Disney appearances: Promised Land (Arthur Yazzi), Ocean Tribe (Noah), How Does Anyone Get Old? (Gene), Foreign Correspondents (Marcel), Max Steel (Jake Nez), Justice League (Long Shadow/Mike) and Pocahontas 2: Journey To A New World (additional voices). He was art director for America's Got Talent, Downfall and Osbournes Reloaded. Gargoyles is his DTVA debut and also appeared in Pepper Ann as Andy and Bob. Young Justice as Tye Longshadow is his most recent credit. That's it. 13 acting credits, four art department credits. She unfolds the green cover to show a really cool rug which apparently has a plus in the middle as we discover that this has been done twice before hence. So Nick no sells because he went to Havard and wasn't fighting evil spirits because he doesn't believe that they exist.
Then Nick notices someone washed up on the shoreline and it's Eliza who is out cold. Nick goes over to check on her and her pulse. Nick states that she's alive (DUH!) and needs to carry her into the small wooden shack in the background which has satellite television. Wonder how much begging Nick had to do to convince Grandmother to install that. So we head back to the totem pole as the sun begins to set and the animators are way off as the gargoyles live again long before it's fully night. So then some voice calls them and they look up to see a raven like gargoyle beast with a native like belt; with the front containing a square cloth to cover the naughty parts; which I bet will not be animated in any way. So the babyfaces are shocked as the guy's name is Raven and he was watching them fight the sea monster earlier. Goliath asks about his human friend Eliza and Raven blows off all humans because all of them were destroyed during stone sleep. Of course; that is an obvious lie because we clearly saw Raven perched on the totem pole and he never turned to stone. However; it's not a logic break since the babyfaces wouldn't be able to tell since they were in stone sleep before they would have noticed Raven not turning to stone anyway. Apparently; Raven's allies are few; but still alive and offers them to come with him. Goliath asks about Eliza and Raven decides to spare Eliza and help in the search. We also hear from Raven that Grandmother is an evil magic user who summoned the sea monster earlier. Which might actually be true considering what is going to happen in this episode. So they all climb the totem pole as Angela comments about this place being full of surprises before flying into the sky. I love real comments that aren't supposed to be real comments.
Raven is voiced by Lawrence Bayne and according to Wikipedia (DANGER! DANGER!): Lawrence Bayne is a Canadian actor, born November 11, 1960 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He has appeared in various movies and television series, both live action and animated, and also sings/writes with his band Simple Damned Device. Among his live action characters, he is perhaps best known as Victor Pearson, the apparently nefarious scientist-next-door in the NBC/Discovery Kids television series Strange Days at Blake Holsey High, also known as Black Hole High. Victor was the father of the Science Club's Vaughn Pearson, and generally functioned as the series' antagonist. Victor used a frictionless Chi ball he stole from the show's protagonist, Josie Trent, as a power source for his mysterious experiments at Pearadyne Labs. Lawrence started his career appearing in a Pink Floyd video (Learning to Fly) which was their first video to be aired and won multiple awards around the world. It has been released on the "Pulse" dvd. Lawrence was a last minute replacement for August Schellenberg on a LIVE radio drama (Booster McCrane) recommended by August himself, knowing Lawrence was capable of an uncanny impersonation. He began his acting career in 1989 on Katts & Dog, The Hitchhiker (Teddy/Tom), and A Whisper To A Scream (Olwyn Peters). Gargoyles is his DTVA debut and his only appearance. Empire of Dirt (Hank), Hard Rock Musical (Molimo), and Nikita as Federale is his most recent credits. There are 94 acting credits to his resume.
So we head back to the wooden shack (with satellite TV!) as we head inside seeing Eliza on the eastern bed being covered in green covers and a green pillow as there is a bed with red covers and a pillow. There are a lot of relics and ancient pots on a wooden shelf above Eliza as Nick goes over to Eliza and checks her as she is tossing and turning in bed. Nick claims that she is burning up and proclaims that she needs to go to a hospital right now! Grandmother sits down and starts taking out the out of nowhere bowl, pastel and a parsnip. Yeah; she is an old school mage as Nick blows her off for that which is countered with Grandmother blowing him off for continuing to underestimate the power of the ancients. Nick just walks out stating that he is going to radio in for a chopper as Eliza toss and turns calling for Goliath and that ends the segment eight minutes in. Well; this has been a fun episode thus far; although some scientists will not be pleased with Grandmother being a quack. To be fair though; this is fiction and considering that magic is involved in this whole thing; you kind of expect this to be booked in this form.
After the commercial break; we get a sky shot of the island AFTER HAPPY HOUR (after dark) as we see Raven, Angela and Goliath (holding Bronx) flying towards the volcano and then they fly over the hot lava like surface of the volcano and then land in a really safe shot on the far east side of the volcano which contains a raven like totem pole. He's a real thumb up for the animators: The coloring effects are awesome during the flying sequence here and feel like I'm watching a TaleSpin episode. Raven lands and proclaims that his home is their home as well. Raven and Goliath have a semi-bonding moment and then three Mutate like beasts slowly come out of the cave and Goliath greets them; only for them to back away. Goliath is surprised by this as Raven explains that they are crippled with grief after being mighty warriors. Goliath proclaims that they are gargoyles and yet they are still alive. All of them look like gargoyles fused with animals which looks downright a plot by Doctor Sevarius. Anyhow; we return to the shanty town as the building has somehow moved directly into the back of the village after being near the shoreline earlier. These animators have no idea where everything is and it makes me look amazed that Cape Suzette turned out the way it did. Maybe having four of everything really did help the quality after all. So we see animated smoke at the building of the satellite television dish and then we head inside and all the smoke is nowhere to be found as Grandmother pours the green substance into a clay pot and then goes over to Eliza (who is very close to being naked) and rubs the substance with her fingers on the top of the necklace of Eliza. Eliza stops wheezing and calms down as she wakes up asking where she is and who _she_ is. Grandmother addresses herself as the Haida would call her and they are on Queen Florence Island on the shore of western Canada. Eliza wants to find her friends; but Grandmother pats her head and Eliza must rest and go to sleep for a while. Nick returns and notices the fever is broken while informing us that the helicopter cannot land on the island because of turbulence. Whatever sir.
Nick checks her over as he laughs off the prospect that she used tree bark to reduce the fever. No she didn't Nick; she used a freaking parsnip. If you are going to call someone out for performing woo; it is to your edge to make sure you have the correct type of quackery involved. I'm just saying sir. Grandmother can only say and roots and Nick does the Arthur face for me. HAHA! I think we found another application for Grubby's root stew. So we head back to the top part of the volcano as Raven offers to do the search with his train because they can stay away from humans. Angela asks why they hate humans but not harm them. Goliath explains that protecting humans is their heritage and then he goes over to Bronx and orders him to find Eliza. Bronx is giddy and he rushes out of the volcano with Goliath and Angela following him. We then see Raven make it to the tip of the volcano; but the other gargoyle beasts stop in their tracks and disappear. Hmmmm; didn't that happen to the image of Demona, Desdemona and Othello earlier. This is interesting. So we head into the dead forest as Bronx is sniffing around and he hops to the shore line as Angela and Goliath are flying topside as Angela is still confused about human nature. Goliath explains about fear and hate being intertwine as they make it to the shoreline and they find Eliza's badge and wallet. Goliath proclaims that they must not lose hope. So we return to the shanty town as Eliza is selling weakness; but is able to walk on her own outside as Nick comes in and tells her to stay because she is in no condition; but Eliza doesn't care because she must find the gargoyles. Grandmother comes out and states that there are no gargoyles on the island; but she does know them. Huh. Nick blows it all off as make believe as Eliza proclaims that this is what she used to say and then walks off. Grandmother tells Nick to open his eyes and heart before it's too late; but Nick blows her off and walks off stage left. So we have Eliza walking through the forest as she calls this not Central Park as we see that Raven is spying on her in his raven form as his eyes go into white eyes mode and flies towards a stray grizzly bear.
Raven caws at the bear and that is enough to make it run towards Eliza. Eliza panics and tries to run stage left; but she trips and falls on her face. The bear was digging at something before it turned and run; and then Bronx rushes in for the save as the bear gets tackled in the bushes and we fight off-screen with the bushes. This IS a tribute to The Mighty Hercules which actually makes sense since the show was made in Canada. The bear runs away stage right as Eliza notices Bronx coming out of the bushes and they have a bonding moment. Awww! Angela and Goliath join in as Goliath explains that they were with Raven and the totem poles represent their murdered clan. Eliza calls this strange because Grandmother claimed that there are no gargoyles on the island which Goliath calls her out as a wicked mage. Eliza cannot believe this and claims that she is a nice old lady. Can you smell the projection out of Goliath and Angela; or do I have to spell it out for ye? Angela also points out that she created the sea monster which might be true actually. So they decide to walk in the forest towards the village; even though it appears they are walking towards the volcano. Then we see Grandmother in the middle of nowhere sitting crosslegged on the ground. Eliza claims that this proves Grandmother is not evil. Ummm; when someone is in the middle of nowhere acting all calm; it usually means someone has really evil intentions Eliza. Smoke comes out of her as Bronx growls and she stands up and transforms into the Thunder Bird complete with totem pole like designs on the chest. And it looks like an evil monster on her chest as everyone is shocked and that ends the segment 14 minutes in. Now THIS is the whackiness that this series needs after some really tiresome drama in the series.
After the commercial break; we see Thunderbird Grandmother fly into the sky as Eliza is horrified by this. Goliath calls it more magic as apparently it is headed to the village; but it appears she's flying towards the volcano. Geez; do the animators have someone in continuity or something. It's ruining an otherwise very good episode as Goliath and Angela run in and jump off of a log and into the skies. Eliza yells out to Goliath not to go after; but it's already way too late for him to listen. So we get the fight in the skies as Goliath has now stooped to the low of punching a 95 year old senior citizen (which is kind of silly since Macbeth is at least 1050 years old). GTB screams as Angela gets on her back as I discover that the face of the monster on the GTB's chest is alive and uses it's big tongue to lash onto Angela's ankle and throws her away. THAT WAS WEAK! THAT WAS WEAK! So Eliza is yelling for Grandmother to stop; but no dice as Goliath gets bashed by the wings in response; and then he goes over the GTB and scratches the underbelly of the bird which does the red marks that should bleed; but don't spot again. Raven arrives with his clan and it's clear that they are illusions because the wings of the Thunderbird go right through the rest of the clan without any trouble. Raven wants revenge now; but Angela claims that they haven't found their friend yet and they must continue the search. Huh? Raven wants to join in; but Angela no sells because the volcano has been left unprotected. Raven recoils and realizes that she has a point and leaves with his clan. Goliath asks why Angela lied to them as they land in the forest. Angela claims that the gargoyles are not what they seem as we head to a foggy area of the dead forest as Grandmother is back in her human form resting against a tree; which Eliza and Bronx find her right away. Eliza demand to know why she attacked her friends which is really stupid because she clearly was trying to get away and it was Goliath who attacked her first!
Grandmother claims that she wasn't trying to attack them; but trying to convince Nick that she was right all along about legends and myth as Goliath and Angela walk in from the shadows demanding answers. Grandmother admits that she created the Thunderbird and the sea monster and caused them to attack the babyfaces; not because she hates gargoyles; but because she wanted to prove to Nick that this world is not like the real world where her stuff is quackery; or something along those lines. And then Raven speaks up in his gargoyle form and then he suddenly turns into...a human?! So Raven appears with black hair and what appears to be a Asian outfit with black boots. He admits that he has been causing havoc on the island and that his cousin Grandmother was trying to convince Natsilane (Nick in case you didn't notice by now) to believe the myths and get with the program. So these two magic warriors are related? Raven calls this not a bad idea; since the gargoyles have come along, it made things easier for him because he hates messy battles. Whatever makes you happy Raven. Eliza asks why didn't she just show the Thunderbird in front of Nick and we discover that Raven and Grandmother are in fact children of Oberon and therefore are forbidden to act directly in human affairs. UH OH! I would not want to be Puck right about now. Goliath gets all pissy and shouts that he'll battle Raven and Raven tells Goliath that he knows the address and turns into a raven and flies towards the volcano. For a guy who is supposed to be a child of Oberon; he sure talks like a 1980's kid. Goliath is about to leave; but Eliza stops him because she has a better idea as we head back to the shanty town as Nick comes out with boxes and Eliza appears from the back. Nick is happy to see her as Eliza decides to introduce her friends and tells him to meet the gargoyles as Angela, Bronx and Goliath appear before him and he drops the box. Ummm; yeah.
So Eliza offers the stylized Haida stick and shield and wants him to fight Raven which Nick stammers like an idiot before no selling the whole deal as Goliath just blows him off as useless and leaves. Angela sticks the stick into the ground and puts the shield on it before leaving as well as Nick tries to point out that he is not a chief; he is a scientist and therefore doing this would be completely against his beliefs. Yeah; in this show, science is a belief system which is total BS. See; the moral of the story is basically that magic always trumps science which is the most idiotic moral I have ever heard because magic doesn't exist in the real world and this is supposed to be based on the real world. If they had done this in TaleSpin's world; it would be believable in the context of that world because that world doesn't pretend to be the real world anyway. Here; the whole magic trumps science bit is just plain stupid and Eliza's contrived line of ordering Nick to find some new beliefs; or some old ones is BS as well. Eliza's "There are more things in heaven and earth..." line from Hamlet is really touching; but no more than that. Nick looks as confused as I am as we head back to the volcano as Goliath and Angela drop down to the volcano's surface and Goliath calls out Raven. Raven comes in and circles around Goliath claiming that he has no fight with him. And then we get probably the most insulting logic break in the series: Nick appears proclaiming that he must battle Raven; or die trying. That line is fine and we see Nick on the edge of the volcano with the stick and shield. That's fine. The problem is and thanks to Gargoyles Wikia; I discover that what he is wearing is not the traditional Haida clothing; but the stereotypical "Plains" native American clothing. WHAT THE HELL WERE THE ANIMATORS THINKING?! This is similar to what happened in Dances With Bigfoot when they pulled off that stereotype/not stereotype crap on us. DAMMIT! This episode was really fun too as Raven calls this merit badge test night which sounds awfully lame. Raven is no Puck; that much I am certain.
So he goes over to the totem pole and casts magic on it as he has no idea how to sound epic or memorable; and his chant ends up being goofy as he blows the sparkle dust onto the totem pole and the wooden totem pole separates and create three wooden gargoyle beasts; who are the exact same designs as they were in the illusions Raven used earlier; only a lot more wooden. Hey; points for continuity on that front I guess. Raven transforms into his gargoyle form and he has brought an oversized native American hatchet for fun as the wooden gargoyles get to play with the gargoyles while he tends to business. So Raven flies up towards Nick as the wooden heels tackle down Angela and Goliath for fun. So the bear gargoyle is tending to Goliath as Raven lands in front of Nick and proclaims that this didn't come up in school studies as he whacks the hatchet on the shield and it deflects off magically. So Raven uses the stick and trips Nick up as he lands on his ass. Nick blows another shot from the blade of the hatchet as Raven calls him a boy and proclaims that this is his island. Nick stands his ground and whacks Raven good with the shield as Raven recoils; and then gets hit with the magical laser beam of doom from the staff as Nick asks who is running scared now. Ummm; no one was scared of Raven nor Nick; so that line is awfully lame. Man; this episode is just falling apart. So we get more shots of Goliath getting his ass kicked as Angela tries to run in; but gets tackled back by the eagle gargoyle statue. The bear statue which is wearing blue underwear that is so obvious that BS&P should be ashamed of itself. Isn't it amazing how things change at a time when bears like Kit Cloudkicker (who is only 12 mind you) didn't wear any pants?! This is so Feats of Clay BS&P'ing that it isn't funny. So Goliath is out as Bear Wood comes in and Goliath wakes up and grabs him by the snout and throws him into the volcano wall and that is enough to shatter the bear to pieces. Which is funny because you would think the intense heat of the volcano would burn the statues to ashes already. Sorry that I missed it earlier; but it's not really a logic break, I just find it odd.
Angela is flying and Eagle Wood is so damn stupid that Angela flies up and EW crashes into the wall and shatters into pieces. Angela flies over as Goliath calls for her to watch out as the Wolf Wood is behind him; but Bronx jumps from the edge of the volcano and tackles down the WW and it crashes into the ground and shatters into pieces. Angela thanks Bronx as we see Nick on the edge of the volcano blasting Raven onto his knees and he changes back to his human form and is defeated. Nick proclaims that this land is of the people and not Raven's as Raven blows him off because his people have fled. Grandmother comes out of nowhere stating that they will return when the land is restored to it's former glory and wants Raven to admit that he lost. Raven teases bowing to her; but then blows her off because the island no longer amuses him and he turns into Raven and flies away off the island; probably to return to Oberon to lie to him that Grandmother has violated his rule. Nick asks if he is gone which is a stupid question because Raven is clearly not dead; and Grandmother states that it is not. Goliath states that Nick has his home; and they must find theirs. Eliza praises Nick as she notices that Grandmother is gone for some reason; and then we see her on the floor of the volcano as the volcano has been cooled off completely. I think the original plan was to have the volcano tease being erupted due to Raven's magic; but BS&P stepped in. Which is dumb because that would have made the battle much more epic and interesting. This felt like a fun Spiderman 1995 episode in terms of a finish: Fine but rushed and unfinished in terms of polish. Anyhow; the ending is Grandmother glows blue with sparkles and her hair turns into water and it flows throughout the volcano as the entire island turns back to green in a really cool sequence that was surprisely well animated for the most part. The golden wave of death wasn't as well animated as this; and then we see the closing shot of Grandmother waving as the water flows from her hair and the place is all green and lush inside. That was awesome and a great payoff to the episode. Of course this begs the question of why Grandmother didn't just battle Raven herself? It's not like she was interfering in human affairs doing that and she clearly had power to battle Raven. This question cannot be answered; do not think too much. I guess she hates losing. Personally; that closing shot of Grandmother should have been the end; but we get one more shot of the ocean as Goliath is rowing away from the island and that ends the episode at 21:20 approx. I guess someone wasn't happy with the ending shot of Shadows of The Past with it ending with them turning to stone instead of going to the boat and sailing off. Oh well; this episode was fun, but the finish was lame and Raven was really lame. Puck he is not. But that logic break at the finish with Nick; oh lord that was bad. *** 3/4 (75%).
THE REVIEW LINE
Well; I was looking forward to this episode seeing that it took place in Canada; and it was a really fun episode for the most part, with a really crappy finish and some really insulting logic breaks (I mean; Nick wearing plains Indian clothing; what the hell is up with that?) during said finish. Raven in serious mode was actually good for the most part; but when he turned human, my god, he was lame. He sounded like BS&P just stepped in and wanted to turn him into a comedy character; but completely forgot what made Puck so charming and memorable. There was some good spots with the wooden totem gargoyles (although the BS&P underwear reared it's ugly head again) and the animation for the most part was very good even though they had no idea of placing the shanty town village. Nick was just there and I do feel sorry for him because he had to go against science just to make the storyline work out the way it did because this would never work in the real world. Grandmother was great as the thunder bird and at the end when the water was literally flowing from her hair and I couldn't resist screaming "HOMEPATHY LIVES~!" when that magical water came out and restored the island to green lush. Still; the logic break with the clothes and the obvious problem of GM not fighting Raven herself was in evidence; but the episode overall was still fun and it was Canadiancana done better than usual (Fairly Oddparents I'm looking at you!). It wasn't flawless; but it wasn't unbearable and insulting; pardon the pun. So now we are going to take a break from the Avalon World Tour and see what is happening with Brooklyn and company back in Manhattan as Talon is having problems with his clan in Kingdom which is the last episode to rant on for Gargoyles in 2013. After this; I'm taking a weekend off to do prep work, game lists and a response to Kevin Johnson's review of TaleSpin. If I manage to get this done before Thanksgiving weekend (gamelists might be done; and maybe prep work afterwards on some of the Kick Buttowski work); then I might do Fish Lips Sink Ships. I have already done the Wii U gamelist as I am typing this by the way so there you go. So....
Thumbs in the middle pointing up for this episode and I'll see you all next time.
