Gravity Falls: Irrational Treasure

Reviewed: 10/15/2017

That Explains A Lot Of Treasures Actually!

So we go through a holiday for this show when Dipper and Mabel discover evidence that the reported town founder is a hoax, they set out to expose the historical cover-up and prove that Mabel's silliness is not a bad thing. Yeah; because we cannot let those haters get their way now, can't we? So how this episode fare? Let's rant on shall we...?!

Irrational Treasure is written by Tim McKeon and Old Man McGucket. Storyboards were done by Chris Sonnenberg and Niki Yang; while direction is done by Joe Aoshima. Animation is done by Digital Emation Inc.

Episode opened with a shot of a road in Gravity Falls as there is a traffic jam. Jump cut to Stan, Mabel and Dipper in a car as Stan is honking on a car horn. Mabel and Dipper are munching on corn chips; as Mabel uses them as earrings, and calling it hilarious. No, not really. Stan calls that debatable as he continue to complain and honk against the traffic jam. Then out of nowhere we see a parade of horse and wagons. This triggers Stan so much that he drives out of the way and panics; almost running over a bunch of woman carrying baskets of apples. He backs up; they get pissed off as we cut back to Dipper wanting answers to this outrage as Stan wants to leave before it's too late. But then gets cut off by the wagons circling them and Stan screams loudly in panic. That was pretty tone deaf on everyone's part; and that scream is even making me tone deaf. Mabel sees a cowbell wearing cow and likes this feeling for today. Yeah; I'll bet. WE HIT THE OPENING~! So, as I discover, it's pioneer days in Gravity Falls as Mabel and Dipper jump out of the car, leaving Stan hanging. Mabel's sweater the day featuring a dog slam dunking a basketball. They look at the town in awe as Dipper shows off a postcard and outside of the dirty glass, stage and pump tents, it's actually truth in advertising. This episode is going to be similar to Launchpad's Civil War; except no Confederates are allowed (for obvious reasons) and there will be no guns (for obvious reasons). Stan is not amused by this pioneer day stuff and calls them stupid yahoos. In comes Toby Determined in blue overalls, a white shirt and brown hat delivering newspapers claiming it's 1863. So, Gravity Falls is celebrating it's 149th birthday? How oddly fitting. Stan threatens to break the little man, and I guessing that this is a running gag that will setup Stan to be out of comission. Not that I mind such a thing. So Toby bails, bonks into a barrel of laughs (how fitting?) and bails again in panic. Mabel is giddy over a demonstration of candle dipping. HAHA! Only Mabel could make candle dipping sound like the best thing ever. Of course; How It's Made has that effect on me, too; so Mabel must be watching that show. Old Man McGucket gets his contracted appearance and we have a marriage between a robin and a woodpecker. Because triggering moral guardians is the responsible thing to do, am I right?

Mabel is not amused as Dipper brings out Book #3 complete with eye glass piece; as Dipper claims that it was legal to marry woodpeckers in Gravity Falls. Oh; so the marriage is one of those stage plays. Pfft; makes too much sense to me. The groom claims that it's still legal, very legal. I think the Feds might have something to say about this; along with wildlife management. Then an announcer proclaims that the beginning of the event is about to start; but Stan wants no part of it. And he proclaims that if they start talking like them, they are dead to him. I think Dipper has already thought of Stan as dead to him; so the feeling is there. Mabel and Dipper then proceed to talk like those old farts; just to piss off Stan. HAHA! See; they know Stan is a scumbag; so them being dead to them is a blessing instead of a curse. Stan; it's time to punt. They spit and bail stage left; as Stan pumps his fist in outrage and calls them dead to him. So we head to the stage with Shrieff Blubs, Pacifica Northwest and her parents in their silly pioneer gear, as Pacifica is clearly the princess of this outfit. The event is about to commence, so Deputy Durland comes in with a stupid raccoon cap ringing a dinner bell. Pfft; whatever. Someone pick pockets old Granny, and of course Durland stands there dancing and ringing the bell. Because doing nothing to stop the thief and ringing a bell is funny. Blubs claims that Durland loves his bell; and this proves that even in Gravity Falls, DTVA authority figures suck big time. Speaking of Pacifica; she's now wearing a raccoon hat and a SWANK aqua blue pioneer dress, fur boots, and upside down purple spade earrings; and she's testing the microphone. She addresses the crowd as her mother has the most fakiest smile ever. Her name is Priscilla Northwest and she's voiced by the same person who voiced Denise and Shellsea. She steps on a coveniently placed stone in the same position as the statue in the background with the man carrying a flag and a telescope. His name is Nathaniel Northwest and she's the great-great-granddaughter of this town founder. She's also very rich as her family claps in the most wooden manner possible. They look and act like robots basically. Pacifica asks anyone in the audience to introduce themselves and Mabel loves this. Dipper questions this because Mabel is silly, you see. And Pacifica is supposed to be the heel as Mabel calls it water under the bridge. Sadly; Pacifica wants to kill the bridge with fire! POW! OUCH! Ummm...

Mabel runs on stage just as Pacifica is introducing someone and she turns around and she's not happy about this at all. HAHA! Mabel wants to get this pioneer day started; which I question because I think it has been going on for the last five minutes or so. She makes raspberry sounds and that was funny; mostly due to how she holds her cheeks. She also chants "USA!" just to piss off the Canadians in the crowd. Hint: There are none. Everyone pops for her and chants in unison, including a redneck with long hair wearing the worst American Flag ever on his shirt, which is cheese yellow and hat; having a tear in his eye. Geez; this is pathetic as Pacifica blows Mabel off because this is SERIOUS BABEE~! Pacifica, you are wearing a raccoon hat. I cannot take anything you say seriously. That hat sucks! Mabel protests this and shows her serious face...which is sillier than her normal face. Pacifica points out the nacho earrings. Pacifica, you are wearing upside down purple spade earrings. I cannot take anything you say seriously. Those earrings suck! Pacifica is embarrassed for her (no, she's not) and everyone pops for Mabel anyway despite Dipper looking like he wants to be somewhere else. Mabel's mouth wobbles and she walks off stage as Pacifica asks if they want to hear more about her. I was hoping that they would stop clapping, she gives eye contact violence ala Hoppo and they cheer for her. That would at least give us a storyline that Pacifica commands respect in Gravity Falls. They just clap on anyway. Toby comes in taking a picture of the Northwest Family and their dog; while Dipper goes after Mabel. Picture is taken and Pacifica calls her family perfect. More like perfect wooden characters with no personality. Mabel just wants some butterscotch fudge and even Dipper wants to get out of there. Jump cut to outside Gravity Falls' city limits as Stan's car is stuck in the mud and he cannot get it out. In comes a round head man wearing a hat with green shirt and overalls with a jackass. I mention this because Stan calls him "donkey boy" and his name is Steve apparently. Steve also has a crowbar for no reason and has zero clue what a car is. Geez Steve; you are playing the part of 1863 well, but Stan is shooting here and in storyline, Steve is supposed to be a car mechanic. Steve pokes the magic wheel box as Stan yells at him and tells him to cut him some slack. Steve calls this a bold new expression and so Stan shakes Steve and here comes the bad episode police~ Yeah; someone steals from an old lady and they don't even bother; and yet they come in when Stan is merely shaking someone; and not only that, they came in their regular police clothes and are welding night sticks. Now granted; I'm guessing that they think Stan was the thief, since Stan is a thieving perverted scumbag. This surprisely is a very rational conclusion. It's still wrong; but it's still rational, considering Stan.

Stan mocks Blubs and dares him to throw him in the stocks...and that's exactly what happens. HAHA! Stan is also a stupid idiot, but I repeat myself. So Stan is stocked and in comes George Washington Gideon, who always tells a lie. He's also the most adorable in this outfit. Stan seems to not understand that when you are not in a position to insult anyone, to not insult anyone. Then again; Stan is a jackass and Gideon decides to have some fun with it, by "unintentionally" (Read: purposely throwing) dropping tomatoes right in Stan's kisser. HAHA! Gideon calls him Stanford and claims to be a humble tomato farmer selling his wares. The wink means he's lying and I love it. Stan growls and yells Pioneer Day at the top of his lungs, since he cannot say "Damn You!" on a Disney show. Scene change to a shot of Nathaniel's statue as we see Mabel and Dipper sitting on the bleachers as Mabel is eating butterscotch candies. Mabel asks Dipper is she is silly and Dipper stammers before saying no; which of course means yes, since it was awkward. Mabel takes it as Dipper admitting that she is silly and denounces it all and knots the sweater. Ooooo; Pacifica really is getting to her now as Dipper has had enough of Pacifica treating everyone like garbage just because of where she comes from, instead of being judged by her deeds and words, like a sane world would. Dipper wants to knock her down a peg and then notices something written in book number three. He opens to the page in question and after some time wasting voice decisions; we discover that Nathaniel might not be the founder of Gravity Falls. So there is a taped piece of paper and all that is needed is to crack the code. It is yet another Eye Of Providence pyramid as Dipper proclaims that if this is true, the Northwest family is a total fraud and this is a major conspiracy. Dipper wants to investigate and Mabel wants in as well, because SERIOUS BABEE! Oh sure, why not? Dipper accepts them as Mystery Twins as Mabel asks why he likes it now, and Dipper claims that it's grown on him. They do a fist bump and bail. Mabel grabs her butterscotch candy and bails stage left as Blubs is hiding behind the statue; and he gets on his transmitter, informing us of a code sepia. Jump cut to a guy in a computer room spitting coffee from his cup, as he demands Blubs to do something about it and Blubs claims that he's on the case. Yeah; I'll bet. The guy in the radio room tells them to find them and stop them as there is no room for error now. Blubs stops the transmission as Durland arrives with his bell as Blubs proclaims that this cover up has been the mission they have been training for their entire careers. Durland rings the bell and loves it, and I shake my head in disgust. Blubs proclaims that if joy was a crime, he would be breaking the law. Durland wants to go get them as they run down the steps to end the segment seven and a half minutes in. Well; that was a load of dumb stuff so far.

After the commercial break; we head to the Gravity Falls library and inside with Old Man McGucket in his rocking chair looking formal for a change, reading a book to the children as he claims that the pioneers drew sustenance from telling stories around the fire. I think they also drew something else, but I won't mention it here. McGucket then starts chewing at a book. Pfft; whatever. Pan west to Mabel and Dipper at a table reading book after book under a dark candlelight. Dipper is looking at the paper while doing eye contact violence on the painting with Nathaniel Northwest shown. Dipper wants to prove that Pacifica is a fraud and Mabel wants to prove she is serious. I think Dipper's dream is more likely to come true than Mabel's; considering her way of eating butterscotch candy. So the out of nowhere slide projector is set up by Dipper as he wants to crack the code. So we go through symbols and the triangle is the alchemist symbol for a flame and Dipper deduces that lighting the parchment on fire will reveal the secret message. No, it would not; Dipper. Dipper is about to take the candle light and Mabel folds the parchment into a hat and wears it, like a silly tool. Mabel then catches herself and blows another raspberry. HAHA! Dipper then realizes that the map is perfectly folded into a map with an arrow heading straight for someone's house. Mabel is surprised by this and Dipper cannot believe that he was going to burn it; so the code had a security image to throw Dipper off the scent by having him doing something stupid; but Mabel's silliness broke the code outright. And you wonder why I scratch my head in thinking that most people hate Mabel because she's different from most characters in DTVA? Oh; and speaking of the bad episode police, they are talking to someone at the counter in the background near the door. Durland is clotheslining books and ringing the bell; then they just leave for no reason, even though Dipper and Mabel hide underneath the table in a place where they could be easily spotted. Mabel checks the parchment and the next spot is the Gravity Falls Museum of History (with triangle but sans Eye of Providence); complete with two owl statue pillars. Dipper proclaims that they will have to break in. DA...DA...DAAAA! So they are in by just walking in and a brown haired woman (Her name is Sue) gives them badges and balloons. DA...DA...DAAAAAA! They're in. BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Of course you are, Dipper; of course you are. We head inside the musuem near a buffalo model as Mabel asks what is next, which includes stealing Thomas Jefferson's ribcage. Dipper is grossed out and according to the map and proclaims that the next clue should be a stone triangle on the wall. Dipper proclaims that they must solve this one real quick since Blubs and Durland weren't checking out book and Mabel claims that Durland cannot read. So they look at it and Mabel sits down and looks at it upside down; and she gets inspired and calls for Dipper. Dipper sits down, then upside down and notices that the picture is not abstract and it is an angel wearing an angel's robe with a book and pointing to the west (right side up it was pointing to the west; I don't think it's going to matter in storyline. However...). Mabel claims that she has seen the statue in the graveyard of Gravity Falls. They go right side up and they sell blood to the brain headaches. HA! So; back to Sue with Gunner Blubs and Murphy Durland as Durland is so disappointed that Sue has run out of pink balloon. What a tragedy?! I discover from Disney Captions that the guy in the radio room is a government agent as he calls for Blubs again causing the officers to run in as Blubs is on the transmitter with the government agent. The agent asks if they have arrested Dipper and Mabel. Answer: No; but we got Stan. *RIMSHOT* No; that is not what they actually said, that was me. Blubs claims that those kids will never get past them, and then the kids run right out of the musuem without any trouble. HA! IN YOUR FACE BLUBS~! Bulbs and Durland chase after them; and of course, because Blubs is just too fat, they are stuck inbetween the door. HAHA! Then we get that Z-Grade staple: A segment that has absolutely nothing to do with the movie and is just there to waste time. Only; this one at least was also designed to make the kids laugh. So we are inside the house with Woodpecker Guy and his woodpecker getting into an arguement over residence as the woodpecker pecks the table. The guy storms out of the cabin house in a rage, which is next to where Stan was as he is trying to pick the lock with his teeth and a pick lock rod. You wish you were Kit Cloudkicker there; he can cut ropes with an airfoil between his ankles. The pick lock falls to the ground and Pacifica comes in to pick it up. She taunts Stan and then gives him an offer: Say the Northwest family is the best and he's out of the stocks. Stan -- being the scumbag that he is -- agrees to the offer; even offering to do it in writing. So Pacifica gives him a notepad and pen; which she stuffs into Stan's mouth. EWWWWWWW! GET IT AWAY! GET IT AWAY! He basically writes you stink and Pacifica is PISSED now while Stan cheers for victory...and then Pacifica whistles to the tomato women -- whom Stan made to drop their tomatos at the beginning of the episode mind you -- and they walk towards Stan; and he panics. HAHA!

Jump cut to a shot of the arm of the angel statue in the graveyard pointing towards the east. I'm shocked that this graveyard has only one Christian cross on it; despite all the Eye Of Providences we often seen in this show. Mabel of course puts her nose into the pointy finger like a complete moron. Oh wait; that's her gimmick, my mistake. The finger pushes down and that opens the stone trap door right in front of Dipper. Mabel taunts Pacifica and nearly causes a nose bleed in the process; which is odd considering that nosebleeds are allowed in the new Disney. I found cross #2 before Mabel and Dipper go downstairs into the dark passage as Dipper has his flashlight on as Mabel is in serious conspiracy mode, and fooling no one with it. So Mabel eats a butterscotch candy and throws away the wrapper, which I'm certain the Gravity Keystone Cops will find soon enough. So we get jokes about booby traps with Mabel channeling Beavis & Butthead. Of course; Mabel steps on a ground push button with a triangle symbol on it; like a moron as we bring the DARTS OF SLEEPY into the mix. I was hoping one of them hits Durland and he sells like Launchpad in Ducktales 2017; betcha that won't happen. Mabel and Dipper run like the wind...an easterly wind before falling into the tube slide of doom. Mabel and Dipper get through cobwebs before entering a secret cave filled with cobwebbed cupboards containing top secret documents. So the cave contains a globe, a projector, an old American flag, a statue head of George Washington and an easel containing a secret document. There are also weapons nearby, no guns of course. Mabel takes a look at the projector as she looks at secret documents showing that Abe Lincoln has a hat because there is a wrist and hand inside of it. Oh; and Ben Franklin is secretly a woman, which might explain his party personality actually. Or maybe not. Dipper calls jackpot as he sees a document with the US Cover Up Seal~; called the Northwest Cover Up and it's stamped; Top Secret. Dipper opens up the document and reads it. Yes folks; Nathaniel Northwest did not find Gravity Falls, he was a waste shoveling village idiot. Basically; he was a poop farmer. Dipper and Mabel cheer for victory because Pacifica Northwest has been proven a fraud and...wait; who is the founder of Gravity Falls, and where is he? Oh wait; his name is Sir Lord Quentin Trembley III, Esq. Mabel asks who he is and in comes the bad episode police with flashlights...and then...BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh boy! BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Durland rings the bell and faceplants dead with eight sleepy darts on the back of his body. I should have known this was going to happen and he no sold them for ten seconds too before going out. Blubs says it all to end the segment thirteen minutes in. Now; we are picking it up here.

After the commercial break; we pan over to Blubs stealing the document outright, claiming it's a matter of national security. Durland cheers for victory and then thinks he's colorblind. I'm certain he's clueblinded as well; but that would be mean and the FCC is watching me. I think. Dipper and Mabel are confused as Blubs brings out a roll of film from his hat, which looks crumbled and broken down. He puts it in the projector and we play the movie, which is in black & white. Mabel complains about it and Dipper blows her off as we see a suit male with brown hair at the President's desk, and it might be the government agent that we saw early on for all I know. Apparently only eight people have clearance to see this film and he will be shot after filming is complete...or not. He has to be the government agent from earlier as he proclaims that there was an 8 1/2 president of the United States and his name is Quentin Trembley III, Esq.; and he is the most embarrassing president of all time...until Donald Trump of course. Two more pentacles appear in the film beside the logo of Quentin Trembley as he won in a landslide, literally. As in, all the candidates died in said landslide and he didn't. How Gladstone of you, sir. Basically; he waged war on pancakes literally, appointed six babies to the Supreme Court literally, and issued a no pants allowed law, literally. He is a huge Kit Cloudkicker fan, I see. POW! OUCH! Ummm...Mabel cleans out her eyes as Trembley's state of the union speech was that we have nothing to fear but man eating spiders. And after the incident with Peppa Pig and the spider; who can argue? Geez; that union speech is much more rational than anything Donald Trump has ever said! Less vile, too. They are trying to build that Nathaniel Northwest is less embarrassing than Trembley here; but after what happened last year; it's impossible for me to take this seriously. To me; Trembley's is less silly than Nathaniel. Anyhow; he was impeached and Trembley bailed for Gravity Falls, basically plowing into it with his horse. The USA disappeared him from history, having Harrison as the 9th president and Nathaniel -- a jaboroni -- as founder of Gravity Falls. The whereabouts of Trembley's body are unknown. The projector is turned off as Blubs proclaims until now as we discover that Quntien Trembley (an old man with a conish nose, glasses and a lot of hair with a bowtie) encased in peanut brittle. It was Trembley's plan to cheat death, you see.

So Blubs finally reveals his mission was to find Trembley and bring him back to Washington, D.C.; which is where the kids are going because we cannot have anyone telling anyone that Gravity Falls was founded unintentionally by a guy who was a former president who is still better than a poop farmer...TWICE~! I should note that Durland did in fact find the candy wrappers Mabel threw away. I don't know why since the cave was completely one path; other than to make Mabel feel bad about doing something stupid. As least Mabel asks if they are going to kill them. Of course not, Mabel. BS&P RULEZ~! That's the federal government's gimmick. So we head on a train headed out of Gravity Falls and head in the train rooms with the cops being giddy about fold-out beds and color rope for friendship bracelets along with spooky ghost stories. And as I expected, Durland has completely stop selling the sleep darts. Ah; these stupid cops...Jump cut to a giant crate with Dipper, Mabel and Trembley inside as Mabel gives up protesting and blames herself for falling for Pacifica's pegging and being a failure like Trembley. Mabel eats some peanut brittle and it shatters, freeing Trembley...and he's fine. Well; as fine as someone who has no problem ripping his pants off without needing a command. Still better than Donald Trump. Dipper is in shock as Mabel cannot believe it because peanut-brittle does have life-sustaining properties. I don't believe that one for a second, but it's no worse than amber, I guess. Mabel calls him brilliant (just seconds after calling him a failure mind you); and Trembley calls her brilliant as well. Dipper totally agrees with her because every silly thing she did cracked a code that the police couldn't crack for nearly 150 years. They say one hundred, but it's far more than that. Mabel blushes and tells him to stop it. I agree; because you still have to get out of this mess somehow and expose Pacifica for the dirty fraud that she is. Trembley sounds like he's overdoing it as he has the USA KEY OF DOOM; which it's gimmick is that it can unlock anything in America. So if the crate has a Canadian lock, then Trembley is screwed basically. Yeah; no clue to the outside world. And it don't matter because there is no lock inside and he's screwed. HAHA! I wish he would do this until the eighteen minute mark; because him pounding the key on all the wood would be hilarious. Trembley is voiced by Clamantha in case anyone cares.

So Trembley wants the silliest Krackpotkin plan ever concieved. And yes; that is supposed to be redundant. So Mabel and Trembley try to literally leap through the tinest hole they can find and Dipper has the Gruffi pose on full blast. So this goes on for a while, until the woodpecker (from earlier) somehow swoops in (so I assume she has separated from the Woodpecker Man; and good for her. He's a horrible dinner guest.), pecks on the wood and opens a panel of wood on the crate; causing the crate to explode. Yeah. This was beyond silly as Trembley calls this a failure and wants to rebuild the box and try again. HAHA! Dipper grabs the sheets and runs out; which Trembley agrees with it, too. So they run into the hallway to find Durland trying to put ice cubes into a container; they get seen and in comes Blubs. This leads to the babyfaces all climbing out of the emergency exit hatch onto the top of the train after a bout of Trembley using the USA KEY OF DOOM, which fails; forcing Dipper to steal the key from him. So we run and we see a wood pile car in front of the babyface; and they are trapped. Blubs and Durland pant and wheeze to say that there is no escape....from heart disease~! AHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! POW! OUCH! Ummmm...Blubs then takes a knee and is panting heavily. Durland asks if he needs anything and we discover that his full name is Edwin Durland, who is a diamond in the rough. You mean, rough diamond in the rough. And no; that isn't redundant. So yeah; the orders are for the kids and Trembley to be disappeared in a government facility. I betcha it would be in Cuba; but BS&P wouldn't allow it for obvious reasons. Dipper then asks if Trembley signed resignation paper and he admits that he didn't. He ate a slammander and jumped out the window. Still better than Donald Trump. You see; technically, he's still President Of The United States; which makes no f'n sense to me. I would believe that if you bail from the White House and your duties, that would be an act of resignation, wouldn't it? I'm no expert on this, if anyone can explain this to me, be my guest. I smell BS from this. So yeah; Blubs and Durland buy it hook, line and sinker as Trembley orders them to take a vacation and completely no sell a nasty concussion head shot to the back of the head of a metal pole. He might as well have been hit by Mabel and a steel chair; although her shot would likely be much, much more nastier.

So where do these two nutballs want to go on vacation...wait for it...wait for it...Silly Water Fun Slides in Grand Lakes, Michigan. Damn; I thought they would say Magic Mountain. So the train stops and lets the babyfaces off as Blubs and Durland wave goodbye in outfits that would completely violate the FASHION POLICE OF LAW. The train speeds away and that is that. Trembley thanks Mabel for doing a great service to the country; and thus is made an official congressman, as she gets the top hat as she declares that she is legalizing everything. I wish she would say "except Pacifica. She's needs to be heavily regulated." I would have died for her to say that. Dipper is called Roderick by Trembley as he wishes him good luck in exposing the mysteries of this great country; and gives him the USA KEY OF DOOM; which by the way, Dipper took from him earlier. Major, major logic break there doods. A crying shame since this would have been hilarious; if he really didn't have the key and Dipper had it all along. You had a perfect joke and you didn't even bother to go for it? Shame....and Sad~! So the babyfaces return to Gravity Falls as Trembley relate a story about getting his ass paddled for four hours straight. So yes folks; spanking doesn't work. Look how Trembley ended up as?! Still better than...you guessed it. We also find out that it was caused by George Washington and he's a jerk. Which makes no sense since Washington would have been dead before Trembley was even born. Another bad logic break. So we head to the color rope on a pole with the kids swinging around it, one of them trips; but stays alive. Pacifica and her posse are there and Pacifica orders the posse to remove the offender from the team. They sell and walk off. In comes Mabel and Dipper as Mabel explains herself; which has the spring harmonica music and unlike Barikan; this is actually funny. Mabel just cannot be angry and taunts Pacifica claiming that Pacifica is silly. Pacifica blows her off of course, because she's a bully and Mabel is a stupid idiot. This leads to Trembley picking a fist fight with a bald eagle. Damn; this episode is a complete mess; but it's sure damn funny. So Mabel explains all as Pacifica mocks her and her top hat. Priscilla and Preston (the father) laugh with her; instead of at her like they should. Then a car with the limo driver arrives as Pacifica mocks Stan's car in the mud and walks away stage right.

Dipper gets on Mabel's case about the documents and Mabel claims that she has nothing to prove because being silly is awesome.as she puts back on her dog sweater. Dipper blows this off because he hasn't learned anything and whistles to the limo. Now; if the driver was smart, he would just drive away; but he stops the limo anyway. So Dipper goes over to Pacifica and shows off the documents right in front of Pacifica and really sticks the whole thing right into her kisser with it. Basically; Dipper tells her that her family is a sham and she can deal with it. The driver drives the limo away as Pacifica is screaming for her mother and that is that. Dipper calls this underrated and it felt awesome. Yeah; you showed her...without having to expose it to anyone. Even Pacifica was shocked to hear about this; so this may imply that she was merely fed this lie; instead of her making the whole thing up, like this show has been implying from the start. Hmmm; maybe I should keep an eye out on Pacifica's characters throughout the series now, because now we have a starting point to her character. Trembley tells Dipper that he is needed elsewhere; but gives him a negative twelve dollar bill complete with a character called Bill Chiper; which we will all hate when this series is said and done. Dipper calls it worthless, and Trembley calls it less than that. He then hops backwards in such cartoon fashion and he lands on the horse backwards and the horse gallops away from the trainwrecks, probably towards Washington, DC. Dipper claims that it's really off a cliff, which is basically Washington, DC anyway. Trembley was awesome, too bad this episode was awesomely sloppy. Scene change to Dipper and Mabel finding Stan in the stocks as he complained about Soos coming in and talking to him for an hour, and despite Stan being a scumbag; Mabel still feels sorry for him. HAHA! So Dipper uses the USA KEY OF DOOM to free him and Stan asks about the top hat as Mabel is a congressman and Stan is pardoned. HAHA! Mabel and Dipper laugh and that was in fact funny. Sadly; not as funny as Stan claiming that Mabel making no sense and Mabel agreeing with him. So she tries to mimic Trembley; and she takes a nasty bump into the trash cans off-screen. Cat screeches and Mabel claims that she's okay. For once I believe her, she's probably as tough as Kenshiro at this point. So we end with Trembley trying to explain to four babies (wait; I thought it was six?) on the Surpeme Court and failing badly. HAHA! One of them is Chief Justice Num-Num, who's gimmick is to spit. Trembley calls this a dark day for America. I disagree; you are three years too late, sir. That ends the episode at 21:34. I like this episode; but it was way too sloppy and was pretty boring until the third act. *** 1/2 (70%).

THE REVIEW LINE

Well; I cannot say that I don't like this episode because I actually do. Trembley III, Esq was extremely funny and really, he wasn't any worse than Nathaniel Northwest anyway. Plus ranting on this three years later did the whole build of Trembley being the worst president rendered pointless anyway. I cannot see Trembley and think "Still better than Trump". Mabel was her usual awesome self and Dipper is really great in being awesome when the moment presents himself. He's slowly building his character and that is nice to see. Blubs and Durland are really stupid funny idiots; but that's fine and Stan being out of the way was a big win for me. There were a lot of sloppines in the animation and in the logic of the episode; mostly with George Washington paddling Trembley; which was funny, but made no sense. There were other logic breaks, and the first two acts were slow and plodding. I'm still not impressed with Pacifica yet, but the end does offer some hope for me when Dipper exposed her family for the fraud that she was and did it without going to the papers. Her response was in shock; not that she was caught, but shocked that this was in fact a fraud. That tells me that she might either be a good heel; or it's a slow turn towards being a babyface. We'll see what happens. Overall; I like this episode; but it could have been better. Hey; if we are going to have an incompentent president, Trembley is the best one for that. So....

Thumbs in the middle for this episode and I'll see you all next time.
