Peppa Pig Tales #8 Rant

Reviewed: 06/25/2023

Old School Peppa Pig Is Back! Sort of Part Eight!

Well, since Peppa Pig the series has been slowing down and there's only four episodes left in the pot, I was going to resume TaleSpin work this year. An easy series that gives me great joy in terms of mockery and enjoyment. There is still lots let to do before I can finally wrap that show up? Sadly, TaleSpin has been delayed until at least 2023, because my second love and enjoyment decided to really run interference on me. How so you ask? Welcome to the Rant Shack: Peppa Pig Tales! And after the very first episode, I cannot resist and I'm going to rant on these "shorts" because Baby Alexander is back and creating a lot more questions than answers. (March 2023 Gregory Weagle Says: Hold it! I have just gotten word that there is no problems with Uncle and Auntie Pig and the family is getting along just fine. You'll see the evidence in Baby Bumps. Only one missing is Cousin Chole now.) Peppa Pig Tales is a series of short 3-3 1/2 minute episodes (Literally up to 75% of an average "Peppasode".) of Peppa Pig doing stuff without the original voices or creators with most of the "filler" cut out. That's basically it. It is awkward listening to this when you are so used to seeing the show, however; it is basically the same in term of premise. So, I'll be doing eight episodes per block like I always do until this series gets sick and tired of this and goes back to the actual Peppa Pig series which has reached eight series up to this point. How do these episodes fare? Let's rant on shall we..?!

Editor's Note: I will no longer be revealing which episodes were done by who, since my video source keeps cutting off the EDs and it's basically the same five to six writers anyway.

Go-Karts: Short opens at the makeshift track where Miss Rabbit is riding a black cart having the time of her life. I hope she is, this multiple gimmicks thing just bakes her at this point. She stops as Mummy Pig, Danny Dog, Suzy Sheep and Peppa watch in awe. Everyone is ready to race go-karts, so Danny Dog is going to get buried again, like a dog burying a bone at this point. We do a montage of the kids and adult choosing racing costumes which are basically suits with checkered flags and colors. The colors seem to match the kids shirts, so of course! Mummy Pig chooses what appears to be the biking costume we saw with Granny and Grandpa Pig in a mainline episode in Series 7. The safety helmets are also color coordinated as well. Danny Dog somehow screwed up his helmet and cannot see and needs help. Can you bury this dog any further, show? Everyone gets into the karts as Mummy Pig takes over for Miss Rabbit. Yes, the karts are also color coordinated with the shirts. Miss Rabbit explains the karts functions and the kids sell it by cosplaying the actions. Miss Rabbit claims that it's like riding a bicycle as Mummy Pig foolishly thinks it rides like a car and pedals to the metal, causing her kart to burn out. Mummy Pig applies the brakes and then spins out and crashes into a hay bale. Mummy Pig picks hay from her shoulders and wonders what to do next as the kids giggles with such hilarious pitching that I was laughing my ass off. Next, Peppa and Danny drive forward while Suzy Sheep is pedalling in the opposite direction and going backwards. Of course! Suzy don't care at all about this as Miss Rabbit is literally hopping backward to tell her to reserve pedal so Suzy can go forward. I guess pedalling backwards is magic, since Suzy always claims science equals magic. She's wrong of course, but it's still funny. Suzy gets it anyway and Danny Dog laps her. Danny then repeats Mummy Pig's mistake around the corner and crashes into a conveniently placed pylon and is uprooted; so this might be worse than Mummy Pig. I'm well past the point of caring about Danny Dog's heat as a character at this point. Miss Rabbit resets Danny Dog's kart on the track and informs him about the brakes. Now that I think about it, both Suzy and Danny cosplayed the device and never used it properly at all. Dorks! Mummy Pig is still having trouble getting the kart out as she hits pylons as Miss Rabbit questions her, but Mummy Pig gets it at least in the right direction.

Now, it's Peppa's turn to have trouble as she's steering way too much and it's too wiggly. By the way, if you use the -ie, then it comes out as wigglie. Peppa is told to be more gentle and Peppa sells and the race is officially on as Mummy Pig re-enters the race track and she turns the corner while the narrator narrates and out of nowhere there is a ramp made of wood and a tyre. What?! Mummy Pig does the ramp jump and lands perfectly and turns the kart around to let the other kids pass, so they can have a chance to win. Okay, I'm fine with that. Mummy Pig turns around and races as time is up and Miss Rabbit waves the checkered flag. Guess who gets there first?! Yes, Danny Dog! I am so waiting for them to call it a draw now. Also, some praise for the writers here: They didn't use the checkered flag to start the race and good for them to not do that. They do not mention it; so yes, Danny Dog finally got his big win as Mummy Pig is in last. HEE HEE! Everyone laughs to end the episode at 3:13. An extremely fun episode as Danny Dog, despite burying himself time and time again, finally got the big win and we can all move on. **** 1/4 (85%).

Fishing Trip: Short opens on Grandpa Pig's tug boat as Peppa (in a life jacket) is fishing and when she pulls something up, her face is like she's ready to cry. Grandpa Pig is loving it as does George as Peppa pulls up her first...boot. BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! George's reaction to this was so great, I was laughing my ass off. George is like he won the Wrestlemania main event despite not doing anything. It gets even better: George has something on his line and he is fighting so hard that he almost goes overboard. Grandpa Pig grabs him, Peppa throws her fishing rod away to assist Grandpa Pig by tugging on his ass; George reels the line in and it is George's first...boot. BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! George just smiles as Peppa calls this a job well done. I laughed and laughed and laughed some more. Guess what the payoff to all this is: After finding two lost boots, Mr. Bull arrives on his sailing ship barefoot and admits that they are his boots! I love this episode and we are barely a minute in. Even better, Mr. Bull doesn't bother to wear his boots and leaves them on the deck of his ship. Mr. Bull sails away stage left and one of the boots falls into the drink, AGAIN! I howled with laughter. Not even Daddy Pig is this stupid. Peppa wants to try to catch some fish and Grandpa Pig decides to go to the shallows and by that, he means a shallow river filled with tiny fish while the family has butterfly nets. There is no way those tiny fish are going to be caught with net holes bigger than the tiny fish bodies. This is just daring absurdity here. Peppa and George don't care and jump up and down in the shallows to scare the fish away. Good. That at least lops off the gaping logic break of the nets here, even if it means there is no fish to catch and make the kids look dumb. Grandpa warns them a good ten seconds too late, because he's dumb as if the nets weren't a dead giveaway. Grandpa Pig then demonstrates the net and the artists actually realize that they have to cover up the obvious logic break, so they do so by having the family scoop the net and keep it underwater at all times and not even attempt to take any fish away. Okay, that makes sense now. There is a lot of weird noises as we get the school of minnows and all of them are rainbow colored of course. Peppa Pig blows him off for that, so Peppa Pig hates metaphors as much as statstics. Thankfully, Grandpa Pig explains that school equal group in the fish world. Peppa continues netting and finds Mr. Bull's boot...AGAIN!! As soon as Peppa realizes this, in comes Mr. Bull; who learned his lesson about wearing them boots a good two minutes too late. Grandpa Pig scolds Mr. Bull for this as Mr. Bull is putting his boots on, and somehow he apologizes and does the starting now as he chases his hat which fell in the shallows and floats away stage left. Of course! The kids giggles as they splash into the shallows and start netting as the narrator says it all to end the episode at 3:12. Another really awesome episode that was tres funny as Mr. Bull continues to get buried for my pleasure. **** (80%).

Dentist For A Day: Short opens inside playgroup with Peppa dressed up like a dentist as Miss Rabbit is dressed up like a nurse while Peppa demonstrates the clock key false teeth and it screws her over like the football in American Football. If you listen closely, you can hear Doctor Hamster laughing all the way to the bank. The kids are amused, including Suzy; whom is not cosplaying a nurse despite that being her gimmick in the mainline series. Candy Cat, Freddy Fox, Rebecca Rabbit and Gerald Giraffe are the other kids present today. As the narrator says it all, it ends with Peppa grabbing the false teeth, as Miss Rabbit claims that Peppa has caught her teeth. Also funny. So, it's all about maintaining healthy teeth and Peppa suggests that going to the dentist is a good idea, and I agree. In fact, the kids agree...except for Gerald Giraffe whom you know is scared of the dentist when the NARRATOR has to cut the promo for him. Peppa decides to help Gerald overcome his dentophobia, and yes there is such a thing. I love how Peppa is claiming that she goes to the dentist all the time despite we have seen her only ONCE at the dentist in an episode that in this show's eyes, no longer exists. So, the dentist chair has already been set up off-screen before this as Gerald sits down in said chair while Peppa puts a blue apron on his chest and goggles over his eyes. Gerald questions this as Peppa pulls out a flashlight (and doesn't call it a torch for some reason) and Peppa orders Gerald to open his mouth and say "awwwwww". Gerald obeys without question, thus killing the whole dentophobia angle dead right there. I'm guessing his parents do not like dentists, or think Doctor Elephant, the only real dentist in the Peppa Pig World is a bigot. The narrator calls it a torch anyway as Peppa uses the mirror on a stick to examine Gerald's teeth. Gerald sounds like Danny Dog by the way as the examination is over and Gerald's teeth get a clean bill of health. Oh swell, they are going to Cartoon Duck Syndrome an episode that is literally three minutes long! Gerald gets a sticker as Miss Rabbit asks how to keep healthy teeth at home, and the kids ponder this over and Suzy proclaims that we brush them. Of course! So, it's toothbrushes for everyone! We get the brushes and the floor wet before putting on the toothpaste which Candy Cat's looks like a sundae at Dairy Queen without the flavor. Miss Rabbit does the countdown to brushing as they all brush and Candy Cat's head is encased in bubbles. More brushing as they basically brush anything that resembles tooth material. So, since they did very well (Candy Cat was overdid by the way), except for making sure the floor isn't wet; that it's stickers for everyone! Including Gigi Gazelle! The narrator says it all to end the episode at 3:16 (!!!). Just an episode as the whole Gerald is afraid of dentists was killed before it had a chance to be built up properly. ** (40%).

Boat Race: Short opens in the forest as the bus in the background is still running. Gigi and the kids are all cheering for no real reason that I can think of. Kids: Peppa Pig, Mandy Mouse (YAY!), Danny Dog (BOOOOO!), Emily Elephant (no reaction), Suzy Sheep, and Pedro F'N Pony. The kids make it to the lake, but Miss Rabbit rides in and splashes all the kids. Kids don't care, they giggle anyway. I'll give the creators this, they actually remembered to give a lifejacket and a helmet for Miss Rabbit to wear after years of having the kids wear lifejackets but not the adults in the mainline series. We see the lake docks with Captain Dog and Reggie "Grampy" Rabbit attending to two row boats. I guess the stips don't apply to rowing boats I see. The kids all run as Miss Rabbit remembers to splash Gigi in the process, Gigi was not cool with that. For about two seconds, she shrugs it off as everyone wears lifejackets and helmets. Pedro F'N Pony somehow falls backwards after putting the gear on and has to be helped in, making him look clueless as usual. So, the red team consists of Miss Rabbit, Reggie Rabbit, Peppa, Suzy and Pedro. Which means the blue team will be Captain Dog, Gigi Gazelle, Danny Dog, Emily Elephant and Mandy Mouse. So, they row out across the lake, that looks like an ocean as Miss Rabbit demonstrates the oars to row the boat. The kids all try it and they competely make the yellow ducks want to leave forever as the rowing coordination sucks in such a hilarious way that I was laughing my ass off. The kids chanting during this did not help by composure. Miss Rabbit thankfully tells them to row in unison and it works of course. The ducks are on a red buoy and sit in it because they hate the kids now. Some of the ducks flee to the adults standing on the docks because the episode is only forty seconds left before it's over. Mummy "I Can Be Scary, Honest!" Mouse, Doctor "I Don't Play Console Wars" Pony, Mummy "I Can Make Anyone Cry Except For The Big Kids At Parties" Elephant, Mummy "I Didn't Consider Not Getting The Job" Sheep and Mummy "I Could Tidy Up A Bit" Pig. A lot of waving as Gigi claims that the parents are here to collect them, like the kids are objects. Distressing. Mandy Mouse wants to do a race, because somehow Danny Dog must be a plucky loser again. So, we have the race as Miss Rabbit uses a checkered flag to start and annoy me and the ducks who fly away. Megaphone is involved of course, and no "Ready, Steady, Go!" here either. So, Peppa is all confused about the heave, ho thingie; but it doesn't matter as both are neck and neck and they splash the adults at the same time and thus it is a legit draw. Okay, then. The adults tease being piss ants, but then giggle with the children as Gigi praises them. The narrator says it all to end the episode at 3:12. While it's sad that Danny didn't win again, at least they didn't tease a win and then delcare it a draw this time. Fun episode otherwise. *** 1/2 (70%).

Volcano Science: Short opens with Playgroup watching television about a volcano erupting in hilariously cartoony fashion. Besides Gigi, we have Peppa, Suzy, Danny, Candy, Gerald and Emily watching. The kids are in awe as Gigi answers the question that volcanos are real and there are none close by. The children cheer anyway even though none of them showed signs of fear. This has to be a BS&P decision, because it otherwise makes no sense. Gigi wheels in a table under a cloth, because it's time to create your own "volcano", or in reality, the baking soda-vinegar bubbly explosion! Yeah, I know it's not the exact science term for the experiment, but this show claims all science is magic (thanks Suzy Sheep for nothing); I have to play along here. So, all the wheel tables have newspaper clippings, glue and a beakor. I don't see the point of the newspaper clippings and the glue other than to give the kids an excuse to make a mess. The partners; Peppa and Suzy, Candy and Gerald and Danny and Emily. Gigi demonstrate sticking glue onto the newspaper clipping and putting them against the walls of the beakor. Gerald and Emily do a great job in avoding a mess, Danny Dog and Emily Elephant has glue and clippings stuck to their hands while Peppa and Suzy basically have glue all over their bodies; but still manage to get the clippings stuck to the beakor. Put a pin on this because, there is another logic break in this episode. Emily gets glue on her trunk with a clipping at one point. So, they do manage to get it right as off-screen Gigi brings up the paint jars from below her wheel table and puts them on top. Suzy picks the red container, Danny picks the blue container, Candy picks the green container; the colors are similar in color to the shirts they wear as the narrator talks about real volcanoes having grey color sides and dark red lava; which is funny since Peppa Pig does use grey colors for painting. Well, to be fair, the volcano contents are baking soda and vinegar, so it doesn't matter if the colors are wrong, but the contents are fake anyway. These are worked volcanoes. The kids paint their volcanoes and since Pedro isn't around to be clueless, Danny has to be the one who unintentionally places his hand on the volcano. Danny's not cool with this, so Emily repaints the paw print away to fix that. Danny manages to do this without painting his own hand, which is brilliant actually.

It's now time for the science experiment as Gigi brings out the lab coats and goggles and we get a longish montage of the kids putting on the clothes. Logic break: Why didn't they do this before they started making the volcanoes?! Seriously. Also, no shower caps?! I mean, that would have reduce the amount of glue mess and possible bubble lashing from the experiment that they are going to do anyway. That one bothered me, at least the no sell of fear was due to BS&P's fault, but there's no reason not to dress them up before starting the whole thing. Gigi brings out a tray of small bottles of vinegar because we are making lava and now the kids are gasping. Okay, that was funny. Gigi reassures them that this lava is not lava, but vinegar and thus safe. Sadly, it's not safe from piss. The paint jars were moved to the bottom of the wheel tables off-screen; and we move on as Gigi pours vinegar into the beakor. Gigi tells them not to spill them; which no one does despite the suspense. Next up, food coloring which matches the volcanoes' color are added by Gigi. It's too bad they didn't use opposite colors to the sides, because that would maintain continuity from the volcano on television in that the sides are one color, while the lava is a different color. Gigi calls it a secret despite food coloring being harmless. I CLUB BS&P! So, Gigi brings out a container of baking soda and shake a little into the beakor and stands back as the volcano erupts into genric white bubbles. Now, it's the kids' turn. Suzy and Peppa add theirs, stand back and get red bubbles erupting. Peppa is way too excited to see this, Suzy, Emily and Danny are more subdued when the blue bubbles come out of the beakor. Candy and Gerald add way too much, and their volcano erupts into a green bubble mess that it lands on the floor and creates a muddy puddle on the floor. DING! You can guess what happens next and that ends the episode at 3:14. Okay, this was a great episode, albeit messy in logic and literally at the end. *** 3/4 (75%).

Arcade Fever: Short opens at the video arcade with Daddy Pig and Peppa Pig shooting basketball in the shooting hoops. George and Mummy Pig watch on as the narrator explains the obvious to us, while Daddy Pig does a trick shot that actually goes in without incident. Probably one of the few times Daddy Pig was arrogant and got away with it. Peppa does the overdramatic "Ball teases not going in by spinning around the hoop; but then goes in anyway" spot. They get their tickets as time expires and everyone cheers. Daddy Pig claims that Peppa Pig and Daddy Pig are experts at arcade games, and by experts, they mean they are tag-team partners. Mummy Pig collects the tickets and calls them tokens, which makes no sense. George makes a basket; but it means nothing. Mandy Mouse is at the "Whack-A-Carrot" riding away with her tickets in glee. I guess Whack-A-Mole is too offensive, even for this show. Also, it's called "Carrot Bop", which is like changing Mindsweeper into a flower bomb game in Italy. So, the kids all bop the plastic carrots for a while with George being assisted by Mummy Pig of course, since the table is too high for George on his own. More tickets come out and now Peppa is calling them tokens. I don't get why they are not called tickets here, since tokens would be currency for playing the game. I guess they are all free with a flat fee to enter the arcade to avoid the possible gambling reference, but for goodness sakes, in real life; this would be uber confusing. Peppa is so excited to tell Daddy about this, but Daddy Pig is humming a tune and dancing on the Dance Dance Revolution knock-off dance pad. I laughed and laughed at this because Daddy Pig's dance moves absolutely suck! This was even funnier when he claims that he's a great dancer, he is sweating and completely blown up. Daddy Pig lets Peppa take over and she outclasses Daddy Pig in every way with George doing even better. HAHA! Mummy Sheep, Mandy Mouse, Danny Dog, and Gerald Giraffe join in the fun for a while. Peppa stops dancing and the tickets they get bury George in a spiral tomb. Peppa wants to play a family game and the family game is basically a water balloon filling carnival game with a clown theme. The family sprays with water guns, probably the only time you see a gun of any kind on the show; the blue balloon pops so George wins and somehow he's getting more tickets than any other game up to this point. That was funny.

Miss Rabbit comes in with a green hat to inform Peppa that they have won the jackpot and can trade the tickets for the huge prize. The tickets somehow makes Peppa's voice deeper. So, they bring the tickets to the desk with the prizes behind Miss Rabbit and Miss Rabbit has declares that Peppa has won the most amazing prize of them all....the smallest bowling pencil you ever saw. BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! The best part about this is: Peppa teases being disappointed...and then cheers like she just won the Wrestlemania main event. I howled with laughter seeing that. That prize was such BS, but Peppa's reaction was so hilarious it was worth it. What a funny finish that was?! Also, no one else cares as they are laughing while the narrator acts like this is nothing to bring the funny even more to end the episode at 3:07. A fun episode with an awesomely funny finish that would never work in real life, but whatever. It's not like token/ticket thingie was confusing enough. *** 1/2 (70%).

The London Underground: Short opens with Peppa and George wearing backpacks waving to the bus as it drives away. Mummy Pig and Daddy Pig are with them on the sidewalk as they are in London again. They are here to watch Super Potato: The Musical this time because no one cares about the queen anymore. Apparently, Big Ben has the clock at 11:45; and Daddy Pig panics because he wants to hurry since the thing apparently starts in fifteen minutes. Oh, and it begins to rain just to make things wetter and more miserable. Mummy Pig wants to take the underground train, which is basically the British version of a subway. The family goes underground to check the map on the wall as the narrator claims that it never rains underground. Yeah, but there was a real deadly fire in the underground some 30+ years ago as I learned on Foresnic Files. Although, I don't think water would have made a difference anyway. The map contains just the landmark for the theatre (which is why calling a movie theater the cinema is a better term) which is on the red line. George is giddy and Peppa compares it to spaghetti. Although, there is such a thing as tomato and spinach spaghetti noodles, I'm not sure about the others. They had to make it a surprise by showing the far left blue line dot which is where they are, which I'm certain is not what happens in real life. Somehow, they have subway tickets despite no evidence that they were paid for. The tickets are checked and I guess they are paid for since the ticket barrier approves them as Peppa thanks the ticket robot, even though it's clearly a ticket barrier. She's so polite when it comes to inanimate objects. Oh, and her backpack strap causes her to get stuck on the spikes. I know you shouldn't punch down on kids, but Daddy Pig should have a hearty laugh anyway since it always happens to him. Miss Rabbit in a subway guard outfit at the booth runs in for the save and somehow remembers Peppa's name. Someone is going to make a movie about how the Miss Rabbit's get their assignment once this show goes into public domain, if it ever does. Miss Rabbit uses a spare ticket stub to free Peppa and the family follows the conveniently place blue line on the floor to go downstairs. Mr. Bull runs in and his strap on his backpack gets him stuck. HAHA! We cut to the subway as it stops and we see Captain Emergency and Mr. Labo as cameos, along with Mr. Lion in the subway. Everyone is bumping everyone as everyone gets out.

The narrator explains the obvious to us as Daddy proclaims that everyone is in a hurry for lunch or something. Well, it's almost noon time in London judging by the clock, so, of course! The family comes in and holds the rail and they couldn't use a generic PSA voice and have the subway automated. No, the same Miss Rabbit who was at the booth has to drive the subway. Of course! They are daring a horror movie for this show at this point, and it will likely be a Russian bootleg movie. The subway starts and Mummy Pig claims it's bumpy, but that's only because it is going faster than a bus. Also, Miss Rabbit has the lights on and is doing a tour no one can see nor care about. Because there's nothing but underground, you see. The subway finally reaches the connection to the red line as we get Dr. "I was robbed at puddle jumping" Elephant, Officer "Why does this show hate my kids" Panda, and Mrs. "I made an awesome washing hands song" Badger show up. Oh, and Mr. Labor shows that he's sexist and a magician. Of course! I think Charlotte Sheep and even Mummy Dog makes a cameo, but I'm not sure. The family walks out and a whip lashing jump cut forces the family into the next subway car which has green railings this time. Peppa trolls George to watch his step, he's fine. They ride the red line and finally make it to the dot where the theater is as Daddy Pig panics because there's a few minutes left and they may miss the beginning. Impossible, because in comes Super Potato to the rescue! Of course! What a fool I am?! I guess this is a make up for editing the family out of the Super Potato movie, which is probably a better deal then being in that dumb movie anyway. Super Potato leads the family through the subway as the narrator says it all to end the episode at 3:12. Wow, this episode look more rushed than the subway goers here as there was a lot of jump cuts and not much entertainment for me. ** 1/2 (50%).

Bowling Party: Short opens with someone throwing a strike at a bowling alley and getting the overwrought appearance of Super Potato on the television screen announcing it by headbutting the pins while flying. Do potatoes get CTE?! Anyhow, you are a super bowler if you throw a strike in Super Potato's eyes, so good to know. Apparently, if you believe the video source, this is Suzy Sheep's birthday. Geez, the show just keeps burying her despite being the #2 star of the show next to Peppa. Miss Rabbit is giving out something to Peppa, I have no idea what it is as Suzy is taunting Pedro F'N Pony for a while. The party hats the kids are wearing indicate that it is Suzy's birthday and finally, Suzy has one inspite of years and years of shows despite Suzy debuting in Series 1, Episode 3! The thing Peppa was given by Miss Rabbit was in fact bowling shoes, in orange/blue colors with white laces. Pedro and Suzy put their black shoes behind their back and apparently in some back pocket we never see. Peppa is the expert at bowling and everyone else is the rookie geek, which is so on brand with Peppa. Hey, Peppa threw a strike with no help on the first try in Bowling in the mainline series, so at least there is some continuity with the mainline series. Miss Rabbit tells Peppa to show the bowling geeks the ropes of bowling. Peppa accepts and they do something I have never seen before in a bowling alley: There is a stand containing a camera and screen, and the kids all stand, make funny faces and take their pictures and the picture is posted on the television screen board. That looked really cool and I hope I see this in bowling alleys in Nova Scotia in future if I haven't seen them already. Of course, the picture is for the far left lane of the bowling alley. Peppa then shows the fundementals of bowling and they are better than mine as she gets eight on the first try here, for demonstration purposes only. Suzy (the birthday one mind you) wants to pick up the purple flower bowling ball, but she cannot pick it up to save her life even though the bowling balls are the same size. Suzy, you are on the wrong training program! It's like a strong muscle head being unable to open a water bottle at a Mets game. Peppa gives her the blue bowling ball and Suzy picks it up despite being the same size, she has to act like it's lighter. I howled with laughter. Suzy tries to wind up, but the ball goes backwards and it hit Mr. Bull because he's swearing in DUBBED BRITISH STYLE or DUBBED AUSSIE STYLE.

Doesn't matter as Suzy gets the ball back. Now, witness the geeks trying to bowl the ball and failing hard as Pedro and Gerald throw gutter balls and Gerald does the worst ballerina dance of all time and lands on his ass. I was sobbing with laughter watching this. Everyone is not thrilled by this as Peppa tells them not to worry as Miss Rabbit has a one button remote control. She pushes the red button and the guards are up now. Suzy's first official roll with the red bowling ball is like a pinball machine that hits exactly one pin. Fun way to play, indeed Miss Rabbit: For me to laugh at. Everyone pops for it anyway and that makes it even funnier. Pedro's turn; but Pedro doesn't want to pinball nor bounce his shot, so Miss Rabbit brings in the ramp that George used to get his strike in the mainline series. His bowling ball matches the shirt and he bowls a seven. Just twist the knife, why don't you show? This show is such a dick when it comes to Pedro F'N Pony that they seriously believe he's a Sony fanboy, or something. By the way, Suzy tosses the ball hard and they did a suspense moment that took literally one second. Also funny. So the kids bowl like fools for a while giggling at the sight as Suzy takes another bowling ball because she's inspired to get that damn super bowler strike that Peppa, George (albeit assisted) and Danny Dog already got theirs. By the way, the final frame is upon us, the last bowl so says Miss Rabbit as everyone has their bowling balls ready. Suzy decides to turn around, and roll the ball backwards, and with a lot better form than most geeks rolling it forwards; and she gets a super strike and does it better than Peppa. HAHA! Now that's a great finish to the whole thing. The narrator does his spiel as the kids run around the bowling alley like they just won the Wrestlemania main event and that ends the episode at 3:09. Great episode, awesome finish; but Pedro is getting buried in this bowling stuff. At least Gerald Giraffe's failed ballerina attempt was funny and I could laugh at it. **** 1/2 (90%).

THE REVIEW LINE

Well, we got three ****+ episodes this week and one below average episode. The Dentist For A Day episode would have been a lot better if the whole Gerald Giraffe fear of dentists was build up a lot better, seems to be something they could have done as a mainline episode instead of the shorts. Bowling Party was awesome as always even if the same finish was used because it's Suzy and she wanted that strike so badly. Go-Karts was great as Danny Dog got his big win and Fishing Trip was funny because Mr. Bull was so dumb for my pleasure. Volcano Science might have been the fifth thumbs up episode if the logic wasn't so off. Overall, this was a great set of shorts and considering that it seems the mainline series is probably not going to continue until the "20 Years Of Muddy Puddles" occurs, which won't be until 2024. So...

Thumbs down for Dentist For A Day, thumbs up for Go-Karts, Bowling Party, Fishing Trip; thumbs in the middle for the rest and I'll see you all next time.
