Peppa Pig Tales #24 Rant

Reviewed: 10/26/2024

Old School Peppa Pig Is Back! Sort of Part 24!

Well, since Peppa Pig the series has been slowing down and there's only four episodes left in the pot, I was going to resume TaleSpin work this year. An easy series that gives me great joy in terms of mockery and enjoyment. There is still lots let to do before I can finally wrap that show up. Sadly, TaleSpin has been delayed until at least 2025, because my second love and enjoyment decided to really run interference on me. How so you ask? Welcome to the Rant Shack: Peppa Pig Tales! And after the very first episode, I cannot resist and I'm going to rant on these "shorts" because Baby Alexander is back and creating a lot more questions than answers. (March 2023 Gregory Weagle Says: Hold it! I have just gotten word that there is no problems with Uncle and Auntie Pig and the family is getting along just fine. You'll see the evidence in Baby Bumps. Only one missing is Cousin Chole now.) Peppa Pig Tales is a series of short 3-3 1/2 minute episodes (Literally up to 75% of an average "Peppasode".) of Peppa Pig doing stuff without the original voices or creators with most of the "filler" cut out. That's basically it. It is awkward listening to this when you are so used to seeing the show, however; it is basically the same in term of premise. So, I'll be doing eight episodes per block like I always do until this series gets sick and tired of this and goes back to the actual Peppa Pig series which has reached eight series up to this point. How do these episodes fare?! Let's rant on shall we..?!

Editor's Note: I will no longer be revealing which episodes were done by whomever, since my video source keeps cutting off the EDs and it's basically the same six to seven writers anyway.

Pasta Bar: Short opens with someone making noodles from a hand spinning meat grinder/pasta maker, and it's Miss Rabbit doing it of course.Today's episode features a pasta making class with Mummy Pig, Peppa Pig, Mummy Dog, Danny Dog, Suzy Sheep, Mummy Sheep, and Penny Polar Bear with Mummy Polar Bear! Miss Rabbit puts her pasta on a rack to dry off as it's time to make pasta according to the narrator. I should note that when Peppa uses the food coloring for the dough, she only uses three colors: red, blue and yellow. However, when it comes out of the pasta makers, it makes a rainbow of colors! SUZY SHEEP~?! Speaking of the magic thinker who cannot suspend her disbelief to save her life, Suzy is pondering over what to do and tells Peppa that this isn't in the original recipe. Peppa don't care, rainbow spaghetti is awesome. It actually is, unless you are a bigot. Miss Rabbit makes ravioli next with green filling, just to make sure it's all vegan and everything. Don't want the bigots to think the show endorses cannibalism or anything. Perfecto after sealing the pasta. Suzy Sheep and Mummy Sheep do it perfectly and give each other a fist bump. Oh those are deadly, man. It's like the knee-on-knee collision...POW! OUCH! Ummm... Danny and Mummy Dog decide to make a giant version with raviloi in order to make a giant soccer ball. Works for me, I guess. Suzy of course has to be the Karen Contranian of this outfit to point out how wrong Danny is. Sod off, Suzy Sheep! Danny blows that off as Peppa asks if he likes rainbow pasta and Danny Dog accepts as they make a soccer ball with rainbow hair. Okay, I'm starting to feel this episode now. Danny calls it Princess Pastahead and everyone except Suzy laughs. When everyone except the Karen laughs at you, it's time for Suzy the Karen to punt. Everyone makes more pasta from wavy pasta to pasta bowties where it's called pasta butterflies. Danny's butterflies are large as Miss Rabbit addresses the crowd because it's inspection time. Now Danny makes a bowtie for Princess Pastahead and everyone laughs. Miss Rabbit eats ocean pasta from Penny Polar Bear. By the way the polar bears haven't spoke once in this show. Peppa made the longest tagliatelle in the world. No, not really. It looks more like large spaghetti though. No, I'm not doing star ratings for the pasta because all of them are **** in their own way. Suzy is in frowning Karen mode because they didn't do it the way Miss Rabbit does. Earth to Suzy: Miss Rabbit don't care, it's obvious! Miss Rabit praises the pasta of Suzy and Mummy Sheep as perfect anyway. Same rating and a hearty sod off to Suzy Sheep's Karen routine. Suzy Sheep says it all as everyone praises the pasta anyway. Everyone has had fun making it as the animal sounds sound different in Peppa Pig Tales. As of they are acting the sound rather than using repeat sound effects. Penny Polar Bear finally speaks! It's a miracle! In comes Granddad Dog, George Pig, Daddy Pig, Granny Sheep in her debut on Peppa Pig Tales and written in by teleport, Doctor Polar Bear! The Polar Bear family finally unites on Peppa Pig Tales! AWESOME! I'll forgive the obvious teleport moment as the narrator says it all to end the episode at 3:12. This was a very fun episode with pasta and the two mummies reuniting on the side story brand. What more could you want?! **** (80%).

Donations Day: Short opens inside a makeshift shop as Miss Rabbit is putting plush animals on a table. The Pig family is here with Mummy and Daddy Pig carrying boxes of stuff while Gerald Giraffe comes in cosflying a mode airplane, so he's the TaleSpin lover, or something. Miss Rabbit takes the boxes as she brings out Dollie (from a mainline episode involving a flying model airplane) and a book about dinosaurs. Peppa takes the doll back and George takes the dinosaur book back because reasons! Mummy Pig claims that they chose the objects to donate because they don't play with them anymore. Okay, Dollie I can understand; but the dinosaur book?! I find that one to be extremely sus on Mummy Pig's part. Daddy Pig is donating a neon green lighted lamp and Daddy Pig isn't so sure. Considering that this is the first time I have seen said lamp, Daddy Pig doesn't have the excuses even Peppa Pig does. Peppa is worried about Dollie being lonely. Personally, I'm more worried about Teddy since that is the abusive relationship Peppa has with it. Miss Rabbit decides to let Peppa and George go into the toy room as Mummy Pig is trying to encourage Daddy Pig to let go. I have no sympathy for Daddy Pig here, the lamp sucks! Peppa, George and Miss Rabbit enter the smaller toy room featuring toys and other trinket. Gerald is cosplaying his model airplane and Suzy Sheep is bouncing off a space hopper. Danny Dog has a goblin mask on and is enjoying himself. Sadly, Gerald is our geek of the week as he doesn't look where he is going and Danny and Gerald have a meeting of the minds. Sadly, I have no witty retort since the punchline would be that they aren't in the toy shop, when they are inside the toy shop. Miss Rabbit and Peppa have a wholesome moment as Miss Rabbit allows Peppa to play with Dollie one last time in the toy shop. Gerald thinks this is a great idea for all the toys as we break the ice with Suzy driving a model fire truck with Dollie. They do the siren sounds Freddy Fox does; but he is not in this episode, so Peppa will have to do. Gerald brings in the dragon and we gets giant stomps for a while. Danny brings out the purple and green ribbons on a stick, George is reading from his dinosaur book and Peppa has Dollie now. Somehow, they defeat the dragon with words, but here comes Suzy Goblin Sheep here to back up the heelish dragon. Everyone runs out of the toy room as Captain Dog is here with Mummy Zebra and the Zebra Twins. Mummy Giraffe in a rare appearance has a box of toys with her. Meanwhile, the kid are having fun and Daddy Pig is trying so hard to make me buy that this light is so important that it shouldn't be donated. What a dork?! There are three lanterns like it on the table of nowhere as Suzy Goblin has given up and Suzy proclaims that the troll has given up. I laughed and laughed and laughed some more. Then I howled with laughter because Suzy stops selling and everyone cheers victory, including Suzy! Peppa wants to play some more, but Mummy Pig proclaims that it's home time. Zuzu and Zaza of all kids feel sorrow for Peppa having to say goodbye to Dollie. This would have been better if Teddy was the doll to say goodbye. Peppa and George say goodbye to Dollie and the dinosaur book and put it on the shelf, for Zuzu and Zaza to buy, rendering the emotional goodbye pointless. Daddy Pig decides that this is the right thing to do and he gives his lantern to Miss Rabbit. Miss Rabbit puts it on the table as Zuzu and Zaza enjoy their toys, the Pig Family watches on as the narrator says it all to end the episode at 3:08. Fun episode due to Suzy admitting that she's a troll and watching Daddy Pig mourning over his lantern was comedy gold. The goodbyes were not as good though, so *** 1/2 (70%).

Mystery Hide Out: Short opens inside Peppa's bedroom as Peppa is dressed in ballet gear, flaming sunglasses, butterfly wings and welding the purple ribbon on a stick. She's doing a wacky magic show with juggling tiny balls, which two might or might not be Miz's. Peppa makes a blue/yellow dinosaur balloon for a while as the crowd is 99% plush toys and George Pig. Peppa brings out the top hat and wand to do the flourish as George leaves with a lamp that is there for no reason whatsoever, while turning out the lights. Peppa wonders where George is going, George doesn't answer. Next scene: Peppa is playing Carrot Catcher on her PeppaStation 5, which is probably more robust than PlayStation 5 and has better games than PlayStation 5. She's in the sitting room on the television with Goldie The Goldfish as George steals pillows and bails stage left. Narrator claims that George is being sneaky as Peppa sneaks out of the house into the garden and hides behind a bunch of flowers that couldn't hide Peppa if their lives depended on it. Luckly for Peppa, George don't care as he has his wagon of stuffed toys and Mr. Dine-e-saur. Peppa hides behind sunflowers as the kids are practicing the fine art of not being seen by each other, but Daddy Pig comes in to ruin the fun with a tray of tea and cups. Daddy Pig recoils and says hello to a sunflower as we cut to George taking his toys behind the bushes with a picture of himself in blue taped to the bushes. Peppa sees the picture of George and backs up and goes into said bushes to discover that George is making a secret room for himself to enjoy some privacy. Which of course Peppa invades it straight away. Peppa asks if she can play with him, George says no and handles a panda bear, whom he has a better relationship with than Peppa ever had with Teddy. Peppa is gravely offended by this and proclaims that she'll make a secret room that is better than George's. Cut to Mummy and Daddy Pig having tea at a table in the middle of the garden. Peppa is hiding underneath the table with her stuffed animals and she's really bossy today. Thankfully, the adults are pointing out that this isn't secretive, even Peppa had to agree with that at least. Jump cut to Peppa's bedroom as she puts her secret room underneath George's bed. What a troll?! Sadly, the place is too narrow to do anything of note, as the circus music which play when Daddy Pig gets dried off with towels is in evidence here I see. The blue balloon pops and Peppa decides to bail. Jump cut to the sitting room as Peppa declares this the most secret of secret rooms, while Mummy Pig is reading a book on the love seat. HAHA! Mummy Pig says it all and Peppa flops onto a pillow in disgust. Mummy Pig asks if the reason she's upset is because George won't play with her and she is going through all this trouble because of that. Peppa is like "no, of course not!" Even though her body language is basically "yes". Non-verbal cues are awesome. Mummy Pig reveals that George is growing older and wants to play more independently as Peppa finally understands and then bails to tell George something, leaving Mummy Pig to tidying up the room. Some things never change. Mummy Pig sits down and pops another blue balloon as Peppa goes to the bushes and knocks on the bushes. George comes out and Peppa issues the apology and then screws up the "big sister" part with George. George bails and Peppa is incensed, but George returns with a sign with Peppa and George together as George has forgiven her. Awwww! My heart melted. Peppa and George enter the hide out and have a good time as the narrator says it all to end the episode at 3:10. I admit, this was really fun and the ending was as it should be. *** 3/4 (75%).

Spooky Funhouse: Short opens outside a tent and a Halloween spooky bouncy castle with Mummy Pig cosplaying a mummy (oh, the irony?!), Peppa Pig is a witch (oh, the sick burn?!), Suzy is a vampire (oh, the daughter of Gigi?!), and Pedro F'N Pony is a cowboy. Ironically, the cowboy is not thrilled about this while the vampire and the witch are. Mummy Pig allows Pedro to sit this one out, but teamwork prevails over that. Pedro's cowboy mannerisms are still awkward as the kids enter the bouncy castle, while Mummy Pig acts all evil, so yes, I smell the return of evil Mummy Pig from an earlier Peppa Pig Tales episode. The kids go into the first room and yes they took their shoes off off-screen. It's a dark disco ball room and it's not so spooky...Oh wait, the bats on strings come out to spook Pedro a little tiny bit. Oh wait, a lot as Pedro bounces out into the next room. Did I mention that the bounce pads light up in different bright colors in a bouncy castle that it supposed to be Halloween themed?! Suzy and Peppa follow Pedro into the bouncy room with mirrors in the background. Suzy tries to inform Pedro that the bats are toys on strings, but Pedro doesn't respond and apparently he has been kidnapped because his glasses are on the floor. Okay, he wasn't kidnapped, he's just scared as Peppa and Suzy find him. I get that this is a pre-school show, but them being scared is so goofy. Pedro is panicky because he had no glasses on and Suzy and Peppa are legit witches and vampires to him. He orders them to stop, which if they were a legit witch and vampire, they would no sell and suck his blood and turn him into a frog legit in that order. Suzy hops in and puts Pedro's glasses on. Pedro is relieved and they decide to stick together despite doing that, but the bats scared Pedro off. Still, good idea. The kids amuse themselves with the mirrors while the narrator explains the obvious to us. The hourglass one was the most amusing to me at least. Then they go into the next room as the scare mode is on full blast with ghosts on strings, a model Mr. Dine-e-saur, lit pumpkin faces and the like. Pedro and Peppa are like, whatever, but now Suzy is backing up in fear. Peppa cuts her off and Pedro reminds her of what she said to him. Suzy is giggling because it's time to show the valor of this fake scary room. The three kids hold hands, count to three as Pedro's cowboy talk has gotten much better here. The kids race for their lives and make it to the fake fireplace as the kids declare that they won't be scared ever again, but in comes Mummy Pig (in more ways than one) with her pumpkin lantern which gives them a shock, but not much else. The kids giggle as Peppa hugs Mummy Pig, and Mummy Pig has a pumpkin basket of candy and lollipops. The kids take the lollipops, Pedro thanks Mummy Pig and the narrator says it all to end the episode at 3:06. Another fun episode in a series of them and Pedro's cowboy gimmick is growing on me even more now than it did in the mainline series. *** 1/2 (70%).

Electric Cars: Short opens with a rainbow robot spraypainting the car with rainbow spraypaint cans that turn into a blue/yellow taxi as demonstrated by Officer Panda. The crowd is in awe over this which is Mummy Pig, Daddy Pig, Mummy Elephant, Mummy Sheep, Captain Dog, Peppa Pig, George Pig, Edmond Elephant, Suzy Sheep and Danny Dog. Then the robot turns on Officer Panda and paints the car in rainbow colors as Panda tries to hide it. This fails so badly that everyone is amused as they go stage right. The narrator tells us that this is a car show. We see old cars and rocket drag race cars; before finally seeing electric cars, including the return of Roger! Roger is back, albeit in Peppa Pig Tales! I thought the AI scare would kill off this poor car. Miss Rabbit explains the cars while Edmond Elephant is literally jotting down notes on a notepad. Edmond then cuts a sciency pro-environmental promo. I don't care what he said, it amused me that he did this in a pre-school show. Miss Rabbit ponders this one over and then cuts a promo as Peppa is more amused at the race track with Mr. Bull riding a kart on his own. Peppa drags the family to the kart track. Mummy Pig wants to wait until the end of the promo, not that it matters since Edmond gaslit Miss Rabbit into explaining something no one in the audience cares about hearing. The rest are fine with this as Mr. Bull offers him green kart. George and Mummy Pig get into the green kart complete with seatbelts, while Daddy Pig and Peppa Pig get the red kart. Of course! It has to be the troll and the biggest geek in the show to be paired up. Oh wait, Peppa gets the red car, but Daddy Pig gets the purple car. Wait, isn't Peppa four years old?! Shouldn't you wait until you are at least eight years old if you are going to be a single kart racer?! Also, Peppa Pig drives her kart just fine, so what do I know?! The narrator explains the obvious for a while as the women are driving at a reasonable speed. Not Daddy Pig! Oh, no! He is speeding worse than his love for concrete. Where is Officer Grey Squirrel when you need her?! Where is Officer Panda for that matter?! This is clearly speeding. Suddenly, Daddy Pig cannot drive his car right. GEEK~! Peppa pushes buttons, yee-haw! Daddy Pig slows down, so his speeding was considered unintentional. Okay, then. I betcha Daddy Pig's car runs out of electrical power in the next thirty seconds. I check the video...Damn, I'm so good. Hey, at least it's not Edmond being a geek this week. That would be cruel. Mr. Bull explains to us what happened and then helps Daddy Pig over the battery recharging station to recharge the battery, which in real time takes thirty seconds, in Peppa Pig time, minutes. I cannot take Daddy Pig seriously complaining about the charge time when my Nintendo Switch takes four hours to fully recharge a battery. After the recharging and some amusement from the family, Daddy Pig unplugs and goes ever faster than before. Daddy Pig is our GEEK OF THE WEEK~! Peppa is instantly amused by this and so am I. Mr. Bull calls it time over and everyone makes it to the battery station without incident. Daddy Pig is happy as Peppa tugs on Miss Rabbit's coat. Peppa brings out coins because she wants to buy Roger the car. Mummy Pig comes in to make sure no deal is in place, so we'll play with the karts again as Daddy Pig is already having fun with them. The kids giggle as the family rejoins the kart race with the narrator saying it all to end the episode at 3:08. This was another fun episode with Edmond's promo being the biggest highligh and lowlight of the show. *** 1/2 (70%).

Halloween Mummies: Short opens during HAPPY HOUR as Peppa is dressed like a mummy, and does the zombie walk and makes blah noises. Then giggles as we get another Halloween party, this time using the party bus. There is simulated thunderstorms, muddy puddles and Mummy Pig heading to the decorated party bus. The adults are inside the decorated party bus. They are Mr. Rabbit, Mummy Rabbit, Miss Rabbit, Mummy Giraffe, Mummy Sheep and Granddad Dog. Miss Rabbit welcomes Peppa and Mummy Pig as a witch. Miss Rabbit proclaims that Peppa's costume is popular this year as Mummy Pig is confused. Peppa introduces herself and we see Danny Dog, Rebecca Rabbit, Suzy Sheep and Gerald Giraffe all dressed up like mummies. Har har! At least Danny Dog had enough sense to use different colored tape for the costume compared to the other mummies, so that accounts for something. Peppa thinks Suzy Sheep is Danny Dog while claiming Suzy wanted to be a ghost. Everyone accuses the mummies that being mummies was a better idea. Mummy Pig realizes that everyone was in crunch time and Rebecca Rabbit sheds a tear during this. Then somehow, Miss Rabbit bonks into Danny Dog while carrying a pumpkin with a witch's hat on, and the hat lands on Danny Dog's head. Peppa takes the hat and sees a giant pumpkin with a face wearing another witch's hat. Peppa gets inspired and says that this could still be a great party. Personally, a bunch of mummies on their own is amusing enough, but whatever. Peppa jumps onto the green seats as the disco ball comes down. Peppa sings the TEDDY RUXPIN SONG OF DOOM to kill time in a three minute episode. Peppa puts some bat wings on her back to scare Mummy Pig and Mummy Sheep. Some dancing occurs as Peppa has a broom. Peppa then hides behind pumpkins and then wears a pumpkin face on her head. Yes, a roll of toilet paper gets involved as all the stuff needed to create makeshift costumes are placed on the floor. Peppa becomes a mummy creature (since Frankenstein is the monster doctor, not the monster...uhh...monster), Suzy is the mummy witch, Rebecca becomes the mummy pumpkin face, since carrot face isn't in evidence. Gerald is the mummy bat and Danny Dog is the mummy dog. More dancing and singing as they make Danny Dog as large as an adult's tummy with toilet paper. The party bus bounces with glee on the outside shot as everyone is having a good time while the song officially ends. Mummy Pig praises Peppa for her great idea, and it was a clever idea. Maybe it's time to leave the costume choices to the kids, since they don't have the crunch problem the parents seem to have. Peppa thanks Mummy Pig for the praise while totally in monster character. Hee hee! Then Emily Elephant shows up in formal gear with a purse. Okay, that is the most creative Halloween costume ever! She's dressed up as Mummy....Mummy Elephant! HAHA! Everyone dances as the narrator says it all to end the episode at 3:07. The mummies have taken over the party bus and I loved every second of it. **** 1/2 (90%).

Fridgey Friend: Short opens inside a major department store with Doctor Pony, Pedro F'N Pony, and Daddy Zebra are shopping for household items. In comes Mummy Pig, Daddy Pig, Peppa Pig and George Pig as the family is looking for a new mixer. I'm suddenly having flashbacks of replacing fridges and freezers after deciding that wearing them out until they cannot be used no more was a great choice. Considering that my computer is 13 years old already, I better watch out soon because robustness doesn't mean forever, like vast doesn't equal infinite, which means "I don't know what the number is." At least to me nowadays. Peppa opens a fridge and says hello to it, which is amusing enough. Except the fridge can actually speak. Listen, I have watched Dora The Explorer enough times to know that this is ficition and not some creepy attempt to foist AI on me. I have gotten over this stupid thing, so let's exchange notes for a while. The voice is clearly Miss Rabbit with a robotic voice. The fridge doesn't have a name, so Peppa officially calls it *SNORT*. HAHA! Peppa didn't mean to do that, but oops, too late. The fridge's name is *SNORT*! I knew those spieces noises would cause trouble someday. Oh wait...Peppa mispronounces the name as "oink", despite snorting. Apparently, the snorting is not of Peppa's own free will. That's distressing. Peppa plays with the touch screen for a while. I'm just waiting for the fridge alarm to go off, just to make me relate to this fridge like that one. Mummy Pig cannot decide which mixer to get, so she's have weightlifting issues. Miss Rabbit is demonstrating carmel candy floss in a wok pan with George watching on with glee. Hey, I can get behind George's excitement here as George nods his head down and gets candy floss all over his head. HAHA! The lights in the background turn on and off. She'll give them one of theses and one of thoses. But what is the light's name?! It's *SNORT*! Peppa is giving one of theses and one of thoses. And a lot of dancing, don't forget that. They exchange notes again because this is the most amazing fridge ever. Geez, it's like Baloo loving the SeaDuck way too much. Peppa wants a drink, and even in technology, the machine demands you say "please". HAHA! Peppa drinks a glass of water as Peppa asks for it to do the dishes. No, Kit; you are not getting this fridge. Deal with it. It also washes clothes and gives George a dine-e-saur ice lolly. Does it do Windows?! Inquiring minds would love to know. Miss Rabbit comes over to do the hard sell and Daddy Pig likes it. However, he sees the price tag we don't see and it's too steep. Yup, the old fridge is not broken enough to replace and *SNORT* has the 0.9 Rock Lobster Yeti frowny face on. *SNORT* wants to be best friends forever with Peppa. Corporate greed can suck Sonny Siaski's ass! Peppa and George are frowning in stereo as *SNORT* cuts a promo that is so broken up, it's likely glitching itself in sadness. Mummy Pig decides to get the mixer and actually explains why they are here for the mixer. We invoke the FLASHBACK OF DOOM and the mixer just breaks just like that. They didn't even do anything and it still broke. SUZY SHEEP~?! Miss Rabbit has what they are looking for as we return back to the kitchen as Peppa is cosplaying talking to a fridge that cannot talk. HAHA! Mummy Pig picked out a mixer that talks. Of course! What a fool I am?! It's name is Oink and everyone is happy as the narrator says it all to end the episode at 3:14. This was really fun, mostly due to Peppa really loving talking to a fridge. I want to see Nintendo's Alarmo do that! **** 1/4 (85%).

Sick Day: Short opens with Mummy Pig looking pale with a really red nose in her bed sneezing. In comes Daddy Pig, Peppa and George Pig cosplaying nurses as Mummy Pig has a cold. Yes, they annoy some people by saying "bless you" instead of "cover your mouth", which would be more reasonable. Mummy Pig says thank you as Peppa wants to take her temperture with this thermometer as Mummy Pig cautions everyone to be careful because this cold might be catching. Daddy Pig channels Doctor Brown Bear saying that he never gets ill. I don't know, being dumb could be considered an illness of the brain, if you know what I mean. Mummy Pig's temperture is very high as the thermometer has a dye that changes color with the rising temperture. Mummy Pig has a fever which the narrator ignores. Mummy Pig sneezes the thermometer out on cue as George brings in the kleenex for the save, but gets sneezed on and somehow, George starts sneezing. Uh-oh, indeed! This cold might be COVID-19 for all we know. George is put in bed by Daddy Pig as George starts getting worse and looking like Mummy Pig with the magic of a jump cut. Peppa and Daddy Pig use tongs to put bags of frozen peas on their heads and that causes the peas to spill out on the bed. Peppa smartens up by wearing a mask while throwing oranges for Mummy Pig to juggle while George has soup and maybe tea on the tray. Mummy's juggling is terrible, although understandable since they are ill. Then Daddy Pig and Peppa Pig come in with lots of boxes of tissues. Peppa tells Daddy Pig to be careful, and Daddy Pig acts like this is impossible now. Geez, methinks Daddy Pig's claim of never being ill is very sus. On the other paw, at least he's willing to be more careful and humble than Doctor Brown Bear. Peppa uses the "tissue train" to aid this problem, as it's the toy train set with tissue boxes on top. George and Mummy Pig grab tissue box and we get at least five jump cuts of them sneezing and filling the wastepaper basket which is conveniently placed and Daddy Pig comes in with glee asking if they are better. You troll!! George rightfully bawls on cue, he is not well. Daddy Pig takes it as a no as well as Peppa brings in Mr. Dine-e-saur to keep George company complete with nurse's hat. How very interesting. George sneezes at Peppa and Peppa sneezes back! I can hear the disease promoters laughing all the way to the bank and probably spread their germs on them as we speak. Peppa proves that masks don't work, they'll say! Peppa is so panicky that she pronounces nurse as durse. Peppa Pig is put in the same bed as the finish has to be Daddy Pig getting sick because we have to make the one guy who submits to arrogance look like the GEEK OF THE WEEK~! Daddy Pig turns out the lights and puts a laptop on a table so they can watch a movie. Daddy Pig is so cocky that he finally sneezes just as I predicted. Oh come on, now! I betcha he did that because he wanted to watch the movie with them. Of course, that would imply that Daddy Pig is a troll and not dumb. The rest of the family is amused by this as Daddy Pig joins in, shares an orange as the narrator says it all to end the episode at 3:11. This was an okay episode with the usual cocky guy gets humbled finish. *** 1/4 (65%).

THE REVIEW LINE

Well, a very good set of shorts this time around as only Sick Day was less than *** 1/2. Fridgey Friend was a really amusing episode as Peppa's interaction with a talking fridge wouldn't look out of place in a Dora The Explorer episode. Peppa commanding the fridge to do spots was also great. Halloween Mummies was fantastic as it was everyone being a mummy, including the mummies and the finish with Emily Elephant paid off the joke perfectly. Pasta Bar was also great with Suzy playing the most kindest Karen of all time and getting schooled while not losing any face in the whole ordeal and seeing the Polar Bear family finally reunite for the first time on Peppa Pig Tales! The rest were fun and this was a much better experience on the whole than the last rant where most of the episode was fine, but felt a bit flat to me. Next up is Peppa Pig Tales #25 and nearing 200 episodes to boot! So...

Thumbs up for Pasta Bar, Fridgey Friend and Halloween Mummies. Thumbs in the middle for the rest, and I'll see you all next time.
