Tasty Paste

Reviewed: 04/24/2011

From Now On; We'll Only Do Live Action Tasty Paste Shows!

Welcome kiddies to the 2011 edition of Easter Sadism as I return to one of the worst series in all of DTVA. No; it's not Fluppy Dogs, I already ranted on that one for the Fathers Day specials. It's back to Quack Pack and those “push the crappy button” nephews. Unlike the last time when I was ranting on the DVD; this time I'll be picking what I believe are the worst episodes in Quack Pack history. Think of this as the Disney version of the Agony Booth; but without the HD pictures. Our final victim is the unofficial debut of Grumps himself as the nephews create a toxic substance to consume. As if they weren't toxic already by themselves. So; let's rant on shall we...?!

This episode is written by Steve Roberts (the same one who wrote a ***** episode known as Bullethead Baloo). The story is edited by Douglas Langsdale. Unlike the last two; I do know who animated this episode: Walt Disney Animation OZ and Toonz Animation Limited. I don't think Toonz is related to Toon City Animation though.

Opening Moment #1: Today's title card is a ice cream bucket filled of green slime. Since when did Disney ever own You Cannot Do That On Television? And why couldn't they follow the show title's advice for this show?

We begin this one with a third person FPS shot of a blue armored man with a blue helmet red visor outfit walk through a hallway like a robot. Oh and he's armed with a laser gun as he goes into a big room as the grizzly male announcer proclaims that there is family fun and blood thirsty (4Kids would likely call it plasma thirsty) war games are to be had at the Quesar Laser Arena. We then cut to inside a wooden room as the nephews watch on with glee as Dewey states that Donald is taking them there to play. Okay; I would like to know why Donald would be so into Laser Tag now? First it's renting anime like Ninja Lumberjacks and now Laser Tag? Did someone slip IQ reducing pills in his drink in between episodes? Huey claims that Donald would likely forget again as Louie thinks Donald promised them....

And so we logically scene change and the nephews whine that Donald promised as Donald (wearing formal gear) apologizes along with Daisy because Donald promised to take Daisy out for a date. BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! This episode deserves * for that spot alone. I doubt Donald forgot; I betcha Donald was RELIEVED when Daisy got time off for work today. After all; better a date with the most over character in the series than deal with the worst characters in the series. The nephews mope in unison and Daisy tells Donald to do something. So Donald gives them money and the nephews smile on cue when they take it. Donald wants to leave; but Daisy proclaims that money won't solve this. So Donald takes the money back and the dates walk out. HAHA! So we head to Gwump's (and so much for the quality episode) as we see the nephews sitting at a window seat burping their root beer and hamburgers. Gwumps comes in with the bill which is $300; and of course the nephews have no money. So let me get this straight; the nephews came into Gwump's WITHOUT money? How stupid do you have to be to make THAT mistake? Oh wait; the Wuzzles in the very last episode of that series, my mistake. Of course; I find out why as Huey wants it put on his tab. I was hoping he would say to put it on his bill; just to see if Gwumps is stupid enough to pin it on Huey's duck bill kisser.

Gwumps of course points out that the tab is already $650. No wonder this guy gets zero customers; his burgers and drinks cost $50 each. At least. How stupid do you have to be to price it that high? So Huey tells him that $3 shouldn't make much difference. So let me get this straight: $650 means $6.50 in racist-Broken English to English speak? Oh lord; why do you test me so? So Gwumps sells it and erases the tab and walks off. Dammit! I was hoping he no sells and makes the nephews work; they needed to be reminded of their Ducktales counterparts in Down & Out In Duckberg. Anyhow; being broke munches which of course is BS&P version of sucks. Huey wants some shuteye which they can afford; and before Huey can go to sleep, Gwumps arrives with a bucket of green slime. HAHA! Huey does not like that at all as Gwumps explains that it's his secret recipe. I should point out that breakfast is breaking the fast according to Gwumps which is the most enlightened thing he has ever said I should point out. He scoops the green slime into bowls and the nephews naturally refuse to eat it. So Gwumps bribes them $3 and the nephews sell. Yeah; they bought Gwumps broken English hook, line and sinker over that. Huey counts the money; and decides to spoon and eat on the three count and Louie eats it; but the other nephews do not as they blow off Louie for falling for it. Thankfully; it was Dewey saying that, or Huey would be projecting. Damn you Steve Roberts. Give me something to mock here. Louie then realizes that this paste is tasty. Well; they don't call it Tasty Paste for nothing you know. Huey and Dewey are shocked and then they taste it and they love it as Huey calls his taste buds doing the fandango. So they ask Gwumps if he would sell the recipe to them for $3. If he buys this hook, line and sinker than this episode is racist. I check the Youtube video....DAMN YOU STEVE ROBERTS~!

The nephews take the recipe and they run out proclaiming that they are in business. Scene changer of doom as it is BEFORE HAPPY HOUR (sunset) as we see the nephews on the sidewalk with their booth filled with buckets of green slime looking bored as hell. No customers showed up at all. Maybe it's because they want lemonade instead of green slime that tastes better than lemonade. Have you ever thought that maybe they want something good enough instead of something that tastes perverted? Daisy arrives asking what is wrong and the nephews explain that no one wants to buy their Tasty Paste. Daisy offers two dollars and wants to be the first customer. So the nephews accept and give her the bucket of green slime. Daisy is somewhat repulsed by the color; so she spoons up and eats it. And then we see her on the next shot; slobbering and dunking her head into the stuff. WHAT THE HELL? Was BS&P asleep at the wheel or something? I thought BS&P was against such a thing? Even more so when it's enlightened Daisy we are talking about? So Daisy slobbers and proclaims that they need advertising and offers airtime on her show What In The World in exchange for all the Tasty Paste she can eat. Oy vey Daisy. You can guess the nephews' response to that offer.

So we logically go to the AD OF DOOM which is basically a rap song. OH MY GOD! If you thought the new Disney's singing was bad; I believe THIS is the song that gave birth to the Quackstreet Boys in House of Mouse. Please don't remind me of that, please. My brain cells fry enough as it is. The disclaimer in the end was more interesting than the actual ad itself as it ends with a splat. So we REPEAT THE SEQUENCE as the nephews proclaim that the ad didn't work. Before I can say the obvious retort to that; the cars all line up and about three dozen cars block the streets. The nephews of course slap skin because they finally hit the big time. So without any buildup or context whatsoever; we get street corners selling Tasty Paste and the KFC resturant dead ringer selling the toxic stuff.

We head into the store as the nephews arrive showing off their limited menu of Tasty Paste flavors. So if you are looking for something that doesn't have Tasty Paste in it; look elsewhere. Diversity is not in the nephews train of thought. It shows when they are wearing the same outfits. Oh; and did I mention that Kit Cloudkicker would NOT be caught dead in that outfit either. Did I mention that they are wearing Tasty Paste buckets on their heads? The customers want Tasty Paste though as the dollars get fisted and dollars fly in a black background as the nephews run in the money, run in the money. Run in the money; they cannot be anymore heartless!! Yeah; it doesn't rhyme. However; he's the problem with this: The nephews are completely unlikable to start with so this doesn't advance their character in any way. It just reinforces how disgusting these nephews are. If it was Kit and Molly doing this; this would have been great since Kit and Molly are likable and it shows how easy it is to corrupt children into a different way of thinking. This is something the writers; or more to the point the creators didn't take into consideration and it's repeated in almost every episode. Then they are surprised that Quack Pack lasted only 39 episodes. By the time the proper plots that could have helped them arrive; it was too late.

So we get the high rise money spot and then the spinning newspaper of doom just to make sure they dead ring TaleSpin (I would be insulted if this episode was trying to mimic TaleSpin in any way; but they are not) as Pastemania is running wild. I'm SHOCKED Hulk Hogan didn't just make THAT instead since Pastemania is just a version of Hogan's Pastamania cooking ads. Boy; that got the Internet Wrestling Community rolling on the floor laughing for a few hours at least. More newspaper spinning (and man; the animators aren't even bothering to give the newspapers a sense of mass) as in a golden rule of really bad Quack Pack episodes; when in doubt, throw in a space alien. In this case a twin headed Elvis space alien. Still better than the alien from Ducks By Nature though. Oh; and we also get the Tasty Paste Movie too. Yeah; it's a western, a horror picture (BS&P alert: The suspense is actually dripping blood which has to be the first time in DTVA history that has happened. Although blood was introduced with Rescue Rangers in 1989, fake blood in TaleSpin in 1991, and Gargoyles with Goliath's stabbed hand in 1994) and a chick flick all rolled into one. Also; we see a pistol and chainsaw too which Square cut out in Secret of Mana in 1993; but brought back in Final Fantasy III USA.

So we return to reality (no, not really) as the longest limo in history arrives OUT OF NOWHERE (much like this entire build up) and out comes the nephews along with Donald as they show Donald a mansion which they bought with their own money. And now Donald is PISSED off...and still wearing his formal gear for goodness knows what reason. I thought the date was already over. Of course; the nephews assure him that they bought it for him. Doesn't this contradict the whole point of them being heartless bastards? Whatever... Oh wait; the nephews bought a more exciting compound on the right pan shot. So they are still heartless bastards. Donald pets Huey on the head for fun as we head inside the nephews' game room as Donald wants to take the nephews out to play Laser Tag now. Out comes Dewey in a business suit and briefcase as he blows that suggestion off because he has to inspect the Tasty Paste factory. Oh and the limo has turned blue for some reason as it speeds off with Dewey in it. I think the animators have forgotten that Donald's date is OVER and he can wear the Hawaiian shirt again. Then Louie comes out with the same matching outfit; but he does get to wear the green baseball cap. So; I'm guessing that the nephews can be informal; but the staff can not. Donald claims that the nephews promised; but Louie proclaims that time is money as we finally get logic break #1 for the episode as the green helicopter appears OUT OF NOWHERE and hopefully for us; it goes the same place when it leaves. Wow; it took nearly seven minutes for Steve to screw up.

Then things get really silly as Huey leaves in a NASA spaceship since he bought Europe. Whatever Huey; no one cares. Logic break #2 for the episode as we finally start flushing the episode down the crapper. Donald sulks as we head to the bedroom with the nephews in their normal clothes (huh? Does that make any sense?) as Donald (in his regular clothes at last) filming them while Daisy is interviewing them for the What In The World television segment. Or would be; if she wasn't turning into the 1950's Daisy Duck we all hate as she is still stuffing her face in buckets of Tasty Paste and getting to Hoppo's weight. Oh god; I wish stupidity was terminally painful. She finally gets her cue and we get the interview as the nephews proclaims that the success has not changed them one bit. Normally; this would be lying through their teeth; but since they are unlikable to the core to start with, it's a real comment that isn't supposed to be a real comment. Sadly; one of their execs pushes Daisy away because the nephews are out of time as we get logic break #4 for the episode as they magically change the scene and are back into their suits again.

Donald protests this outrage as the nephews walk out on their uncle and Daisy wants this all on tape. However; the bouncer exec invokes the LEGAL HAND OF GOD to prevent that. So the exec asks if he should let the dogs out; but the nephews show mercy because What In The World has been bought by the nephews and they will only do Tasty Paste related stories. Sounds a lot like Nintendo Power eh? Daisy is pissed off of how the nephews have changed and the nephews proclaim that they have not. The only difference is the nephews aren't hiding the facade anymore. Oh and they cut Daisy's pay in half just to piss her and me off. So Daisy quits as she throws the microphone down; and she takes Donald out as well. Huey fires them of course as Louie points out that they are heartless greedy villains only interested in money. As opposed to being heartless greedy babyfaces only interested in girls & money? At least with the QP nephews as heels; it's only slightly worse than the DT nephews as heels in Duck To The Future which is what this episode dead rings. Boy; if Eisner wasn't such a doofus when it came to conspiracy theories; he would make TaleSpin into a dead ringer to Top Gun. Unless Eisner was afraid that it would be BETTER than TaleSpin. I doubt that seriously; but maybe Eisner was afraid it would come too close for his liking.

Anyhow; moving right along we see the nephews sit down in their seat in front of the big ass television and they use the remote to turn it on as we see a dork who might be Professor Norton Nimul's father on the screen against a red background. The nephews address him as Professor Craftsworth (Voiced by Matt Frewer in case you ask) as Craftsworth shows them a video of the orientation of being a Tasty Paste employee. I should point out another corporate dig of being conditioned to consume as much Tasty Paste as humanly possible. Craftsworth does make me laugh by firing everyone BEFORE the video is over and does a really silly laugh in the process. I betcha that is enough to get Craftsworth fired on the spot because his purpose has been served. I check the Youtube video....Damn; I'm good. Craftsworth shouldn't be surprised that the nephews pushed the red button there in unison. After all; unless you push the crappy button every chance you get in Quack Pack: YOU'RE FIRED~! Ask Jymn Magon about it. Dewey proclaims that there would have been a time where I felt sorry for him. Yeah; when you were a Ducktales character. Anyhow; we head outside the factory as a robot slam ducks Craftsworth into the dumpster with a MAN-SIZED bump. That is the best spot I have seen in this episode I should point out. I'm sure that robot will be dismembered by the nephews when they find out about it too. Craftsworth pops up from the carnage as he calls them swine ducks and revenge is his. Please save some for me Craftsworth. It's for the good of DTVA dammit! That ends the segment ten minutes in.

After the commercial break; we head to a shot of the Tasty Paste headquarters as we zoom down to the ground and then head into headquarters office as the nephews are counting the MONEY, MONEY, YEAH, YEAH. The nephews ponder about doing something fun as the bouncer on transmitter informs them that Donald Duck is here to see them. The nephews obvious had little idea who he is; but he gets sent in as Donald storms in with Quesar Laser Tag gear. He wants to play with them; but the nephews no sell because they bought that company out too. It made good profits too as Donald un-pops the helmet and admits that he misses them. The nephews actually show some sympathy for him and Dewey calls him uncle Ronald. That's actually the first lie they have spewed in this episode. Donald is pissed off on that one as Huey proclaims that they cannot; but Donald can play with....wait for it...We pan over to the stage as the curtain opens and they are “former child stars” with matching nephews gear, beaks and webfeet. They all suck by the way in the acting department which is fine since that's what the nephews want. They push the crappy button better than the nephews do. Glad to see someone is paying attention to detail here. Donald scratches his head over that one. He's as confused as Juan F. Lara is with that gag. Cannot say I blame them. Huey of course calls Donald Ronald as Donald will never be lonely again with his surrogate nephews as they march forward greeting their new father. For a half a million dollars; I say go into the poor house and take your chances. It's DONALD we are talking about here.

The nephews gleefully ignore Donald's pleas for mercy as Donald backs up from the stalking “former child star” nephews into a conviently placed planted tree. And then Donald runs through and does the Scooby Doo Snow Angel Spot through the door which I hate so much. The nephews blow off Donald for thinking that this can be fixed with cash. Yeah; this is Duck To The Future; when it's beaten with the suck stick about a million times. Seen of course by Barney O'Turret of course. So we logically head to the Tasty Paste factory on a DARK AND STORMY NIGHT. We then cut down to Craftsworth dressed up as the Phantom Blot picking the lock off the factory door as we head inside the factory which is still running without anyone present whatsoever (rendering the orientation video pointless) as PB Craftsworth practices the fine art of not being seen. Craftsworth makes it to lever (WRONG LEVER!) and blows his cover and cuts a promo. Why bother? We know it's you Craftsworth. Now I know where the jackhammering for future cartoons began: This show. He pushes the lever (WRONG LEVER!) to super fast and that triggers the red alarm siren. Huh? The nephews actually remembered to build a security system into the machine; but not the rest of the place? That's really selective cheapness there guys. This episode really munches..ERRRR...I mean sucks.

We speed up the process as Craftsworth proclaims that revenge is sweet. Sadly; this turns Craftsworth into the biggest babyface of the entire episode by default. Donald's a tweener; the nephews are heels and Daisy is herself back in the 1950's when unnamed writers had huge issues with women in general. Doesn't leave much for us to work with. I guess Kent Powers was fired as well; which is never mentioned, but that would make sense since Kent HATES the nephews more than Donald himself which makes him a babyface by default. We stuff the conveyer belt and explode as Craftsworth turns the WHEEL OF MORALITY and cuts another promo and tries to destroy the machinery. The blob continues to grow and grow as a thunderbolt hits the conveniently placed opened window (logic break #...Ah; who gives a crap?) into the blob and it's ALIVE..IT'S ALIVE~! I called that one the moment Craftsworth was sneaking around I should point out. Craftsworth gets the LIGHTBULB OF BLOODY CLAIRTY and bails stage right with his fake hair piece like a scalded dog. Needless to say; Craftsworth proclaims that Tasty Paste will destroy us all. I think this episode has already done that sir as the Paste Blob of Doom breaks off a prop from the roof and puts it on his head. So now we have turned into a Ghostbusters episode; if it's done by Filmination and with Gunther as the head writer.

Anyhow; it's now AFTER HAPPY HOUR (after dark) as we return to headquarters or the nephew's mansion as the nephews are watching television on their big ass television which looks quite reasonable today. You can tell the animation is turning crappy when the animators don't even bother to try mature lighting anymore. Then again; there is that TaleSpin bias in me. They are watching a western as the nephews in suits turn change the channel and What In The World is doing a Tasty Paste story on the blob destroying the city. HAHA! Finally someone paid off the corporate dig on doing only Tasty Paste stories. Huey yawns as he switches channel and the announcer proclaims that there is an angry blood thirsty mob outside the Tasty Paste headquarters as the nephews finally get it as they go to the window and they are seriously screwed up now. Did I mention that Craftsworth is a dead ringer to another villain in the same series under the episode “The Germinator” and that the blob has been recycled about ten times in this series already? Oh; and we see the angry mob with torches. See; if this took place in the human world in 1996; there would be protestors; but there would also be police officers. Of course; the nephews forgot to buy the police force which would have paid off the corporate digs continuity that they were shooting for...Oh wait; never mind.

Then the nephews literally push the crappy button....Oh wait; they pushed the red button to fortify the headquarters and block the windows with steel (and add red lights). My mistake as usual. The nephews realize that they made this mess and they must do something. Louie wants to skip the country; but Huey's Krackpotkin plan is to throw money at it. No really; I'm as SHOCKED as you are. So we segue the dollar and see the blob monster crushing a car. Jeepers guys; you can do better than that. That blob must be from the FOWL line of monster crushing traps. AHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! More stomping as the nephews arrive with their briefcase and invoke the HAND OF GOD to stop the slimy foot. Huey opens the briefcase and offers one billion dollars to go to another country. I hope this blob monster refuses because that would make him the smartest thing in the entire episode. And he eats the briefcase and slimes Huey. HAHA! How sad it must be when the Quack Pack nephews cannot even buy someone off to get them to be crappy. So the nephews bail like the cowards they are and it's the SCOOBY DOO CHASE SEQUENCE THE SMART GREEN BLOB EDITION~!

The nephews hide into the alleyway as the blob crushes some trashcans. How sad is it when the RUBBER DUCKIE BALL OF MINI DESTRUCTION couldn't crush a trashcan? Steelbeak must BE JEALOUS! CHOMP! OUCH! Ummmm... Dewey proclaims that Donald was right in money cannot fix everything. I beg to differ. Money did fix this because I want this Duckberg to die so the Ducktales Duckberg can come back in it's full bloom. Then the nephews get an idea to have Donald help them which leads to the ultra stupid Tasty Paste Mobile which the nephews hop into and drive away. For those who thought Phineas and Ferb driving a race car was immoral.....Well; explain that spot for me?! Anyhow; we head to Donald's house as Donald is looking at his photo scrap book and just being plain miserable. I don't think the nephews will have any trouble conning Donald into their good graces in this one. Which actually improves Gunther's version of I Only Have Ice For You spot in Obsession For Kick. The door bell rings and in storms the nephews as we get the embrace of contriveness...and then the nephews plead for Donald's help as there is a blob destroying the city. Donald asks what blob and the nephews point to the television showing the blob doing little destruction whatsoever. Dewey pleads that the nephews have learned their lesson. Why bother with this when Donald CLEARLY wanted the nephews to come back? This would have been a lot more convincing if Donald DIDN'T miss them. There goes any chance for this episode to go past DUD now.

Donald of course accepts without as much as a slight rethink as he goes to the closet and gets out the Quesar gear and laser guns. Damn; I knew those things would get involved somehow. The nephews point out they are just toys as Donald takes out a laser as he has modded the lasers as he shoots and destroys one of the walls in his house. That pretty much gives away the ending in advance too as Donald wants to kick paste which ends the segment nearly 17 and a half minutes in. We're almost done this year's Easter Sadism, just five more minutes to go....

After the commercial break; we head into the city as the mob is running away from the blob natch. We cut to the blob eating the crushed cars for fun. And naturally here comes Donald and the nephews in Quesar gear and their Tasty Paste Mobile. Well; at least it won't end like Feats Of Clay did. At least I hope it doesn't. We get the Quad Laser of Death as the slime explodes and the babyfaces get slime on themselves. Now you know how every character on You Cannot Do That On Television feels when they say “I don't know”. SLOOPH! EWWWWWWWW! Ummmmmm.... Oh did I mention that the eight small blobs it results and then turns into a big one ; is actually lifted from half of the episodes featuring said blob in Quack Pack? Donald's laughing and then recoil was funnier as the babyface retreat into the Paste Mobile. I have a bad feeling that the Paste Mobile will soon become a nicer way of saying retard very soon. Did I mention that the mobile has turned into a tank now? So they ride for a while and after a nephew asks where they are headed; they crash with a MAN-SIZED bump into the brick wall in a dead end alley. Whatever. A nephew gets blown off for his driving skills (which are worse than the Wuzzles natch) as the blob makes it to city hall. The nephews ponder their options and Huey runs off to the factory and wants Donald and the other nephews to lure him there. Donald wonders how to do that and the nephews get inspired because it's....wait for it....blind date time. Donald doesn't like this at all and I don't blame him. Why can't HUEY be the blind date? He's the sexist pig of the trio; why not use him so he learn something about being a stereotypical girl....Oh wait; never mind.

Scene changer of doom as we see the blob positioning himself for the kill and we hear Donald whistling to him as we see Donald dressed up like a cross of Daisy and Shirly Loon from Tiny Toons wearing a bucket of Tasty Paste as armor. OH....MY......GOD! Daisy better NOT show up now. The blob is in love (what a shock?) as the nephews run away in disgust. Oh TAG guys! It was YOUR idea you bastards! Donald bails before getting kissed as we see the nephews and Donald running. Man; it seems sped up when Donald runs; but at normal speed when the nephews run. So we head to the factory of course (at least they kept continuity by having the monster's Scooby Doo Snow Angel spot still there) as we head inside with Huey dabbing at the controls. The babyfaces all run in along with the monster as Louie blows Huey off for wanting to make more Tasty Paste. Huey tells him to trust him. Riiiiiiggggghhhhttttt. Most adults in the TALESPIN world are more trustworthy than this loser. And Huey's a CHILD. Huey is at the lever (WRONG LEVER!) which is at medium now (Huey probably switched it beforehand so no logic break) as Huey wants it to come closer. We wait for quite a while.....as the monster growls...and Huey yells now...and the lever breaks. HAHA! You know you are screwed when THAT happens. I sense you get the idea that this is a dream now eh?

Oh and to break logic; Donald screams ooops in the audio; but it's LOUIE visually saying it! Wow; that proves Toonz is animating this part. I'm amazed that the animation quality didn't drop THIS low throughout. Huey claims that he has a backup plan so he pounds and kicks the machine. Yeah; because THAT will make the machine work the way you want it eh. And it apparently works as the machine shakes around and we have the pipe vacuum cleaner of doom sucking up everything. Sorry; Ron Sparks is NOT going to waste his material on this episode because even this episode sucks less than Shaun Desmond. How bad do you have to be when you suck LESS than Shaun Desmond?! Oh and the monster gets sucked up of course without any further incident or fanfare. Sigh. So we head back to the nephews room as the nephews all sulk about it taking their entire fortune to clean up the mess that they made as a result of Craftsworth's justified hate for them. Whatever; who gives a crap? The nephews hold hands as they still have each other and then the entire roof of the house breaks and here comes the blob monster again as the HAND OF GOO extends to the screen and I betcha the nephews wake up right in Gwumps' cafe. I check the Youtube video......Dammit! Why? The episode should have been over and it should have ended with Donald offering to go to Quesar Laser Tag right there; not show as the obvious dream sequence in full bloom. WHAT THE HELL WAS THE POINT OF THAT? The resolution made SENSE. Oh wait; this is Quack Pack and like Darkwing Duck we have Cartoon Duck Syndrome. And people are SHOCKED when I say that I rather watch Kick Buttowski and/or Fish Hooks than this crap.

Anyhow; Huey tells the nephews that money isn't as cracked up as it should be and the nephews are in shock. Why bother with this? Then Donald and Daisy come in (with formal gear) admitting that Donald felt bad about screwing the nephews. Donald gets ribbed and Donald recoils and apologizes. See; this would have made a lot more sense if it wasn't a dream and Donald did the apology after the nephews did their hand embrace instead of doing a nonsense green blob ripping the roof off spot. So Daisy tells them that instead of a regular date; they can all play Quesar Laser Tag. The nephews call Donald the best as Gwumps comes in with his bowl of Tasty Paste (Another reason why they shouldn't have done the dream finish) and Huey predictability runs away. Daisy grabs the bowl and decides to try it out. And of course because Steve Roberts is a sexist pig; Daisy pigs out on the bucket after tasting it of course. Oh; for the love of life Steve! You must be that unnamed comic book writer who did those 1950's Daisy Duck comics. Well; at least she didn't sob like a baby this time so it's a slight improvement. So; the woman's movement is set back only three months tops. She offers Gwumps' arm because this stuff is going to make them rich. That closeup shot of Daisy ends Easter Sadism 2011 at 21:12. Who needs talent when you got Michael Eisner in your back pocket? This rates 3.9 Cuckoo. - ** (-40%).

THE REVIEW LINE

Okay; this was the best episode of the Easter Sadism 2011 as this one actually had half decent animation (Toonz did better than I thought they would), few logic breaks and a funny character in Craftsworth. Still; the whole digs on corporate America would have been better if the nephews were as likable as Kit Cloudkicker because it would have been more effective in showing just how low they could be. Instead it merely reinforced the nephews for what I have known beforehand. Then there is the lifting the plotline from Duck To The Future which was the much better episode and this only reminded me what happens when the suck stick is used to beat up that episode from Ducktales. Also they ripped off whole sale; Craftsworth's character design from Germinator and also the blob was uncreative and it's attacked lifted from previous Quack Pack episodes which I'm sure were actually better than this one; albeit not saying much. Then there's Daisy turning into a fat pig which turned me off and none of the gags catch from the sub nephews. To sum it up: The nephews when they are at their worst.

So that ends Easter Sadism 2011 and I plan to do three more Quack Pack episodes next year. Although this time they will be at random rather than the worst. So next up is Legend of Earth Troll and Parasite Fright for Fish Hooks before I take May and half of June off. I return in mid-June with the Ducktales Movie and then I return ranting full time with the GANG OF GUMMI WAY as Lady Bane, Sir Thornberry and more. Yippie! So........

Thumbs way the hell down IN HELL for this episode and I'll see you next time.
