Pardon My Molecules

Reviewed: 02/10/2013

Pardon My Disgust For This Series!

Well; that last rant was bad, so this episode hopefully will be better because Daisy gets kidnapped by someone with revenge on his mind because Daisy talked dirty about his painting. Oh; and there is those nephews pushing the crappy button again on the other side. So; let's rant on and find out shall we...?!

This episode is written by Dean Stefan and story editing is done by Gary Sperling. The animation was done by Toon City.

Opening Moment #1: Today's title card features a shadow of a two headed duck monster with molecules (in purple no less) in the background. Judging by the title card; it looks like Huey and Dewey are the ones to fuse because Louie wears a hat. Ironically; the original title of this episode is called "Here Comes The Grudge" which is a million times better, but whatever.

So we begin this episode in the desert and then we pan over to a museum like site called The Flat Sands as Daisy is giddy about this place. Yeah; a hot place with lots of CACTUS JACKS OF DOOM lined in the background, sure Daisy. Donald is trying to get a red suitcase out of the RV; but it's big ass so it's stuck and Donald is struggling to get it out. He seems thrilled to be here as Daisy proclaims that there is a secret military base somewhere in the Flat Sands and they will be the first journalists to tour it. Donald finally gets it out as the suitcase somehow breaks logic and pops out on it's side. HA! Donald is flatter than my sex life as Donald pops from the carnage and moves the thing over to the conveniently placed swimming pool which has sand surrounding it for some odd reason. Donald opens the suitcase as it reads in yellow letters: Personal Sunbather. Which opens to be a lawn chair with umbrella, and tables for drinks and books. Donald flops on lawn chair and relaxes like Baloo. And then the two adults here race car noises as Huey and Dewey race in race cars. And we accuse PHINEAS of this nonsense? They knock Daisy in the swimming pool while Donald's chair gets knocked into the middle of said pool and somehow stays intact. Along with Donald as we cut back to Huey and Dewey being a couple of bastards as Louie is in the mouth of a dinosaur statue calling the action. So we do the Krillin walk on walls spots on the doors as the nephews blow each other off. You know; you would think that the creators would have noticed that Huey is driving a green race car and Dewey is driving a purple one; and that kills the continuity that they were shooting for here. Anyhow; they ride straight for the dinosaur statue as Huey bumps into Dewey and Dewey is out of control as he crashes into the tepee which is filled with chickens for no reason. The old off-screen crashing spots and exit sequence again. Huey also almost ran over some human tourists which is still better than Louie doing it. Dewey gets blinded by a sitting chicken and Huey thinks that he is so smug that he panics when they are coming towards each other. Huey naturally doesn't steer stage left on a sharp corner and just crashes into Dewey with a resounding explosion. Huh?

So Huey blows off Dewey for trying to "hurt" him (BS&P RULEZ!) while Dewey takes off the helmet and protests this outrage because Huey cut him off. I'm with Dewey on this one folks; although I still don't really care if they commit Darwinism on each other. They hurl playground level insults at each other as Louie proclaims that this is the smell of the winners circle. Whatever Louie. So we scene change to a shot of the hot sizzling sun and do I smell bacon? We pan down to Donald sleeping on the lawn chair and then pan west to see two CACTUS JACKS OF DOOM tip-toeing in. What? No twinkletoes sound effect? That's awful sloppy guys! Donald wakes up after Daisy nudges him awake which causes the two cactus' to stop just behind the adults and the lawn chairs. Daisy tells us that the military personnel should be here any minute now to pick them up. And Daisy walks left and the top of the cactus pops up and a human arm grabs Daisy and stuffs her in the cactus. At first; I thought it was the nephews playing a trick on Donald, but it's clear that they are not as Donald wakes up again to notice a cactus shadowing the sun for him. Donald thanks it and tries to go to sleep again; but then catches himself. He screams and gets grabbed by the thinner cactus. So we head to the "secret" MILITARY BASE OF DOOM as we get alarms outside and a big ass steel door with a dozen red lights and one green light on top; along with a purple welcome mat that looks more steel than wool; if you catch my drift. So we head inside to a space like hallway called Sector 5 as the two cactus' zip open and throw Donald and Daisy onto the ground. Donald demands answers to this outrage and we see that the two henchmen unzip to reveal a thin man with red curly hair and a green sweater that looks like a lighter shade of Kit's sweater; while the fat man has a blue cap on and is wearing a red sweater; plus has a big tooth exposed on his lower lip. So these are the henchmen...Interesting.

Henchmen #1 might be voiced by the late Richard Ryder (passed away in 1995 before Quack Pack even aired; so the voices were recorded shortly before his death somehow) and he started in the movie Abuse as Larry in 1983, then was in Forever Young as Pilot at Airshow. He also was in television movies such as Threesome as a photographer, Laker Girls as Mr. Weisberg, Cries Unheard: The Donna Yaklich Story and When The Darkman Calls as Heavy Man. Quack Pack is his DTVA debut, his only appearance, and his final credit to boot! His other credits are cameos: Party of Five (delivery man), Harts Of The West, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (Bajoran Deputy), Designing Women (customer), and Dream On (chorus). That's all of his 12 credits. Henchmen #2 might be voiced by the late Glen Shadix (passed away in 2010) and according to Wikipedia (DANGER! DANGER!): He lived in New York City prior to moving to Hollywood in the late 1970s. He got his breakthrough film role in Beetlejuice (as Otho) while doing a stage play, portraying Gertrude Stein.[4] Beetlejuice filmmaker Tim Burton went on to cast Shadix in 1993's The Nightmare Before Christmas, and the 2001 remake of Planet of the Apes. In 2005, Shadix was cast as the voices of the Brain and Monsieur Mallah in season five of the Teen Titans animated series. His other voice work includes the aforementioned Nightmare, and episodes of Jackie Chan Adventures and Justice League Unlimited. He reprised his Nightmare Before Christmas role in the video game The Nightmare Before Christmas: Oogie's Revenge, and the Square-Enix video game Kingdom Hearts II. His television work included the HBO drama Carnivàle, the NBC television comedy Seinfeld, in which he played Jerry's landlord, and playing the roles of giant brothers Typhoon and Typhon in Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. On stage, Shadix was set to begin rehearsals for a Birmingham production of Alan Bennett's History Boys.[citation needed] He also recorded a promo for Red Bar Radio.

He started as Twin Oaks Customer in The Postman Always Rings Twice in 1981. Quack Pack is his DTVA debut and appeared in Lilo & Stitch The Series. He has 79 acting credits to his resume. The Little Engine That Could as Arkana is his final credit. He also produced and wrote the short Sunset Tuxedo in 2004. So the henchmen are so dumb that even they don't know what the secret is. So then we see an orange car drive in and we see that a big man wearing a brown suit, brown vest, purple bowtie and green pant is driving it. He also sports a very thin beard and has devil like hair on the sides of his head. He introduces himself as Doctor Ermil Crocker and he might be voiced by Neil Elliot was started as a Bellboy on Get Smart in 1967; and then the movie Doctor, You Have Got To Be Kidding as Neil. He was mostly used in cameo work in television shows; and was in a few movies such as Model Shop as Fred, All Of Me as a cabbie; In The Mood as an arresting cop, F/X 2 as Movie F/X Man and Movies Til Dawn as Archy. Quack Pack is his DTVA debut and only known appearance. He has only 20 acting credits to his resume. Troops as Owen Lars is his most recent credit in 1997 and was an additional researcher for the documentary Before Stonewall in 1984. So Ermil doesn't even try to hide the fact that they are his henchmen before correcting himself calling them assistant as they grab the cactus suit and that thing is so dangerous because it has real needles on it and they sell pain. HA! Daisy and Donald hop on as Ermil apologizes and gets in because he is doing a guided tour of the place. We ride as Daisy whisper yells to Ermil about the secret of this place and Ermil goes on and on about molecules as Donald does the Gruffi pose in response. Ermil gets off and shows them the big ass pipe bolted to the ceiling and then explains that the molecules are spinning as he spins like a top which charms Donald into spinning his the pupils in his own eyes. HAHA! Donald is dizzy as hell and he faints away. HA!

So we head back to the desert near a CACTUS JACK OF DOOM which apparently has a mouse hole and out comes a mouse. It gets eaten by a lizard on camera which is attached to a string by Dewey. And yes; that mouse is dead which would be fine if we didn't see bugs get killed by Venus Flytraps in Plunder and Lightning part two. Dewey goes on about having a disagreement with Huey; but it's fine because they are brothers as we pan over to an open window inside a tepee which I discover Huey sitting down in a chair reading a book. I also discover that this place is actually a cottage like hotel as Dewey rushes over and knocks on the door. Huey foolishly walks to the door as Dewey returns and lowers the lizard onto the chair. I don't get the point of making the smartest nephew of the series the prankster. Doesn't that just render Louie as completely useless now? Huey opens the door and sees no one and returns to his chair and he clearly saw the lizard and still turned around and sat down to allow his ass to be chomped off-screen by the lizard. At least this bite had some intensity in it for points for that; but that rendered Huey even stupider than usual. Dewey of course did it to get even and bails as Huey runs out the door with the lizard on his ass. And he's mad. Don't care. So we scene change to Huey going to Dewey's tepee room as he wants to thank Dewey with a pink bow attached to a stink bug which spews green stinky smoke. Again; why are we blaming the new Disney for this crap and leaving the old Disney alone?! So Huey bails and return with a gas mask on and a JOKEY SURPRISE OF DOOM which has holes in it containing a family of stink bugs. Yawn. Huey throws the present into the open window and bails as we get the big fart of doom and a lot of stinky smoke as Dewey runs out of his tepee disgusted and looks disgusting. So then we HIT THE MONTAGE to waste some more time as we get the shooting oil pillar spot, Dewey tries to board up his house as then we jump cut to an explosion which destroys the tepee room and Dewey is covered in soot.

Dewey bails and returns with the three big ass rockets and then uses a small rocket launcher and blows up Huey's house which allows Huey to be covered in soot. So Toon Disney cut an explosion; but not Dewey shooting the rocket launcher? Huey bails and brings out the missiles as they blow each other off about getting even. Somehow; I find this penis overcompensating to be perversely entertaining to me and to Louie as we pan east to Louie lying in a hammock which is tied to some cacti. Louie claims that this isn't and doesn't look like mean-spirited combat and then gets MURDERED by a stray missile and his hammock is destroyed. To channel Bugs Bunny: Of course you realize; this means war! Sadly; Louie is too much of a wuss to do that and he flops on his back and faints, covered in soot. So we back to the military base and inside a lab as we see the PLOT DEVICE OF DOOM which is another purple laser like device as seen in The Germinator and The Island of Not So Nice. Ermil calls this the Weather Moleculizer. Let's just call this the Weather Storm Maker and get it over with. Daisy wants to know what it does and Ermil claims that it plays with weather molecules. He even gives Daisy a red remote control with a lever on it. So Daisy plays the thing like a video game and it turns blue and cold and snowy. Everyone shiver and freezes on cue as Donald's beak is full of ice. Teeth chattering sound effects ensue as Ermil magically has the joystick and he plays around and the molecular ray gun of doom shoots red lasers and it's orange and sunny. Donald loves this and brings out the magical lawn chair. I've heard of Gadget Tricks; but this one is just silly. Donald grabs the joystick and shoots more red rays to make it even hotter as he relaxes on the lawn chair while Ermil and Daisy sweat like crazy. HA! I call it revenge for making him oversell. I don't blame Donald; being cold and snowy is not pleasant here in Nova Scotia right now. Sadly; Donald plays with the joystick one time too many and shoots the gun upwards. This creates light blue waves and a storm cloud comes out and pisses on Donald's parade. HAHA! Donald protests this outrage; but the storm cloud doesn't care about his well being; nor Donald's for that matter.

Donald runs away and gets a thunderbolt straight up his ass for his troubles. HAHA! Good oversell there Donald as Emril goes to the main control panel and pushes a button which causes the cloud to float away stage left and disappear. Ermil proclaims that this should teach Donald not to underestimate the power of molecules. Well; it's more like weather in general, but whatever you say. Donald is not amused as he has a sooty ass so to speak. Sadly; this leads to Ermil going over to cheese colored box like device with switches and light bulbs that it looks like something out of a bad Z-grade movie. He even kisses it and calls it his baby which lends more evidence to my theory. It's called the Molecular Merger as Donald does the Gruffi pose and refuses to play this stupid game. Ermil is fine with it because henchmen #1 (the fat one) comes out with a washer and henchmen #2 (the thin one) comes out with a television set. I just realize that the heat machine is on as well which shows that the new Disney has been cribbing ideas from this show which is not a good idea. So they open up the MM from both sides and plop the objects in there and shut the door. We turn on the MM and get Ermil rubbing his hands and smile with glee. Then we hear a ping and on the front panel you see the most obscure smiling face in history. Emril opens the left door and both object have become Wuzzlized. It's Wash Television which Donald is amused by, but Daisy has the Gruffi pose on and is shooting again. Donald turns the knob thinking he has changed the channel; but the WashTV breaks logic by opening the glass door and sprays water in Donald's face. HAHA! So we head outside the secret base of doom which so happens to have road complete with a bus pointing out the secret base in all it's glory. No wonder everyone thinks America is a country with "paper tiger" defenses. The bus stops in front of the gates as Louie comes out wondering why Daisy and Donald left them behind. I could go on about how stupid this is; but it's too obvious so let's continue watching Dewey and Huey not getting out of the bus because they are even more childish then usual. And that's saying a lot there. Louie does the Gruffi pose as the two nephews punch each other in the face off-screen.

Yeah; I'm with Louie on this one as we head back inside Ermil's office which has a desk and statues of model molecules. Ermil is still romancing about molecules; but sees that Donald is bored so he offers to show Donald his sun deck. Donald is giddy and then for no reason he proclaims that this won't take long like a heel. Ummm; Ermil? You are not suppose to say it THAT WAY. Donald is too stupid to notice and walks off as Ermil gives Daisy a tray of molecule sized sandwiches which we cannot even see. HAHA! Daisy is not amused at all by that. Before she can shoot on us again we scene change to outside the base as Ermil leads Donald towards a cliff. Donald then realizes that he is about to be jobbed as Ermil brings out the molecular ray gun (the portable edition) and proclaims that he'll use it to turn the molecules from hard sand to quick sand as he shoots at Donald's feet and we have instant quicksand as Donald sinks under it's weight. This is awesome because it's not like most quicksand spots since Donald falls through and free falls off the cliff. It's a nice death trap from Ermil. Donald protests this outrage; so Ermil decides to alter the molecules from quicksand...and he shoots again at Donald...and they change into quick drying cement. And now Donald is stuck and screaming profanities (well; the ones BS&P would allow) at Ermil as we end the segment 11 minutes in. This is a pretty good episode thus far.

After the commercial break; we see Donald struggling as his shoulders are bound to his sides and Ermil taunts Donald with words and puts down a glass of natural spring water. HAHA! Ermil wishes him a happy tan and walks off stage left. Donald struggles and gets the cheap heat of laughs as a vulture circles around the cliff from 100 feet in the air. The vulture dives as Donald proclaims in a non-acting way that he is a dead duck. That just symbolizes his fall from grace doesn't it?! So we head back to Ermil's office as Daisy is pacing around and having a funny feeling about all this as Ermil shows up out of nowhere at his desk and wants Daisy to sit down. So he uses the remote control (also out of nowhere) and Daisy is uprooted and force to sit in this awkward chair and is zoom in front of a projector screen. Ermil clicks the remote and we see footage from an art gallery as we see Daisy Duck in her old form from the 1950's complete with purple bow on her head. Daisy is not happy as she comes over to a painting which looks like a post-modern painting of Emril Crocker with a blackface. . Old Daisy has only one word that comes to mind: Pee-eew! That's an understatement there Daisy! The footage stops as Ermil gets in front of the screen and tells her to reconsider the mistake that she made. Daisy admits that she made a huge mistake...in wearing that outfit during the shoot. HAHA! Ermil is not amused; but she has a point there Emril. Daisy's duds during that period are so Shellsea like; without the disco jackhammer, it's just another female stereotype character made by a man. So Emril blows her off as we head to the front door and notice on camera; Louie dressed up as an exterminator complete with pest gun and tank. This is absolutely ironic considering Shrunken Heroes as he rings the doorbell. Sorry; but the backwards baseball cap is for navigators and not exterminators. You are not Kit, Louie. Get over yourself. So he rings the doorbell and the doors open to reveal the henchmen.

The henchmen claim that there are no pests in here as Louie steps in and proclaims that this needs a professional. And Huey and Dewey walk in dressed as a big ass mouse which should have given it away that this was a setup; but the henchmen rule is to be so stupid that it's not funny as they do the Shaggy/Scooby embrace spot. They oversell fear and run off. I'm guessing Louie is punishing the other nephews for being such jackasses today that they got to wear the mouse suit. So we head back to Daisy watching her own report on Ermil's post-modern painting as Daisy thinks this painting stinks. We also discover that she was on What In The World during this entire time. Daisy still doesn't get what Ermil is trying to tell her; so Ermil decides to tell a little story as we hit the flashback to a university stage as a bunch of scientists were testing out a molecular ray gun of their own. There is this nerd in a white coat who raises his hand and volunteers as he walks on stage and gets zapped by the beam. He falls down and everyone is shocked and horrified at this as the nerd walks around the street with his face obscured by black hair as everyone drops dead; including a lady with exposed panties in the background. Oh please; they are scared by that face?! I've seen worse out of the nephews than this. So we also go to a sky shot of a room where we see the nerd painting as it's clear now that this guy is Ermil Crocker in his young adult years since he's painting that racist picture of himself. We return to reality (no, not really) as Ermil is beaming with glee about expressing himself...as a RACIST loser. Ermil blows Daisy off for ruining his dreams as Daisy suddenly realizes the connection and he painted that painting. Ermil admits that he did and then he takes the mask off and we discover that he is a post-modern painting of himself. Okay; now the painting makes total sense and is not racist anymore. Daisy is such an art snob after all. Daisy shoots again claiming that this is unbelievable. Somehow; I think there is one person in real life that looks exactly like Ermil Crocker right now. I just don't know who it might be. Ermil proclaims that he's a laughing stock thanks to Daisy.

So Daisy admits that an apology is not going to help things; but Ermil goes to his desk and looks at a smaller molecular model. He states that he is more of a molecular level of guy as he pushes a button and Daisy is steel wrapped to the chair. So we head back to the cliff as Donald is still struggling as we get a big logic break as the vulture has disappeared. WHAT THE HELL? We ended Donald's struggle last time with the vulture swooping down at Donald. What? No payoff? FACKING BULLSHEET! Donald struggles some more and the cliff is brittle now that the rock crumbles off and Donald gets WARNERED...and this one is so obviously dead ringing Wily E. Coyote as Donald bumps up to drink the upside down glass of water and then bumps down. Tries again; and then the rock flips upside down. Okay; I admit that this is pretty funny, but it's too similar to the Roadrunner cartoons. Although they did change the camera angle to Donald bumping his head with a good bump on the sand and the glass lands on his ass. HAHA! So we head inside the hallways as Louie is in his regular duds and practicing the fine art of not being seen. Sadly; the Huedew Mouse is ruining the effect for him. AHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Case in point: Dewey stops and rips open the ass as he complains about being an ass. Huey calls it typecasting. I doubt that seriously since that would put you as the ass Huey Duck! Argument ensues and Louie notices the henchmen riding a purple car and goes over to the other jackasses and yells at them to bail because the henchmen are onto us. Maybe you should have kept the pest control duds on Louie. We run stage left like Scooby Doo as the henchmen notice the kids as if they knew them from the start. How? I have no idea. They see a big ass door with a smoke censor sign as a door knob. Now would it surprise you that they go inside and are inside the room where the Molecular Merger and Weather Moleculizier is?! Louie jumps over a big ass sack and hides while Huey goes into the Molecular Merger on the right side and backs up. Now we never see Dewey at all; but he shows up out of nowhere in the MM backing up in the opposite direction and they attract like opposites. They...say it with me...blow each other off to annoy me.

So the henchmen are outside and park the car in front of the door. They head inside as fat henchmen notices Louie popping up; or at least in theory as Louie hides behind the WashTV and fat henchmen takes the sack and throws it inside the machine. Yeah; really stupid despite clearing seeing Louie's head. So the heels walk out of the room; but the thin henchmen pops in and pushes the conveniently placed lever which is labeled as DANGER; but the henchmen is too stupid and thinks it's a light switch, despite the fact that the lights didn't go out instantly. He just walks out. What an bunch of idiots?! Louie runs to the MM as it dances and then stops on a dime with a ping sound. Man; that music during the sequence is way out of place for this as Louie opens the door and coughs up smoke. We then see Huey coming out and he claims he's fine, but Dewey has a problem. Dewey counters as we discover that Huey and Dewey are fused as halves to form a two headed duck. Louie gasps and stammers in horror. I don't why Louie is so upset. After all; they are two ducks who share the same personality and the same bird brain. AHHAHAHAHAHAHA! POW! POW! POW! OUCH! OUCH! OUCH! Ummmmm.... Huey and Dewey finally notice the problem and scream badly to end the segment nearly 17 minutes in. Well; this has been a fun one which is great for me at least.

After the commercial break; we get more arguing from the two losers and more Gruffi poses from Louie. Louie pushes them aside because he wants to find Daisy and Donald. So they walk out of the room and Louie wants to split up. So Huewey tries to do the splits spot; but they bounce back. Louie states that he'll go one way and the two go the other way. So then Huewey (yes; that's my joke name for this hydra duck; just accept it.) argue about which direction to go. Louie does the Gruffi pose and snarks about two heads being better than one. HA! So we head back in the desert as Donald is now channeling Daffy Duck which is absolutely fitting considering that Donald is basically a hot tempered version of Daffy, minus the witty snark (which the nephews stole from him and defaced it badly.). He then notices the dreaded MIRAGE OF DOOM which features a Hawaiian girl with grass skirt and a grass skirt table selling coconut milk in coconut mugs. Ummm; yeah this is a mirage because no SEXIST GIRL OF THE DAY would be caught dead doing this spot for real; even Suzy McAlder. Donald falls for it and the mirage disappears to reveal the vulture as Donald is kissing it thinking he's drinking coconut milk. HA! So Donald realizes this and he spits and is instantly repulsed by this; then catches himself as he completely stops selling being hot and tired and runs away stage right. HAHA! The vulture follows him as we head back to the hallway and there are six cars with yellow bodies and red seats. Yeah; we have seen a purple one earlier so Toon City cannot keep them straight. What a shock?! So Huewey pops out of one and Dewey takes over the controls and we argue about who is going to drive and they zig zag for a while and crash into a dumpster filled with rotten stinking stuff. The only thing of note is that in one instance Dewey also proclaims that he doesn't want to drive and Huey almost agrees not to either.

So they argue over their non-existing driver skills and we hear the henchmen and both agree to bail stage left and south. So Huey wants to scout for thugs while Dewey gets to drive. And three seconds later; the thugs show up in the purple car and Huey just realized how much he sucks. So the henchmen order the two losers to pull over and both actually agree with each other for once and Dewey stops the car as the purple car crashes off-screen while going down the stairs. The nephews think they outsmarted them; but the irony of "modern technology" rears its ugly head as the babyface car is parked right in front of the elevator which so happened to be the exact same door they used for the lab room where the MM was. So we chase again and Dewey proclaims that it's time for Huey's bump and run tactic which they act like a bunch of smugasses again. So they allow the henchmen to get side by side with them and they bump the heels to the wall. The heel car pinballs off the walls and right into the conveniently placed garbage chute door and they drop out of sight. Pfffttt. Whatever guys. They shake hands on a truce and thank each other as we head back to Daisy tied up in the chair watching a closeup of Emril which is kind of cute in a post-modern sort of way. So he proclaims that all his research has led to a tray which is under a white sheet; which reveals a tray of food and flowers. HAHA! He pushes it away and out of nowhere comes a tray under a white sheet which contains another molecular ray gun; only it's a shrink ray. Great; this would be the third straight episode they have done this. Emril turns some knobs while ranting on reducing Daisy to molecules and then murdering this uncaring world as the door breaks down and here is Huewey calling Emirl's post-modern ass out. I cannot take this seriously even if I tried. Daisy is shocked and then shoots about being in a dream and this making sense. UH OH! Did she just telegraph the finish or something?! Prove me wrong Dean! Prove me wrong!

So Ermil mocks the nephews for playing with the Molecular Merger and this is over. What is surprising is that they are completely no selling the fact that he has that look on his face that spells "mockery". Boy; these nephews are so lazy if they are no selling that little detail. He points the ray gun (with a tube light bulb attacked to it) at the losers as Huey pushes it towards him; but Toon City screws it up by moving it to Dewey; and then Dewey does the same only he moves it and it doesn't budge much at all. This goes on for a long ass whomping time as Louie practices the fine art of not being seen and walks up to the Weather Moleculizier and switches it back on. Ermil decides that he has had enough; and he'll just hit the body instead, but the whole place goes to smoke despite the dialog claiming that it's dense fog. Then why is Ermil coughing and complaining about not seeing? So Louie unwraps Daisy and leads her behind the pillar as Louie claims that Daisy was right about the WM. What? I don't recall her ever mentioning this to any of the nephews. Then Daisy brings the out of nowhere joystick. WHAT?! How?! She wants a tornado and she fiddles with the controls and the laser beam shoots on the ground complete with Transformer laser sound effects and we get our tornado. Because this is what this episode really needs: More windbags. Ermil gets caught as everyone holds on for dear life. Except for Louie and Daisy who somehow manage to stay untouched behind the pillar. So Daisy plays with the joystick and the laser gets rid of said tornado and Ermil drops on his ass. Ermil gets up as Huewey puts their heads together and they run like a charging bull and they do a double headbutt into Ermil's midsection and the ray gun goes flying. The light bulb tube hits the ground first and it shoots right at Huewey. It hits and the nephews are split back to normal. Well; I guess this was a clear case of splitting atom hairs. AHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

So Huey and Dewey proclaim that they are back to normal...and then they argue at each other. That was the shortest truce I have ever seen as Ermil notices the distraction and tries to go for the ray gun just as Donald crawls in and is somehow selling tired and hot again despite being in a cooler place. Ermil grabs the gun and backs up to shoot at the nephews; but is in perfect position to trip over Donald and squash him as the ray drops on the ground and fires right into Donald and Ermil. We then discover that Ermil's face looks like the mask from earlier as he proclaims that he's normal again. We then zoom out to notice that Donald's body is on his left arm and Ermil has Donald's bottom half. HAHA! Ermil whines like a baby realizing that the dream is only slightly less dead than Bea's dreams of getting anywhere in Fish Hollywood. Daisy walks over and completely blows off Donald for being a lazyass. HAHA! Donald tries to explain; but he's too tired and he faints dead to end the episode at 21:02. Ladies and Gentlemen; the streak is OVER! We have our first thumbs up episode as the entire story was great, with only a few mistakes marring the experience. Call it **** 1/4 (85%).

THE REVIEW LINE

So after 25 episodes of being denied a thumbs up from me; we finally have our first thumbs up episode and it was one that I thought would be good and it delivered. Ermil was a pretty good villain who had the vanity and the science down to being a heel who wanted revenge for everyone mocking him for no real reason other than having a weird face. Luring Daisy and Donald into that trap worked so smoothly (well; as smooth as a DTVA villain would perform I guess), and I did find Huey and Dewey fight to be perversely entertaining instead of the normal crappy button pushing these three are known for. Also; I'm grateful that Dean wrote out a really good script that built up Mr. Crocker quite well and there was a fair bit of sympathy heat on him. I mean; it's not really his fault that he's hideous and has a grunge against Daisy. He's a good scientist and a decent painter that no one gets. How can you not have sympathy for him? I'm also glad that they didn't go for the dream finish which Daisy was telegraphing; and the finish and ending were good for a change. Now; it wasn't a perfect episode as Toon City messed up in places and some of the dialog was out of nowhere and sounded contrived. How did Louie know about the Weather Moleculizier because I don't recall Daisy talking about it. Then there is Donald's misadventures with the vulture which was funny except for one gaping logic break where it appeared Donald was going to die and then we return and the vulture disappeared, only to reappear later. Otherwise; the streak of no thumbs up is officially over at 26 episodes which is two regular seasons of American television. Just lovely! So next up will finally be IOU A UFO which is a Dewey focused episode and he screamed an iconic line that symbolized Disney at the time perfectly. And not in a good way. So........

Thumbs up for this episode and I'll see you next time.
