Ogre For A Day

Reviewed: 08/13/2011

Which Means No Bath For A Year!

Well; things didn't go so well for me rant wise since there are only eight episodes left that I can find on a reliable stream at this point. So; I'll be wrapping up Gummi Bears in two weeks and then only ranting on future Gummi Bear episode when there is a reliable stream. So I'm Kick Buttowsking the show now rant wise. Oh joy! So our next episode features Cavin becoming an ogre for a day and spying on Dukie. Let's rant on shall we....?

The story is done by Terrie Collins, Bruce Reid Schaefer and Mark Seidenberg. The teleplay is done by Bruce Reid Schaefer and Terrie Collins. The animation is done by Walt Disney Animation Japan.

We begin this one in a field of sheep as a shepherd is tending to one of the sheep and then we hear rumbling and everyone scatters including animals coming OUT OF NOWHERE as here comes ultra-cool sidekick Toadie and his group of ogre thugs. Toadie blows the whistle as Gad wants to step on Toadie. They rush by as the shepherd runs away stage left yelling ogres while going to Castle Dumbwin....ERRR...Castle Dunwyn in the distance. Then we head to the stable as Cavin is wiping the floor while the shepherd goes on about escaping with his own life intact (Paul Winchell – The Zummi voice gives it away). Cavin turns around as we see the shepherd talking to King Gregor, Sir “Lazybones” Tuxford and his knights. Gregor calls it the third incident this week. Tuxford is assigned to the case of course as Cavin does some cosplaying with the rake as Tuxford gets on horseback...and so does Cavin as Tuxford asks him where he is going. So Lazybones is also deaf I see. Cavin wants to help; but Tuxford claims that only knights should fight and not pages. Gregor takes Tuxford side of things and Cavin dismounts and brings his horse back to the stable as the knights on horseback leave. Cavin then has a Krackpotkin plan and that's to capture an ogre before they do.

And he knows how as we see Cavin in the forest setting a complex trap which indicates that Gummi Bears are helping him and that is proven right as Cubbi is on the net portion of the trap. Rule #1 of dealing with ogres: outsmart them. Cubbi gleefully sums up the ogres for me. Cubbi throws fall leaves on the trap as Cavin thinks he can capture a dozen of them. Logic break #1 for the episode since Dukie usually has only six or seven on hand per episode. Including Toadie. Then we hear rumbling and both Cubbi and Cavin bail into the bushes and the trap springs and actually works....Except that Cubbi has to bail because it's Lazybones and his two knights. HA! Cavin apologizes for that gaffe (somehow I think knights are dumber than ogres after THAT one) of course as we return to the castle which Calla defends Cavin since he meant well; but Tuxford doesn't care and of course Gregor takes Tuxford side of things because that is unfitting of a knight see. So being incredibly lazy and not smart is being a knight. That's a real good way to make Cavin look weak eh?

So we head back to the forest as Cavin sulks on a log and proclaims that he'll never be a knight. Of course; he does have the makings of a thief and a ranger; so at least he's climbing the ladder at least. Cubbi consoles him because Cavin has the knight stuff. Oh jeepers; do we need knight puns now. Then we hear ogres again as Cubbi and Cavin bail to the bushes and here comes Toadie and his army of ogres as Dukie needs a few good ones to do a secret mission. They march stage left out of sight as Cavin wonders what Dukie is up to. Cubbi deduces that they are up to no good and something stinks in Drekmore which is silly since ogres are a bunch of stink ups; in more ways than one I might add. Cavin calls this trouble in Dunwyn as we head to Gummi Glen AFTER HAPPY HOUR (after dark) as Gruffi comes in with the status report as he proclaims that he couldn't find anything other than the fact that Drekmore is locked tighter than a drum and the only things getting in or out are ogres. Cubbi is growing impatient and wants in; so Grammi suggests the Trojan Cake Of Death and Gruffi gleefully blows it off claiming that they will be safe because no one will eat it. Grammi blows it off which is silly since she's acting like that's a BAD thing. More so since ogres have weird tastes and don't bathe.

So Zummi goes into his hat and brings out his spell notes and suggests becoming an ogre. Oh and he has the spell to pull it off too which was found in the Great Book of Gummi of course. Zummi wants volunteers and Cavin of course is the first one to step up; which Gruffi blows off because he's a kid. Zummi is a lot more diplomatic as he explains that the spell has never been used on a human before and could be dangerous. Cavin doesn't care because it's his responsibility; Dumbwin is at stake and he can do it. I would take his word for it too as we head to the forest in the morning as everyone except Cavin stands back as Zummi proclaims that anything could happen. Gruffi gleefully answers that one for me with his trademark pose. So Zummi chants the following....

Zummi: Hummer Onmo Gummi Someeye!
Translation: Hum Me On More Gummi Some Eye!

Wait? That's an actual morph spell to change you into an ogre? It sounds like a morph spell to change Cavin into a Gummi Bear. Really Zummi?! Logic break #2 for the episode. The pixie dust overwhelms Cavin and he turns into a green ogre with black hair and a helmet which appears OUT OF NOWHERE. Cavin is in awe as he talks like an ogre; only smarter. HA! Cubbi brings out the sword as Cavin tries to grab him; but he pratfalls on his face. HAHA! Yeap; he's a real ogre all right. Gruffi blows him off as Cagre (Might as well go for the cheap joke here) as it takes some getting used to. However; Zummi points out that he must reverse the spell by morning next day; or he's an ogre forever. Cagre gulps as Cubbi gives him the red feather from his cap for good luck. Cagre puts the father on his helmet and waves goodbye in ogre speak as he leaves northeast.

So we waste no time and go to Drekmore BEFORE HAPPY HOUR (sunset) as the marching ogres all go inside Drekmore as Cagre is underneath the drawbridge. How fitting eh? Cagre marches quickly behind them and gets in before the drawbridge closes down. Cagre looks around as he sees ogres training and doing the delta ogre spot while Dukie looks on. Then a fly lands on yellow ogre's nose and then we see another logic break: How did Cagre teleport all the way to the delta ogre spot? He's wearing the same helmet as Cagre for crying out loud? Oh and this ogre smacks yellow ogre right in the face killing the fly and making the spot tumble. HAHA! Dukie is not impressed as the exact same ogre now has an anchor and he's scratching his back with it. Dukie orders him to throw it and the ogre does as it is snug against the brick wall. Dukie then tells him to scale the wall and the ogre foolishly does that; forgetting that he weighs about the same as I do; and the top part of the wall crumbles allowing the ogre to be entombed with bricks. HAHA!

Then we see Gad, yellow ogre and another ogre charge a red haired orange ogre with a knight dummy on a string (Wow; that could qualify as a effgy for Lazybones methinks) as then we realizes that there are two sets of ogres on each side and the red haired ogre just walks away stage north as the ogres have the meeting of the skulls. And it wasn't at the stink weed swamp. Then Toadie appears OUT OF NOWHERE telling Cagre to show his stuff as he gives him a wooden stick as we see a pair of ogres take a ogre away stage right on a cloth like stretcher. Then Toadie wishes him luck because he'll need it. I see Cavin still needs to work on his ogre speak as it's Cagre against Gad and Zook in a handicap match with sticks. So Cagre whacks Zook in the back and then Gad in the head with the stick which somehow parts the helmet despite being out of metal. I see those sticks are not wooden after all. Zook thinks this ogre is not stupid. NO?! REALLY?! Dukie then comes over and asks for a name and Cagre ponders it over; but his dumb speech gives him the name Umug Oookkkkkaaayyyyyy. Dukie is keeping an eye on him as ultra-cool sidekick Toadie comes in and Dukie tells them that it's time for feeding the troop as he leaves stage left.

So Toadie blows the whistle and it's slop time. Everyone runs up the indent as Umug puts his stick down and we head into the mess hall as Umug is stirring up his bowl of green slime on the table. Umug apparently doesn't want to be an ogre much longer as Toadie blows the whistle and wants everyone to stand. Dukie enters the mess hall and informs the troops that at 19:00 hours as Toadie keeps amusing me with his Join The Marines promo which Dukie ruins by stuffing an apple in his mouth. Dukie wants the best ogres to scale the walls of Castle Dumbwin; fight off the guards and kidnap Gregor without any slip ups. Huh? That's it? No Princess Calla in the deal? Did BS&P seriously overlook that little detail? See that will be enough for him to get Castle Dumbwin on a silver platter. He's overlooking one little detail: If Gregor is kidnapped; then Calla becomes the Queen of Dumbwin; they won't give up that easily.

Umug tries to bail stage right; but somehow Toadie teleports to the door to stop him and apparently got the apple out of his mouth too. Umug is naughty of course which is silly considering that all ogres are naughty. Since Umug played hooky; he must clean crocodile pit..with his tongue I assume. So we scene change to Cubbi sitting on a branch of a tree as Zummi paces around proclaiming that Cavin should be back by now. Cubbi decides to run in to Drekmore and see where he is so he can help him. So we get a sky shot of Drekmore as the ogres do various things as Cubbi is on the rooftops looking around for Cavin; and then notices the ogre with the black hair and feather on helmet sparkling like Sun woo on a bad day. Cubbi yells bingo and then we jump cut to Cubbi hiding behind the barrel of laughs. Then we discover that they are used for crushing humans as the barrels get crushed by boulders; twice. Cubbi panics as we see Zook is doing the crushing and Gad praises him for it. Third one gets crushed and Cubbi is so totally BUSTED! Toadie points out the obvious to Dukie as Umug is not liking this one bit. Cubbi drinks his vial of roided juice and it's BUTT BOUNCING TIME as Dukie tries the leap of faith but falls flat on his face. Cubbi taunts Dukie on the way stage left; but crashes into Gad and drops on his ass as Gad invokes the BIG FOOT STOMP OF DEATH; but Umug does the LEAP OF FAITH and saves Cubbi. However; Dukie grabs him on the rebound and praises Umug for capturing a Gummi Bear. His reward: He leads the troops in scaling Castle Dumbwin tonight. Umug has just screwed himself and that ends the segment nine and a half minutes in.

After the commercial break; we head to a dungeon as Cubbi is pacing around and thinks Umug has turned on him. WHAT? That makes no sense whatsoever since it was Umug who SAVED Cubbi from getting killed by Gad. It was just that Dukie grabbed him on the rebound. I believe this is the continuity error one of my commenter on Live Journal was talking about. Cubbi kicks a rock OUT OF NOWHERE around as it hits the door and Zook appears blowing off Cubbi because he wants to sleep. Cubbi taunts Zook into seeing Gummi magic and Zook likes hocus pocus so Zook opens the door as Cubbi grabs the sheet; casts some magic and throws the cloth over Zook's head as he is blinded and Cubbi just runs out. HAHA! It always works on ogres. That is good continuity from Presto Gummo actually. And he slams the door too as Zook uncovers the sheet and just scratches his head in confusion.

So we get a far shot of Drekmore AFTER HAPPY HOUR as Toadie leads the chant and the ogres flow of march is terrible to say the least. Dukie is in the lead as we see about a dozen ogres (I've been proven wrong again and the logic break is popped out of the episode) marching along with Umug as he ponders what to do to keep them away from Dumbwin. Then Dukie stops and we get the pileup spot to amuse me as Dukie goes to his map and gets his bearings. So Umug butts in and proclaims that he knows a shortcut and Dukie buys it hook, line and sinker. Dukie claims that there is a promotion in this and then we scene change and pan down as Dukie is blowing off Umug as we are in a thorn vine forest. HAHA! Dukie is pissed off as Umug calls this short but not easy. HA! Toadie claims Umug has a point there and I agree with him. Dukie grabs Toadie by the ears again and blows it off wondering what else could go wrong and they start sinking as Dukie and Toadie are in a cesspool. Dukie proclaims that he is losing faith in Umug as he sinks. Yeah; like I'm taking this seriously.

So we head to Gummi Glenn and down to the Quick Tunnels as Gruffi cannot believe that Cavin has turned into a real ogre. So we had to make Cubbi stupid to get this angle?! Oh jeepers; there goes the thumbs up episode right there folks. I am so not buying into this. They should have used Gruffi to capture instead; at least he HAS a personal grunge against humans. Zummi was afraid this would happen as Zummi, Gruffi and Cubbi get into the Quick Car and proclaims that they must remind him who he really is; or he'll betray Dumbwin or us. Okay; I can understand the bear; but really Dumbwin has already been betrayed once as per in Light Makes Right. So we head to the castle walls of Dumbwin as the knights are pacing around and we pan east to the moat edge as Dukie and the ogres are hiding behind a tree. Dukie orders Umug to secure the rope and Umug sarcastically agrees to as he invokes the LASSO OF BANE TO ALL ACTION CARTOONS EVERYWHERE as Toadie conveniently slips his right ankle into the lasso and Umug launches it into the air and Toadie manages to somehow subdue the knight on the roof before wrapping himself onto the terrance. Well played Toadie; well played. And Dukie agrees with me on that one too.

Toadie does his usual retort as Umug gleefully blows himself off as Dukie orders them to scale the wall. So we scene change to see most of them over the wall already as Gruffi realizes that Zummi's spell worked too well. Zummi decides to try to reverse the spell; going into his hat; but Umug is already over the castle walls. So Gruffi goes to plan b and stopping Dukie and Cavin as Cubbi and Zummi follow him. So we head into the castle itself as a knight is guarding an area (and we see his legs only) with another knight on the far shot as Dukie tells the ogres the key is stealth and Gad has zero idea who that involves. So Toadie yells at the ogres to be quiet. Dukie covers Toadie's mouth as the knights hear it and run in with their axes and we have the FCC FRIENDLY FIGHT OF DOOM (I could hyper-reference The Mighty Hercules from the 1960's; but that's too Z-grade of a joke to use on this program.) as both knights are knocked out as just their head are bashed on-screen. I see Gad's usual plan worked perfectly. Dukie calls it using their heads. Nah; they just got LUCKY! Dukie consoles the map and Umug has a route to the bedroom; but Dukie blows it off because he's taking charge BABEE! All the ogres leave except for Umug as he has got to warn somebody. He walks off as the stone trap door opens and out comes Gruffi, Zummi and Cubbi as they have been here. Gruffi wants to know why Dukie is here. Well; there is only two choices here: Kidnap Gregor; or kidnap Calla. Both results are the same in Dumbwin giving the throne to Dukie. So it's really that obvious....

The GANG OF GUMMI WAY (apporos even more so since Gruffi is leading) bail stage left as we cut to Umug in the hallway in front of the door of Princess Calla as Umug whispers through the keyhole to her and Calla wakes in in her bed. She must be telepathic to hear that whisper yell. Calla goes to the door and sees Umug and she screams badly as the Gummi Bears hear her and in runs Toadie as she tries to pound on Umug and Toadie shoves her down on her ass. HOLY CRAP! Didn't see that one coming either. So male ogre on female human contact is still allowed; although this the edit I'm using is the Family Channel Canada version; so no evidence that Toon Disney cut that spot out yet. Toadie proclaims that this goes on the record as both he and Umug walk away stage right. So we finally head to the bedroom of King Gregor as he is snoring peacefully. So Dukie wakes him up and Gregor is so seriously screwed as we get a neat dark to light sequence as Gad and Zook grab Gregor and Gregor protests this outrage. He demands to be put down and if I'm Dukie; I would put him to sleep. Sadly; Dukie laughs it off and proclaims that he has won and he's king of Dumbwin. Now seriously; this is better than You Snooze; You Lose. However; Umug proclaims that it is not and grabs Gregor and runs out of the castle. Dukie is in shock as Toadie thinks that he's been betrayed. NO?! REALLY?!

So the chase is ON BABEE! We go through the castle and over the castle terrance for a while as Gregor yells for Tuxford who is conviently below them and Tuxford proclaims that they are under attack. Tuxford sees that Umug has Gregor and goes after him. Umug runs down the staircase; but that is blocked by Tuxford and the knight. Man; do misunderstandings become easy to infect on this show? Umug reverses field and locks the door behind him and goes outside on the terrance again; but the exit is blocked by Dukie and the ogres. So Umug takes a dive (in spite of the king wondering what he is doing) into the moat as the ogres all dive after him. Except for Toadie who carrying the basket with Dukie. Huh? Since when did that happen? The knights notice the king being kidnapped as Umug pops from the water and heads into the forest with the heels chasing after that as Tuxford calls for arms. We then cut to the tower window as Cubbi is in total disbelief as Gruffi calls Cavin a kingnapper. Oh please; this would have been convincing if Gruffi was the one caught by Umug. That ends the segment sixteen minutes in. Look; this is a good story; but there is one major hole in the episode.

After the commercial break; we get a far shot of Dumbwin as the drawbridge lowers on the close up and the knights on horseback ride out into the forest in search of Gregor. Then we cut to a tower as Calla has joined is for no reason that I can think of as Gruffi proclaims that they will get the king back; Gummi's honor. Remember when Gruffi wouldn't think twice of refusing to help Dumbwin? There you go; character development. So the Gummi's drink their vial of roided juice and it's BUTT BOUNCING TIME as they bounce after the knights. By the way; no logic break on Cubbi drinking the juice twice since he's a Gummi Bear. So we head to a cliff as Umug tries to climb up; but Gregor continues to protest and struggle. Okay; here's major continuity error #2: Gregor clearly saw Umug turning on Dukie and the ogres since he grabbed him in Gregor's room. So why is Gregor calling him a vile villain? If Lady Bane was going to be here; then this makes sense. Gregor pulls the helmet over the eyes (what an idiot?!) and Umug struggles to see and Gregor takes a sick MAN-SIZED bump into a hard rock with his head and is out or dead. HOLY CRAP! And you thought the bump Baloo took in The Old Man & The Seaduck was nasty. Umug tries to wake him up; but he appears to be dead since his eyes are open and he's not breathing. If 4Kids did this episode; there would be breathing sound effects.

So now Dukie and the ogres (who seem like the smartest guys in the entire episode now) run in demanding Gregor back; so Umug goes behind a huge rock and pushes it over the edge. Everyone bails in succession to dodge the big rock; but the ogres and Dukie forget to scatter and get squashed by the big rock and that don't WATCH OUT FOR THAT TREE! Zummi, Cubbi and Gruffi go over to the squashed ogres as Toadie wants to go home; but Dukie pops from the carnage and blows it off because he must get Gregor from Umug. Dukie proclaims that he should never trust an ogre who knows his own name. That makes Gruffi deduce that Cavin was protecting the king and he is not an ogre nor a traitor. Again; this would have been so cringe worthy if Gruffi was captured instead of Cubbi since Gruffi is the one with the personal grunge. Zummi proclaims that Cavin will be an ogre forever if they don't find him by sunrise. So we head to a muddy bridge as the knights on horseback look for the king and stand on the bridge.

We pan to under the bridge as Umug looks at a water puddle proclaiming that he needs to find Zummi; but cannot abandon the king. Gregor is lying with a bandage on his head as he slowly wakes up and panics to see Umug. Umug then blows his cover calling himself Cavin before changing it to a friend as the king is losing it and he faints in Umug's arms. Umug decides to find Tuxford and get some help for him as he comes out of the bridge and you would think that Tuxford would show up; but instead it's Dukie and the ogres. WHAT THE HELL? There's major contunity error #3 since we never see Tuxford appear at all. Dukie orders Toadie to cuff Gregor as the orges grab Gregor who is dazed and confused as Toadie cuffs him. Dukie wants to talk about the terms of surrender and Gad and Zook are to take Umug away as he has a way to deal with traitors. At least this should prove to the king who's side Umug is on at least. I think. Toadie proclaims that Umug is in big trouble now. Riiiiggghhhttt. I think the writers are in more trouble than him at this point.

Scene changer of doom (thus proving MCE#3 perfectly) as we see Gad and Zook carry Umug into the forest as the Gummi Bears run after them; with Zummi trying to pull that spell out of the hat of his. Gad and Zook want to give Umug a bath and then hang him out to dry which is torture by ogre standards on ogres; but Cubbi yells at them to stop and Zummi chants his spell as suddenly it's almost daylight. WHAT THE HELL?! That seems way too quick to be taken seriously.

Zummi: Tummar Hummid Bumac Nomaw!
Translation: Tumble Human Bum Ack Now!

Okay; that one makes more sense as daylight comes and Umug turns back into Cavin and he loses the helmet; but keeps the red feather. Cavin wiggles free and proclaims that Zummi did it as he hugs him like a teddy bear (HA!); but there is still Gad and Zook to deal with. So Zummi steps in and ask if they want the same thing to happen to them (Gruffi tells them to beat it after they sell that they don't) and the ogres get all scared and bail stage right like scalded dogs. I guess the perk of not taking a bath is too tempting to lose. Cubbi apologizes to Cavin for thinking that he betrayed them and Cavin asks what ogre has Gummi Bears' for friends. Cubbi and Cavin bail to save the king....

It is morning as Dukie pushes a cuffed Gregor forward who has seemed to regain his bearings since he is no selling Dukie on the deal of surrendering one bit. Dukie does the one slap shove to knock Gregor on his face and tells him to accept defeat like a man. So Gad and Zook run in and want to be saved by whatever as we see Cavin, Zummi and Cubbi hiding behind a log as Zummi gives him a vial of roided juice and Cavin drinks up. It's ROID RAGE....Wait a second? Cavin's BOUNCING LIKE A GUMMI BEAR?! I thought we already stated that when humans drink the juice they get super human strength and not the bouncing properties? Oh; I give up. This episode is good; but the little things are just annoying me to no end. He swings on a tree branch and invokes the DROPKICK OF DEATH on Gad and Zook; knocking all the heel down flat on their faces as Cavin has super sonic speed of Tummi as he grabs the key and uncuffs Gregor. Okay; I can accept that property at least. So Cavin takes the cuffs and cuffs Dukie and Toadie much to Toadie's protests. The king is stunned and confused. Ah; I see the effects of the rock bashing are still there. Cavin then proclaims that they both belong together. BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh wait....Did he just call them a gay couple?

Dukie recovers as he doesn't want to be beaten by a mere boy; but here comes Tuxford and his knights. Toadie doesn't like it one bit and Dukie agrees with him as he orders the retreat and the heels bail like a bunch of scalded dogs. Cavin yells at them to never come back as Cavin comes over to help Gregor just as Tuxford and the knights on horseback arrive as Gregor thanks Cavin for saving his life. Cavin feels humbled and he gives a thumbs up to the babyfaces in a tree. So we head to Dumbwin castle as the crowd pops for the king, Cavin, Calla and Tuxford as Gregor thanks Cavin the page for saving his life and one day will be dubbed a knight. Everyone cheers as Tuxford approves and Calla gives Cavin the Ilana kiss on Cavin's cheek which Cavin sells like Grubby only with some CHEAP HEAT OF LAUGHS. Tuxford likes it as Cavin recovers rubbing his cheek and then gives a thumbs up again on the castle terrance as we see the babyfaces on top. Zummi calls Cavin a big hero today and Cubbi thinks he's an ogre sized hero. HA! Gruffi wishes that there were more humans like him and Zummi thinks there will be (like Calla for instance Gruffi.) as the king, Calla, Cavin and Tuxford all wave to the crowd as we do a triple jump cut to zoom out to a far shot of Dumbwin and that ends the episode at 21:08. A very good episode marred by four major logic breaks that killed the good graces this episode deserved. A bit disappointing. Call it *** ½ (70%).

THE REVIEW LINE

Well; I am a bit more disappointed than I expected to be for this episode. The overall story was a really good one that deserved ****+ ; and the animation was well done and it had a good finish and most of the scenes were all right. However; the episode was marred by four continuity errors: The first one is the scene when Cubbi was grabbed by Igthorn. It was clear that Cavin saved Cubbi from Gad's stomp; but after the commercial break; Cubbi sounded like Cavin had betrayed him which makes no sense since if Cavin was a traitor; he would have allowed Gad to squash him like a grape. Now if Gruffi was the one captured; then that would have been apporos since Gruffi at least has a major grunge against humans. The second major continuity error is when Gregor was grabbed by Cavin in the bedroom. Even the king should have figured out that he was being protected by someone despite his appearance since Gregor was the one who judges by deeds as per in The White Knight. And it doesn't help when Dukie and the ogres are chasing Cavin through the castle either. Now Tuxford and the knights I can understand because they only saw an ogre with the king; but there's no excuse for the king not to notice that when Cavin and Gregor are alone after the second commercial break. The third one is a huge gap in logic as Tuxford was standing on the bridge the whole time and yet it seems he and his group teleported out the moment Cavin popped up from under the bridge in time for Dukie to arrive. At least show a ten second shot of Tuxford leaving the bridge at least. The fourth one is probably the dumbest one which was during the actual finish which Cavin comes in after drinking the juice. He doesn't run in; he bounces in which makes zero sense since humans cannot bounce. I can forgive them for the super speed; but not the bouncing since the show has shown that humans cannot bounce when given the juice.

Now there are some who claim Cubbi violated the one a day juice rule; but that only applies to humans and even then that error has gone out of the barn since the pilot episode. And the scene where the daylight came almost instantly was more rushed than it's supposed to be; but it still kept within the parameters of the episode in general. Still; despite these errors; the rest of the episode was great and it is wonderful to see that Calla can take a good bump; and Gregor's bump to the head was pretty sick in itself. It's sad that the four major continuity errors marred this because Cavin really redeemed himself here. So next up is Never Give A Gummi An Even Break and a season six episode Friar Tum. So......

Thumbs in the middle for this episode and I'll see you all next time.
