TaleSpin DVD Volume Three

Reviewed: 08/26/2016

A Perfect Punchline To Disney's Treatment Of This Series.

Welcome back kiddies; it's time to finally wrap up the TaleSpin DVD sets with thoughts on volume three of this set. For those who wonder why this volume took so long, it's many fold. Number one, after the volume two set was released, it was considered a commercial failure on Disney's part and they decided to not to finish the sets simply because the sets were not selling enough to justify continuing further. This went on for about six years until Disney Movie Club decided to finally release the final eleven episodes of the series in DVD via their exclusive club. Needless to say; I thought about it and then found out that it was basically a money sucking loyalty club that treated customers like sheep instead of customers. I should note that the price of the DVD was around thirty dollars; but that was not a factor in my decision not to join. I spent fifty dollars a pop for the first two volumes of this show; but I was able to get them without forcing to join some silly club. So then I discover that Disney Store's on-line site was selling the DVD's for the same price directly and I figured I could just buy it from there directly. It turns out that the Disney Store only ships to the 48 states in the United States only. So yes folks; Disney doesn't want my money and if I was a conspiracy theorist, I would think that this has something to do with piracy as well as apparently, Canada is a haven of pirates in their eyes. So yeah; I had to wait a year or so before Disney finally realized that forcing you to join some club and buying reports that Canada is a haven of piracy doesn't give you sales nor puts squirrel on the table, so they finally released the DVD's to retail stores (with Walmart being the first store to get them); and they were released for around ten dollars. Which of course begs the question: Why didn't you just do this from the start? Yeah; this company is idiotic at times. Anyhow; the funny thing is: If they had just released it at the stores from the start and sold then for three times the amount they ultimately charged, I would have still bought the set. I also bought both volumes of Goof Troop; but the Gargoyles season two, volume two set was sold out for some reason. So yeah; here we are now. Here's Joe's story of the whole ordeal here.

Before I begin the review; I should also point out that the Walmart version of this DVD version is different from the Disney Movie Club version in terms of the box art on the front and the back. I'll explain the box art of the Walmart version below. The Disney Movie Club version is basically a mountain/waterfall background showing Baloo putting his arms up with Rebecca winking at and with a camera while Kit does his arms folded pose (which I now have seen a prototype version of it); with banana yellow trim and white trim on the inside like a picture frame. This looks so awkward and it looked like Disney was literally telling you that this DMC thing was a form of robbery. The back of the set contained a picture of the TaleSpin gang in Cape Suzette using the prototype designs. If they had used that back shot in the Walmart edition, it would be a big deal since it would be the first prototype shown to mainstream customers; but the Walmart version does not; thus rendering the whole thing pointless. If you have been on-line and are a TaleSpin fan, you have seen this picture many times before. It's fitting that Joe is claiming that he was double duped by Disney since the final episode of this volume set is called Flying Dupes. So does this volume measure up? Read on and find out...

The DVD Box

The DVD box for this set is different from the first two sets. Since only two discs are in this set; the set is a black plastic DVD case that is larger instead of the paper thin like clear plastic cases used in the three disc DVD sets. The front of the box contains the Disney TaleSpin logo and volume three in the middle of the front. Baloo is on top and Kit is on the bottom this time. I'm surprised that they didn't switch it up and replace Kit with Rebecca since Rebecca appears in more episodes than Kit does in this volume (Kit appears in three episodes, Rebecca appears in five episodes.). To the sides of Baloo and Kit; there is a blue map containing Europe. On the bottom right, it shows the "two-disc set" and the Disney DVD logo. On the bottom left, there is the Disney Movie Rewards logo with the codes inside; which I don't care about. The top features a crimson red background saying that this set includes the final eleven classic episodes of TaleSpin. While the box is a vast improvement from the DMC version; I would have perfered Rebecca being below Baloo here since she was in more episodes than Kit was. The end of the DVD box shows the Disney TaleSpin logo with volume three centered in the middle of the spine. The Disney DVD logo is at the top and a picture of Baloo's face (the same one in the front of the box) and the model number on the bottom. Again; nothing special. The back of the DVD set contains all the legal information on the bottom of the disc along with information and logos. Most of this you have seen before in the previous DVD sets. Except for the TV ratings as this set is rated TV-Y. Now; TaleSpin has been rated TV-Y on Toon Disney before, but those episodes had cuts for guns, matches, racism and nooses. So you would expect those edits in this set, right? Nope! All eleven episodes are second run syndication versions and are uncut; rendering the rating completely useless. You couldn't give it a TV-Y7 rating or even a TV-PG rating? I realize the Ontario/Quebec ratings are rated G; but they are in a country where they don't edit out those thing even with that rating. Toon Disney does cut to gain that TV-Y rating. The total running time is 251 minutes by the way. The top of the back features the proof of purchase tabs and barcode along with "Over Four Hours Of Soaring Fun". Nothing really special. The middle of the back contains three pictures, two of them is from "Destiny Rides Again" while one of them is from "Paradise Lost". This is actually great because it actually mirrors the summary posted on the right side of the pictures. The summary mentions Destiny Rides Again, Paradise, The Incredible Shrinking Molly and Bygones. However; I don't know if this is a gaffe or a rib, but one of the sentences read: "Then buckle up for even more excitement as the TailSpin friends..." I mean, seriously?! This cannot be a grammar error; this has to be a rib on me. Anyhow; the box is what it is and I like it.

My Rating on the DVD Box: ****: Replace Kit with Rebecca on the front and this set would have been perfect. I also love the use of the black plastic box here since I only have to describe one box instead of four unlike the previous two volumes.

Disc One

As mentioned in my rating; this applies to both discs since the whole set is in one plastic case. The inside of the plastic case has the recyling logo curved into the plastic case and two black tabs to open and close the disc set. On the right is a removable plastic plate while the first disc would be placed. It contains the four triangle cross push button that annoys me; but it is durable. The second disc is contained behind the removable disc plate on it's own disc plate sealed on the middle right side of the inside plastic case. The discs are silver in color on the top and disc colored on the bottom and are used to print the information on top of the disc. The Disney DVD logo is on the top, the NTSC/Dobly Digital/Region 1 and USA TV Rating logos are on the bottom along with copyright information. The left side contains the TaleSpin logo, Disney logo and the volume logo; while the right side contains the running time. Disc one's length is 160 minutes while disc two's length is 91 minutes approx. As for playback; there is the usual Disney logo sequence for 2014 which looks really neat I might add. There is the usual "FBI warnings" that almost no one cares except for the MPAA of course; to which Disney is apart of. The menus are the usual bland and functional still pictures you have seen in previous volume. I should note that there is no French audio nor French subtitles. There is English subtitles; but there is no Options menu on the disc! Since I use VLC Player on my computer; I was able to find them via a menu. So in other words; you will have to access the subtitles via a button on your DVD remote; and if there isn't one, then you're screwed. That was really lazy on Disney's part to not include an option on the disc to allow for subtitles. I should also point out that the episodes have chapter stops and the video matches the running time for each episode; unlike previous volumes where the opening is up to thirty seconds out of sync. It's not a big deal for most people; but it is for me when doing transcripts. As for Disney Captions; this is their best work yet. The only time I had problems with them was when they try to transcribe a scene where people are talking over them; so they only do one person and ignore the background noise. I think they had a few errors at the most that wasn't involved; but I wasn't screaming at them like in the first volume that is for sure.

My Thoughts: Destiny Rides Again was an episode with the buddies system ends with an average episode. Which by Breadwinners standards would be an eighteen star episode! Animation mistakes and bad use of El Gato were the bane of this episode as he didn't come off as funny outside of the funny name which I probably invented myself out of spite. The condor and the crow were much more interesting than he was. In a span of two minutes; Cathryn buried El Gato with a spiteful (to Warner Brothers anyway, to everyone else, it was very petty) comedy act before he had a chance to be remotely threatening. Despite what I said earlier; I think the somewhat offensive Mexican stereotype was pretty much an afterthought because he acted pretty much American for the entire episode. Una sounded more Spanish and I liked her. Sadly; she didn't get enough character development for my liking. It shows just how over the show was and how poor Cathryn Perdue is in writing episodes outside this show. To be fair to her; this was her debut and was clearly wet behind the ears during this time since her other writing credit was Dink The Little Dinosaur. The thing that would have made this episode better was to have this thing be Kit's destiny instead and have him wear the bracelet and all that stuff because he was on in this entire episode; carrying it on his back even. Have Baloo take the pratfalls and such trying to convince Kit not to continue instead. That would have made this episode a lot better and make Baloo look like the jerk that he is. I know that Kit blowing off Baloo is cheap heat and is above that; but Baloo deserved it in this case for making fun of Kit's pretty dangerous sport which you shouldn't be laughing at. because it can kill you, although Baloo's bumping got a lot more dangerous later on. So in the end it was an average episode that was a good idea if they switch the roles around a bit. I've heard from a number of complaints about Mach One For The Gipper about how the finish is the allegory of the silliness that we see from all the Nick cartoons of today. That the breaking of the sound barrier goes way too far in the suspending disbelief. However; considering that TaleSpin has been up to this point looking too believable that it creates a perspective that this cartoon should have been a live-action show instead; this finish was badly needed. Just like Mommy For A Day, The Old Man & The SeaDuck and Her Chance To Dream; this episode shows that TaleSpin can only work in a cartoon. All in all; a great episode which had a monster over character in Ace London where no matter how cocky he is; he manages to work his butt off. Don Karnage was brilliant as always and the flight sequences are great. If only Wang Films would pick up the slack and not make so many mistakes, this would be perfect. As I stated before; when the people who worked on this show are in the correct environment (like they are here); they can look like absolute geniuses and rarely little can go wrong; like Cathryn Perdue for example. However; on other shows, they are pretty much exposed as average writers or worse. Although some of them might have flashes of brilliance in other shows; it depends on their efforts alone. It just goes to show you that proper execution is everything. Almost anyone can come up with a great idea; but it takes a genius to execute that idea properly.

Stuck On You was different (and still really funny) in the sense that Don Karnage was playing the babyface in this episode. Baloo was screwing his plans as he attempted to show that he had some honor in his work; even though he is a clear terrorist. Baloo's values of evil and good were so screwed up the moment he got stuck in the glue with Don that this was the only way that this episode would he worked without breaking logic. This was a Flintstones plot line that once again worked better than the original because there was a clear face and heel in this episode. Sadly; this was getting stale at this point and they kept going to it and people cared less and less about it. Baloo was mean in this episode and even through all that; instead of getting Don Karnage to sick his boys to attack Baloo; he basically punished them for committing treason against him. He basically let Baloo go and was very honest in what he stated. Baloo was the one who was dishonest as was evident in the last lines of the episode. This creates the impression that Don Karnage was a good guy and Baloo was the bad guy even though they are complete opposite. It's little wonder why parent groups hate certain cartoons (After all; the babyface/heel lines cannot cross in family values zone. Even though Kit already zigzagged around it twice in Plunder & Lightning.) and why we as human beings love them. There is a sense of difference; even in the lines of good vs. evil. Baloo, Kit and Rebecca are morally gray characters in this series. They are not heroes; and at least two of them are not trying to be. Baloo is trying to be the hero; but doesn't want to put the work into becoming one. Kit and Rebecca just want to be merely nice person in a sea of horrible people. The problems were the bad Sunwoo animation at the beginning of the episode and then I got really frustrated at some of the dialog that simply didn't make any sense whatsoever for the context of the episode. The whole Rebecca calling a doctor went nowhere and of course some of the funnier moments were ruined because Toon Disney hated Dumptruck having a gun despite the fact that we saw Dumptruck with the gun when Don Karnage blew his cover. There's also a major dead end angle here: What about Rebecca and the mental hospital? Why wasn't that paid off? Oh, because Baloo let Don Karnage go instead of having him arrested and thus Baloo obstructed justice. So overall; the whole storyline and antics were awesome; but they were dulled by animation mistakes and some out of place dialogue. I like The Sound & The Furry as WildCat worked his ass off in order to impress me at every turn and Baloo finally got what he deserved for acting like such a jerk after he won a race which had no competition. Sure; Baloo wasn't at fault for sabotaging the planes; but he still acted like a jerk. The greasing and spooning was just priceless as the writers managed to find a way to BS&P the episode and still make it funny. Yes; this was a clear BS&P decision, but to be fair, professional wrestling does the same thing because real tar can maime people in real life. Just a fact. Like Baloo could sabotage a plane by himself. Crazy Edie was a pretty cool heel and the “lobsters” had more character development as a team than the Fluppy Dogs did and the lobster had half the time to pull it off. The furries non-verbal cues were great. I'm amazed that I went through this rant and didn't mention how skilled they were in that department. Still; this episode had it's flaws; most notably the phantom lobster furry on Wily Pole's plane who didn't speak once in this episode despite the only one having a name. I'm shocked he didn't get any lines, despite the fact that Frank Welker is the voice of Wily Pole. Mind boggling! Overall; I enjoyed this episode and the quality is better than Stuck On You in spite of Stuck On You being funnier and more flawed. No thanks to Sunwoo's continuity screw ups.

The Road To Macadamia was another perfect episode with some outstanding Warner Brother bumps and some beautiful love between Baloo, Louie and Lotta. Len Uhley is actually smart enough to rib on Warner Brothers while at the same time making the spots great. Lotta L'Amore is another one of those tough females who probably has the hottest body in all of TaleSpin. It was little wonder why Baloo and Louie were making such passes at her. Man; she was sexy for a DTVA female. Plus; she's intellgent and she isn't trying to screw anyone over. She hates the heel; she like her well meaning, but somewhat clueless dad and she can fight back. Still; even if Len Uhley didn't make her that way this was a fun ride with a nice screw job thanks to King Amok of all characters who acted stupid the whole time and he outsmarts Baloo and Louie out of marrying Lotta and a proper reward. That was just priceless as Louie and Baloo got their rightous nuts kicked by King Amok for trying to make him think that he was gullible. Just beautiful. Trample was okay I guess mostly due to taking his punishment like a man; but not one time was he voiced by Michael Rye. I'm guessing that he was part of the ADR group. Few animation mistakes and only one logic break were present; but there were some really silly moments in this one. Which works here because this was supposed to be a full on homage to the Hope & Crosby movies and it delivered. Oh boy; they delivered. Plus; this show did it in less time than the real thing did, although technology did help that one out in comparison. Still; most of them were really funny and there was nothing better than seeing Baloo and Louie falling over for Lotta. I guess this is why Mark Lungo loved this episode. I love it too and it deserves the full monty for its references to the Road To series. Like Mach One For The Gipper; The Ransom Of The Red Chimp was pretty silly with lots of laughs and proof that Don Karnage is a babe magnet of the best kind. Or worse if you are Don Karnage and you're a clever terrorist. Don Karnage was the star of the show; getting himself over in his own boxer shorts and making me laugh every time Aunt Louise tried to get her hands on him. Don was just too funny and he showed off the biggest physical weakness of being a handsome pirate. Aunt Louise was awesome too as she proved that she can fly a plane with the best of them and knows how to have fun; mostly at Louie's expense. I mean; how many times can you ski in TaleSpin?! I don't think they did a skiing angle in DTVA until Goof Troop I think. All in all; the animation was very good (few spots screwed up), zero logic breaks and even the Air Pirates were on today; and they managed to pull it off with little gun play. The only scene was the one where they shot the clouds dead. You could run this on ABC and it would pass muster easily. Yes; this episode buried Don Karnage as a serious heel; but unlike Duke Igthorn; Don Karnage has the comedy chops to back himself up should his drama heel stock got destroyed in the process. Hey; if you are going to get buried; this is the best way to do it and Libby should be commended for that at least. Also notable for the amount of lines Jim Cummings had to speak as this episode was done to amuse Libby Hinson as much as it was to entertain us.

Okay; where to begin here in Your Baloo's In The Mail? I'll start with the positives: Now to be perfectly fair; I did love Grindstone and Ralph; their antics were pretty funny. The fake blood rib and Baloo's clam excuse were downright hilarious. Molly and Rebecca were okay until the ending and Sunwoo's animation was dead on for the most part. I never complained about the animation once on this episode. Then again; Sunwoo's stiff animation proved to work wonders in an episode with no real cartoon spots. Baloo's performance was also pretty good too; for the most part. Ed Gilbert's acting was carrying the episode; which is great for Baloo, but it doesn't help the episode any. These elements literally saved this episode from being the DUD it deserves to be. Jermey Cushner might just be the worst writer for this series and it showed as I was cringing at the number of contrived spots (six of them) that were mostly out of context. A few logic breaks didn't help it either and a sub par performance from Kit Cloudkicker to boot which in my view is the worst performance ever for this series on television. He only did two spots that were any good. Actually; the slow joke was fine, it was that awful finish and ending that killed this episode. Grindstone didn't get enough character development and Ralph became a victim of the annoying joke that it was hard to laugh at them for doing it. This is exactly what I mean when Seth McFarlane tries to do a funny joke and doesn't know when to end it properly. Cushner continued this joke from the ten minute mark onward and it got depressing in the end because ; in spite of it all, it didn't lead to a payoff of Baloo winning against all odds and a ticket from a jaywalking cop. The whole ending swevere was all right and then it instantly turned to crap as we reset the entire episode again. The reset button didn't need to be pushed twice; or even once because even if Rebecca had won; she wasn't going to let Baloo buy back the SeaDuck anyway since she only won $100,000; which would only improve her business standing a notch; but no more. This idiot plot would have worked in Goof Troop since Goofy is a funny idiot; but it is cringe worthy to watch it in a show that professes to be the true Disney on free television. Overall; we had a solid made episode from the animators with decent performances from guys I didn't think had it in them and the slow mail joke could have been funny for a time; however, it died in three minutes because it was a thin joke and needed a really good subplot to make the episode very good. Instead; Jermey Cushner never bothered to write one. Actually; the slow joke was entertaining throughout. It was mostly because the whole episode was pointless, which is a rare sight in TaleSpin, even in the comics. We saw only around 15 seconds tops of Rebecca shopping. I wanted to see at least a couple of minutes of Rebecca shopping because it would really show her greediness towards money.

My Rating for Disc One: *** ¾ : Probably the weakest disc of the entire series. Destiny Rides Again was a hot mess and Your Baloo's In The Mail would have worked better in Goof Troop. That being said; ** 1/4 is the lowest rating in the series. There are shows that would kill for that rating as their peak!

TaleSpin Disc 2 Episode Rants

Paradise Lost Re-Rant- "CH-CH-CH-CHIADISE!"

The Incredible Shrinking Molly Re-Rant- "Never Let Pop-A-Bear Predict The Future."

Bygones Re-Rant- "Bloody Bygones!"

Flying Dupes Re-Rant- "Cue Ominous Music!"

My Thoughts: WildCat is one of those characters who can surprise anyone with his performance. Most people think that he's only there for comic relief and to annoy Baloo once in a while. Paradise Lost, I believe can change that perspective in a hurry. He really showed his heart for a group that was virtually defenseless against a furry was a gun who lied to Baloo about his plans of turning the paradise into a tourist attraction and wanted it into a hunting/killing field. This episode approached the animal theme much better than All's Whale did in the sense that O'Roarke was a much more effective heel. O'Roarke was a lot more effective as a heel because O'Roarke did a great job of creating a facade being reasonable that I almost felt sorry for him. Until he brought out the guns for the second time and then he turned into a heel. Plus; he didn't own the paradise which made him more effective as a result. While I didn't get as misty-eyed about this episode as some of the others; I blame that more on myself than on the writers effectiveness because WildCat's five minutes was all he needed to change from being just a comedy relief character into a character was a true heart of gold. All that; and he could still be very funny at the same time. What a great episode from Jeffrey Scott. The only flaw in the episode was probably the episode title; Paradise Lost sounded like the writers ripped off the episode title from a book since I felt The Hunt was more daring. However; the original episode title does sound too violent and probably gave away the whole episode. I think The Hunt For Paradise would have been more effective; then again, that could have been copyrighted as well. Oh well; all in all, a perfect episode that occurs late in the series and there were only three major characters with only two of them (no Kit or Karnage) playing a major role. Plus; they allowed someone to actually get shot with a gun too; all before Deadly Force. What more could you want from that Well; The Incredible Shrinking Molly is one that I have since mellowed out and the reviewing of this episode showed that it is still a big mess with animation mistakes, some horrible mistiming, bad impact stars and eight logic breaks from Chuck Tately including the gaping SeaDuck in the room moment that made no sense. Most of the other problems with this episode were animation that should have been given more time to be patched up. However; unlike last time I noticed that the acting was much better than I thought (there were some problems in certain areas); but the episode was very enjoyable and there was great effort when WD-France wasn't making mistakes. Kit was better than in Your Baloo's In The Mail; although he still was merely above average compared to his usual awesome self. Doctor Zibaldo still carried this episode as I expected too; although it would have made more sense to have him as a leopard doctor like in the movie from the beginning to maintain continuity with the rest of the episode. Actually; it would have made less sense when you consider what the episode was shooting for. Baloo and Rebecca were pretty good as well. Plus; we had a killer ending and a good finish once the rat grew big so overall; this went from an episode that was the worst in the series to an episode that could have been ****+ had it not been for really bad mistakes by the animators and Chuck Tately.

Bygones was another great episode that could have been perfect had it not been for animation screw-up and in this case a minor sound effect problem later in the episode. Rick Skye was great and while he did have a certain mystique to him; it would have been nice if he would show his anger a little more emotionally. He at times sounded just a little too cold. On another great front; it was also nice to have a British-voiced face since there are so few in American Animation and most of them are money snobs. Rick Skye was a good exception to that rule; he had some honor in him. Sadly; he really thought that he was still in a war and the rules of war apply which in many cases clash with the morality of a peacetime world. Rick Skye stealing Baloo's SeaDuck as one grand example. Still; this is not for a TV-Y audience because the amount of gun play is a lot more than some TV-PG/TV-14 shows that I have seen. Then again; the whole rating system was to sell a useless device so there you go. Personally; this had enough shooting for a TV-Y7 episode; but the bullets made it look like TV-14 at times. And Mad Dog was killed to boot! So; overall, as a 22 minute episode, it was awesome. However; if this was extended to 44 minutes with some of the suggestions I made; this would be super f'n awesome! As for Flying Dupes, I was glad to watch the episode again and it was much better than I originally thought it would be and I have to give credit to Colonel Spigot. He really played his role of being the strong talker with no muscles and we saw a great payoff from Martin Donoff showing that he is one step better than some who currently write for Disney and some of the former as well. Still; a few logic breaks and some cringe worthy moments near the end of episode prevented this one from becoming a perfect score. The animation was once again solid as only Walt Disney Animation Japan can do well once they got over their cola disappearing and reappearing tricks with Dunder's soda bottle. So we end the series with a bang for both the right and wrong reasons. I like this episode; but you have to take in consideration the context of why this was blacklisted. I think there was some justification for a ban since the whole thing was played for comedy and that's a line you really shouldn't cross. However; the blacklist was completely ineffective because it only applied to channels Disney could control directly. Outside of that, the episode has always been shown. Of course; it doesn't help that the episode was delayed until August for no reason other than the fact that the plotline was incredibly problematic.

My Rating On Disc Two: **** 3/4: The Incredible Shrinking Molly is the worst episode on the disc and most of it's problems was with the animation. We have WildCat's best episode of the series, we have a great dogfight episode and even the formally blacklisted episode all on one disc! Sure; it's only four episodes, but these episodes rule and you could put them as a "Best Of..." series and it would work on that level.

Extras

This is an easy section to write because there were no real extras on the set other than subtitles and the Sneak Peak section which is all one big ad fest.. While this is extremely disappointing; it wasn't surprising at all. Disney I'm sure was annoyed when they discovered that people still care about this series and wanted it completed. Considering that Tim Val Hal is writing a book about this show's production (among others) which will probably be sold for fifty dollars; there doesn't seem to be the need to add on extras that most people don't care about. More so when those customer are happy enough that this series is even completed on DVD, something no other DTVA series can claim (unless you are a diehard Gargoyles fan that pretends Goliath Chronicles never existed). Since there are no extras there is No Rating.

My Rating for the Entire DVD Set: **** 1/4 (85%)

THE REVIEW LINE

Yes folks; I cannot believe that the TaleSpin Volume sets have been completed. This third volume was all right as a bare bones set; but it felt a little lazy mostly due to a lack of a set up option in the menu (inspite of having English subtitles anyway) and a total lack of extras. They could have easily fitted the Plunder and Lightning Disney Channel edition on this disc even without moving an episode from the second disc to the first one. I guess they figured: "Why would we do that when the syndication version is a lot more polished?" The answer is: "Because you cut out moments that were very important and would have changed people's minds about certain characters and moment in that pilot." Of course; Disney didn't care about this series in 1990 as they treated it like it was a nuisance, and the fact that they treated it like this now is a punchline of the show's life. Anyhow; the strength of this set is the episodes and with only two episodes being below the Stud Muffin scoring system, that's pretty impressive. When your lowest rating is ** 1/4; that is impressive. Even Gargoyles cannot claim that! Besides; at least the series is completed on DVD (uncut) and iTunes (I don't know since I didn't buy them from iTunes and I have no desire to do so.) and I'm happy for it since other series are either only on iTunes completed (Ducktales, Rescue Rangers) or not completed at all (Darkwing Duck, Goof Troop and Gargoyles if you don't completely hate Goliath Chronicles). So; now that all the DVD sets are completed, I'm ready to work on the comics, spoofs and cleaning up this 25 years of celebration for this series. So...

I give this DVD a thumbs up; and I'll see you next time.
